This was my first time here. It is a quiet setting and seems very clean. Husband got pho and I got the noodle bowl that I can't remember the name of. Both were huge portions but we definitely finished both of them. They have hoisen, soy sauce, and sriracha for you to add to your food. Great service and food came out quickly. Very pleased and hope to go back again to try the hibachi items which looked very tasty as well! They ask if you want chopsticks or a fork. This was my first time at the restaurant. It was clean and quiet. The waitress was polite and took good care of us. I should say that there was only one thing on the menu I could eat as I am vegan- the teriyaki tofu. It was just the right amount. I have had teriyaki dishes before and often found them to be too sweet or too salty. This sauce was just right, not too salty not too sweet. I love pho and have been to restaurants that offered pho with a vegetable broth and tofu. I wish they would have had that on their menu. It would have been nice to have more of a choice. My husband ordered the beef, sausage, and vegetable pho. He finished every drop of a very large bowl. I would have given them 5 stars of they would have had more vegan options. read more

As big as Bowling Green is, you would think there would be a few good places to eat. No or I haven't found them. I'm from Macon, Ga. and we had some of the best places. I then lived in Murphy, N.C. a fairly small town but we had the absolute best Chinese and then Chinese/American buffet. I went there very often for 20+ years and it was always good. I watched that young couple work so hard to build that business. They finally had a really large building built on the main 4 lane and a few years later they build a Casino there so I hope he is reaping the reward of his hard work. Don't think anyone here in BG is even trying very hard. Food just was not good. Fried rice was the worse I've ever eaten. The tiny rice noodles were good but for $8.95 I expect to get more than about a third cup of chicken and green onions in it. That was a real rip off. Person who took the order was nice. read more

I am a study abroad student. When I was in BG, I came here to have a bowl of pho and a plate of fresh spring roll at least twice a week, sometime even more than that. It's the rare Vietnamese restaurant in Bowling Green, KY. Let's just start off by marveling at that fact. The first time I saw the sign, I immediately began beaming. I don't know much about Vietnamese food as a whole, but I love pho, the hearty Vietnamese soup filled with noodles and meat. I have loved it since my high school days in California when I would eat at hole-in-the-wall establishments in San Jose and San Francisco. These were restaurants that were not the best in terms of interior design and aesthetics, but had a constant flow of customers because the food was of great quality. I found the pho at Tsunami to be great. I just had a very simple bowl with noodles and steak. The broth was good and slightly sweet. I was provided with a side of garnishes (bean sprouts, cilantro), but I simply left them out. Upon finishing my large bowl, I was offered a free dessert of either flan or chocolate cake, which are somewhat odd pairings for Vietnamese food, but I appreciated the gesture and accepted the flan. On a second visit, I had their daily special of chicken teriyaki with rice and vegetables, served with a side of miso soup. It's basically the same dish you can find at Samurai and Ichiban, two other popular restaurants in this city. During each visit the service was friendly and attentive. The prices are inexpensive. My only issue with Tsunami is that it's generally empty. Each time I have visited, only one or two other customers were present. Based on that and the newly listed hours of service, I fear that Tsunami won't last long in Bowling Green. Despite the quality of the food, there just doesn't seem to be enough demand. I hope I can continue getting my pho fix, though. read more

I was on vacation and I stopped here only because I knew they would have a lot of vegetarian/vegan options. Boy, was I ever wrong. The menu made me feel like they don't cater to Vegans/ Vegetarians at all. Im thinking there are a lot of meat eaters in this small city. So I had to ask him do they have this or that and im like ..WTCrap!!! So he eventually said we have Tofu, The menu dont even say TOFU ?? The restaurant appeared very clean, no one was in there, I loved the cozy feel of it and the food was amazing . My only advice is to cater not just for locals but the tourists that travel through. read more

I have always loved tsunami's and will continue to LOVE this place. The owner is such a great guy! Always pleasant and such a hard worker! The staff are amazing and friendly! I'm a sucker for there PHO! I'm always there every week sometimes 4 days out the week ordering their P3. I do sometimes wish he had some tendon though, but that never stops me! Had lunch here today... very pleasant experience. Both the food and the service will make me return. I had the fresh spring roll appetizer (shrimp) and the Pho Ga. Both were really good. The spring rolls were served with a yummy peanut sauce. The Pho Ga was loaded with lots of chicken and noodles and came in a huge bowl. It maybe, possibly needed a tad bit more seasoning, but not so much so that I did not enjoy it or would not order it again. Just to also note, the waitress was amazing! We were passing thru from Alabama to Ohio and stopped for the night in Bowling Green, Ky. We found Tsunami through yelp. We were NOT disappointed! We ordered takeout so we could eat by the pool at the hotel while watching the kids swim. Food was Fantastic! We ordered the chicken Pho per the yelp reviews. Amazing! We also had the spring rolls, General Tso's chicken and the Vietnamese vermicelli chicken dish. Everything was fabulous, including all the sauces that accompanied the food. It is not as authentically Vietnamese as I wished, seeming the food has been adjusted to a more non-Asian palate. My son had the pho and he said it was really good. Unfortunately I was not happy with my order. We placed an order using a food delivery service. The side of fried rice did not have egg or vegetables. My dish which was shrimp fried rice had shrimp that were not deveined and the rice was hard. The teriyaki chicken barely had vegetables and all of the rice include was not fresh and hard. Since my nickname is 'Tsunami' our dinner selection when driving through Kentucky was easy. In Dayton there's a good Vietnamese restaurant named Lihn's so we had a certain baseline beforehand. This restaurant is AWESOME. The first thing you will notice is how nice the atmosphere is. When you walk in there is a large fish tank with tropical fish - nice touch! The walls are painted a bold crimson and the ceiling jet black. High-quality halogen bulbs showcase some colorful yet pleasant artwork on the walls. Great place to relax and eat. The men's room was clean. We all ordered the Pho and it was delicious. Better than Lihn's in my opinion (which I hold in high regard). Big large bowl, fresh sprouts, and jalapenos with very tasty steak, pork, and rice noodles. All three of us loved it. We also had crab rangoon (nailed it) and spring rolls (a little bit bland but the peanut dipping sauce was like a bau5). The waitress was friendly, warm, quick, and offered us free desert! +1 I'm a bottom line guy, I like a lot of food for a low price. This place satisfies that as well. The Pho bowl was straight gratuitous and only 7 bucks. Can't beat that. Throw in the very nice atmosphere, courteous and quick service, and the cleanliness, and you have an great restaurant. read more
