Clean and cozy place with super friendly staff. The meal was pretty good but not the Japanese cuisine we expected. Our soup was clear broth soup, not sure if miso is even offered as the soup came out immediately and was complimentary. Can't complain and it was tasty. Our Agedashi tofu was thickly breaded like fried ice cream rather than a light thin coating. My order of Chirashi came with about 6 thin slices of individual fish varieties which were good and served over sushi rice, but a very meager portion for Chirashi. The salad that accompanied it was larger than normal and actually pretty tasty. We also ordered Ikura nigiri which was the best thing of the whole meal experience. First time I've ordered Chirashi and left hungry. The assorted pickles were nice though. I wouldn't say don't go here - it's nice with friendly staff. I don't recommend the Chirashi however for the price, nor the Agedashi tofu for the texture. Overall okay. read more

This is our new go to restaurant in Bowling Green. We've been living here since 2019 and can't believe we never found this place before! The food is amazing. The service is great they make you feel comfortable and the prices you can't beat! This will be our weekly restaurant trip every week. Only thing I can say is they should clean their bathroom a little better read more

Edamame was so rubbery and might have been the worst I've ever had. Yummy sauce tasted like it was Ranch Dressing based with other nasty ingredients added to try and sweeten it up. Poor/slow service. 40 minute meal and never offered a refill on an ice tea. read more

The food we ordered was really good. The Eel Roll was our favorite! Our server was very nice and helpful, however, I think there was a mishap in the kitchen and caused our sushi to come out a lot later than we anticipated (an extra 25-30 minutes later). I was disappointed. Ordered an egg roll, shumai and pot stickers and all came out deep-fried. Upon review of the menu, it does state that they're fried but traditionally the shumai and pot stickers are STEAMED. Yes, the menu says the pot stickers "can be steamed upon request" so perhaps my fault for not reading "the fine print" but... should I have to? It presents itself as traditional, but wasn't. read more

My favorite location (we have two in BG) is in the small "mall". I love the staff, they remember us and our favorite things to eat! Amazing foods! Huge selection of sushi's, whether you're a veteran sushi lover or new to trying it! Also if you'd like a low key place to watch the game or a boxing match. They have two TVs! Great place! They have you sanitize, grab a paper menu, and pick where you wanna sit. They are very friendly! I has Sashimi A (wonderful)! Hubby had sushi/sashimi combo (yum)!! We even had 2 large and delicious saki and our bill with tip was only $67!! We attempted 2 other sushi places but due to COVID one was closed and one was takeout only! Sucks for them!! We have two Ichiban's here in our town. Both make excellent sushi. But I prefer the eggs rolls from the Ichiban on the Bypass - so fresh and superb, wonderfully flavored, delicious crunch. Usually I don't have a problem with this place but their staff lately is...interesting. The waiter took a long time to finally get to us with drinks, when she finally did she seemed super annoyed and gave my dad a dirty look. Her stance and the way she asked us what we wanted to oder was as if we were a nuisance, we assumed maybe she was annoyed about something not relevant to us and shrug it off. He asked for a refill twice, was ignored. We never saw our waiter again except the times she brought us our drinks and food. We didn't do anything rude or say anything mean, we just walked in and sat down immediately (as directed) - always saying please and thank you. My dad and I kept trying to figure out if we accidentally did something wrong as she was friendly with the other customers and was checking on all of them except for us. I regret not just walking out when we were waiting forever for our drinks. We just wanted to get out of there as soon as we could so we wouldn't be stuck waiting around for our receipt for another 30 minutes, so we asked another waiter for it. We left without tipping. Something we never do. I don't think we're going to be coming back anytime soon. read more

I will not be coming here again. I ordered take out the other day and ordered steak fried rice and they gave me chicken which isn't my main issue. My main issue is that as i was eating my leftover egg rolls there was a long dark hair right in the middle of it. I called them and they said they could do nothing about it but obviously they aren't staying up to health standards. read more

My husband and I had dinner here on Friday, July 3. We ordered Shumai for our appetizer. The server surprised us with a second appetizer of Miso Soup. We THOUGHT we were ordering Shrimp Tempura rolls, but we actually had a "Crunch Roll" instead. We still enjoyed our meal. read more

This was the worst sushi I have ever had. The fish wasn't very fresh and it had a bitter aftertaste. We also got combo tempura which I expected shrimp and veggies, got the shrimp which was burnt , onion rings and chicken what the hell. Would not recommend. read more

Ichiban was recommended to me by the hotel staff while I was in town. Props to them, as I had dinner there that night, and the next night as well. It helped that the restaurant was a 2 minute drive and didn't have to get on cave mill road. Anyway, both nights were consistent on good service and food being brought out very quickly. I had the beef and shrimp teriyaki combo and the special roll. Both were good but special roll was excellent both nights. Also, very cheap beer and cheap menu. Highly recommend. read more

I really like coming here during the week at night because it's usually very quiet. It's a great place to have a romantic dinner. Menu is identical to the one on the bypass, so whichever one you're close to you will get the same experience. On a side note, some of the SWEETEST tea in town!! read more
