As a newbie to both Tucson and the wonders of the Sonoran Desert, I realized in short order I would need a "go-to" place. I had an issue with a wonderful backyard fountain that I inherited with the purchase of my house. Too nice to get rid of, yet, was non-functionable. Visited these fine folks. They followed up with an 11th hour appointment I made, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. I initally lost all hope yet these people came thru with a perfect fix and repair. Had the good fortune of visiting their nursery grounds during my visit. Lots of visual eye-candy when it comes to specimen desert plants. Visit them and shop with confidence

Daniel and his staff have been so very helpful in helping us decide on how to design our front yard. Tucson Cactus & Koi has a great variety of plants are very competitively priced. I feel welcomed when visiting Tucson Cactus & Koi! I highly recommend taking a trip and enjoying the huge variety of cacti at Tucson Cactus & Koi.

Tucson Koi & Water Gardens is a wonderful new addition to the "Metal arts Village," just north of Fort Lowell on Dodge. It shares space with a business called "Colors by Nature" that sells garden statuary and arts (mostly big buddha statues). The two businesses run in tandem, each with different owners. Colors by Nature lends its buddha statues to Tucson Koi & Water Gardens, so prospective buyers can see how nicely the two elements mesh together. Funny the way things happen... Since I showed a house a few weeks ago that had the greatest koi pond, I'd been thinking how cool it would be to have a koi pond in our backyard. I had asked the listing agent of the house with the koi pond where they got theirs, but the owners of that house didn't know where it had come from- since it came with the house when they bought it. Today ended up being the serendipitous day that I discovered the best place in Tucson to get a koi pond! I am still not sure if (or when) we will actually get one. But at least now, I know where to come when I am ready to take the plunge. In addition to custom Koi ponds and gardens, Tucson Koi & Water Gardens will customize outdoor patio living areas, like banco benches and kiva fireplaces. They have a beautiful banco bench/combination kiva fireplace, complete with a succulent garden at their outdoor showroom on Dodge. Additonally, Tucson Koi & Water Gardens received an award in 2011 for excellent landscape architect design of a koi pond sanctuary for a house in Tucson. If you've been thinking of doing some custom upgrades to your backyard, Tucson Koi & Water Gardens is a great place to start!

This place is hands down my new favorite. The prices are very reasonable. Came by on a Saturday afternoon with the pups and they had an event going on. Great out reach to the community and for not being a green thumb they were super helpful at helping me pick a plant. Daniel the manager was very nice and knowledgeable and Adriana helped us carry the gopher plant to the car. Definitely returning.

The selection will knock your socks off! Bring water and an umbrella. I will be back with my credit card! Well worth every penny and I had many left over. No puedo decir suficientes palabras amables sobre este negocio y todo el personal! He visitado varias veces e incluso he traído a la familia para disfrutar de un día de tranquilidad. Verdaderamente agradecido.

I went in mainly to look…read moreat houseplants and was really impressed by the wide range of sizes--everything from small starter plants to some seriously impressive extra-large ones that could probably become a full roommate. I wasn't even shopping for outdoor plants, but it was clear they have a huge variety if you are. It's the kind of place where you walk past section after section and keep thinking, "Oh wow... they have that too?" They also have a great selection of pots, so it's dangerously easy to convince yourself you need "just one more plant" because you already found the perfect pot for it. Definitely a fun place to explore if you love plants... or if you accidentally keep becoming a plant person.

We finally settled on Acacia because of how very helpful the gentleman was when we stopped by. He explained several options and pros and cons of each and gave us a quote immediately. After further discussion we decided to proceed with the project and stopped by to make our payment. (We had priced out the same plant at 3 other locations which ranged anywhere from 3-7 dollars more expensive, PER plant!) We met with one of the new owners who was absolutely great to work with. She answered all of our questions and even let our dog hang in the office with us while we checked out. (I'm a sucker for any dog lovers!) The two gentleman who delivered our large order were thourough, experienced and extremely helpful!! They even got a pesky oleander out we had been fighting with for a few weeks!! We will only be using Acacia going forward due to their stellar customer assistance, knowledge, and price. Highly recommended!!
