I saw Tu To Bakery on YouTube and everything looked good. Decided to stop by and checked them out today. Since this is my first time, I only got a few pate chaud and a few bao buns with pork and egg filling. Pate chaud is a French pastry with ground pork filling and is somewhat similar to an empanada but with a more flaky shell on the outside. I've eaten a lot of pate chaud growing up and also at many French bakeries over the years, so I am familiar with it. I was impressed with these at Tu To bakery. Baked to a beautiful golden brown color and the meat was very tasty. It's a small size and enough for a quick snack. I haven't tried the buns yet so we'll see. read more

Tofu boba drink, really delicious! I haven't tried their other stuff here yet, but I got their tofu drinks here with my family and they all love it. The tofu is soft and silky to drink, the milk to topping ratio was not enough milk for mg preference, but it's still good. The tofu itself is not that sweet, but there's syrup and milk that helps balance it out. Unless you're not a sweet person, it might be sweet to some. This is a great small business that gives off mom & pop shop vibes. The owner was friendly and really patient when I took forever on choosing what I wanted . I stopped by here because I was looking to buy some food from a bakery and this place was the nearest one. I'm glad I chose to go here because the pate chaude and cream sandwiches were amazingly delicious. The bread on the pate chaude was crispy and the pork was packed with flavor. I was randomly in the area and spotted this little spot, so I decided to check it out based on the reviews. It's a tiny takeout-only spot with a solid variety of baked goods. I came mainly for the pâté chaud and ended up grabbing a couple of combo bánh bao too. The pâté chaud was super good -- light, flaky, and had a nice amount of filling. As for the bánh bao, I got the kind you heat up at home. The dough was fluffy, the filling was meaty, and I really liked the salted egg yolk inside. I came in wanting to try the vegetarian pate chauds as listed on their tv menu. However, the gentlemen's behind the counter, as nice as he was, informed me that those must be ordered in advance. No where did it say on the menu to do so as it was listed as a regular menu item instead that I assumed was available. The sweet taro bread bao was also not available :( Nonetheless, I ordered the meat pate Chaud, the ham sandwich, combo Bánh bao, a vegetarian banh bao (they had these at least!) and the pork floss bread with a cafe sua da. Although the size of the items were small, the total came out to about $30. We plopped a seat at a nearby park and tried each item. The meat pate Chaud stole the show for me. Buttery, salty, meaty, flaky...I'll order these in a heart beat again. The ham sandwich had a huge fat strip of mayo and although these small sandwiches reminded me of Lily bakery's ham sandwiches on a sweet bread, I think these were far superior in terms of freshness but I could have done away with less mayo. The banh baos were mediocre... I recommend going to yummy banh baos if you're in the mood for some great baos instead. The vegetarian bao was probably the worst tasting item out of the bunch. The flavor did not sit right with me :( I felt that it was too earthy for my palette and I love vegetarian food so this was a let down. Lastly, the pork floss buttery bread was a nice addition. The fatty butter was the perfect spread to match with the dry pork floss; however, I do wish that the bread was fresher...it did taste a bit for me. read more

I came here on Friday Sept 5, 2025 and bought 2 che banh lot drinks. The che banh lot drinks were horrible! My friend and my mom said the drinks were terrible! The green banh lot had no taste. I've tried so many from other bakeries but Tu To has the best. Soft, buttery buns with fresh ingredients. My dad enjoyed this one too Pate Chaud (2ct, $2 each): mix of chicken and pork filling. I popped mine in the air fryer for an additional few minutes and it was perfect. Flakiest crusts and meat filling wasn't dry Banh bao (9ct, $14): Microwaved these for a quick lunch and oh my! I used to frequent another popular spot on Bolsa but no more. The banh bao at Tu To is delicious, moist and flavorful Custard bun ($2.25): finally a place that doesn't skimp on the custard filling Passion fruit Panna cotta: Nicely tart and my dad enjoyed 2 viet coffees ($5 each): my only gripe was even with ice added, the cups weren't full. We came to try the bao buns to compare to other places in the area. Love their combination bao ($14/box) and salted egg yolk ($18/box). They also sell by individual. I like how the skin was very soft and the very tasty meat. This may be my new favorite place to buy baos in the future. Looks like they do catering for events. I like how they use the pretty paper boxes instead of the plastic or foam containers from other bakeries. Service is super friendly and there was no line when we went. Then reheat in toaster over each morning for breakfast. After a week and they still taste good.
