The food was great. Yum yum sauce was great. I've only had one better and it's hard to beat. The service was great. The 18% gratuity (parties of 6 or more) is slightly aggravating, especially since they ask for "extra tip" when paying. But not too big of a deal. The night we went was so hot that my friend wanted to get naked. The waitress said she informed someone about it and it may have changed slightly. We did not sit at the table with them cooking in front of us. We really would've been hot then! We will be back for sure.

Decided to stop in and try Shogun in Bowling Green for takeout. Once inside we decided to stay for dinner.

We were seated promptly as the place was starting to fill up with customers. The booth seats were not clean so we moved to a table instead. The table was really wobbly and had to move to another table. The floor was a little sticky in the bar area. Once situated, our server was very friendly and helpful. We noticed that the people at the table next to us left plenty of food on their plate when they left and did not take any with them. I wondered why. My wife ordered the Hibachi Shrimp dinner with rice and noodles. She said the rice was undercooked and a little crunchy. The soup and salad that accompanied her meal was phenomenal. She really liked the soup. I gave her mine to bring home. I ordered the ribeye steak, medium with a baked potato. The baked potato was hot and delicious but the ribeye was thin and a bit tough. Not tender and juicy at all. We were disappointed overall with our food quality but the service was excellent. Now we know why the people that were sitting next to us did not take any food home with them. I really wanted this to be an awesome experience but it was underwhelming at best.

It has to be bagged ramen.

This used to be about a 4 star, but over the years this place has severely deteriorated in quality. Just got done ordering a Miso Ramen + chicken. $14, but it used to be $10 recently and the chicken is an added item now. Also, the ramen tasted like bagged maruchan. Very poor-quality ramen, soggy, and tasted like bag ramen after it sat around for a while. Their staple has stay consistent through the years at least. The hibachi chicken and steak hit par, but nothing memorable. The hibachi noodles are nice, and so is the rice. Also, I'm giving it two stars cause of how problematic it is to order through their website. The entire menu isn't there, you can't order just a chicken hibachi or just a steak option. Prices aren't updated. The UI is bugged and I have to reload the entire page and navigate through it. Then when I tried to call them, they never picked up and voicemail wasn't set up. Had to walk in and place my order and wait. I shouldn't have to go through a third-party app like DoorDash or ubereats to get a meal. There should always be an option to order through the phone or online. For what they charge for food, is based on the live entertainment aspect. It isn't worth the price they are charging for it. Would consider only sticking to the staple of the restaurant. Hibachi. Everything else is done poorly, but the alcoholic drinks do good drowing the taste of everything else.

Best food and always my favorite bento box. Good for 2 people. Great ambience, casual dress is ok. No wait on mid week days.

This is my favorite restaurant in Bowling Green (which says a lot if you have any idea how many restaurants there are). Any time I'm in town, I have to eat at the hibachi grill. I always get the shrimp and chicken hibachi dinner. Even without ordering appetizers (which I highly recommend ordering -big fan of the dumplings), I always have enough leftovers for 1-2 additional meals! The portions are CRAZY! The photo I'm attaching below is what was left on my plate AFTER I WAS DONE EATING. Really cannot stress enough how much food they give you. The food is also fantastic, better than your typical hibachi restaurant and unique (I.e. the vegetables have more variety). They also allow special requests like "broccoli only" with the vegetables, which is nice. Definitely eat here if you have a chance!

Disappointing takeout experience. We ordered two appetizers and a hibachi meal and got home to find one app missing. Bag was stapled closed which deterred us from checking the contents when we picked it up, but that was our mistake. We had a toddler to feed so we didn't have time to return to the restaurant to remedy the situation. The salad also contained 1/3 lettuce that was rusty.

We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks while studying the really excellent menu. Instead of rolls, a cast iron skillet containing "Fire Bread" was delivered to our table. It was delicious and was quickly devoured while waiting for our dinners. My wife ordered the Montana fried chicken salad and I opted for the chicken pot pie. While the salad was nothing out of the ordinary (except the chicken was quite good) she thoroughly enjoyed it. My chicken pot pie was really good and it contained lots of large chunks of chicken. Many places that serve this dish think all you have to do is put some pastry puff over the chicken and you have chicken pot pie. NOT! At Montana Grill, this dish was prepared like I would make it at home-a complete crust which does a great job sopping up the chicken and vegetables. The portion was huge and had I not been traveling, I would have taken some home. This dish was also served in a cast iron skillet. Service was excellent and appreciated after driving nearly 9 hours. We waited for nothing. Very happy to have been reintroduced to Montana Grill.

100% would recommend this restaurant!!!!…read more we arrived right at 5pm when they open back up for the day. firstly the atmosphere and customer service is top tier. everyone is super attentive and welcoming. we started off with mixed drinks, with a very wide selection, each drink we tried was perfectly mixed and balanced. we definitely would recommend the french martini and vette city. as for appetizers, we tried the fried pickles and jalapeños. the batter was light but crunchy and flavorful and the house made ranch paired perfectly with them. main courses i would 1000% recommend the chicken rosa. such a delicious dish with a creamy mash potatoes side and perfectly seasoned and sautéed fresh vegetable side. the lemon caper sauce paired with the chicken was stunning. chicken was cooked perfectly and still very juicy. the basil pasta dish was al dente with a rich, herby, and creamy sauce. the crème brûlée was the most delicious dessert to end the meal with a perfectly crunchy sugar top not too charred and the crème part was flavored very nicely with a good vanilla taste. 5/5 WOULD RECOMMEND

We'd never been here before, thus, we were new to this scene! Even stepping in seemed an experience, following behind two ladies, donned in Derby Hats, & their two dapper gentlemen, who smiled, held open the door, & graciously waved us in!! Then, at a long table we happily joined, our extended, car fanatic family. Thus, the festivities began, as our evening flowed pleasantly.. What We Found : Service: Friendly & Attentive.. Our iced tea was refilled & our tables kept clean. And our server, steered us in the right direction, in recommending the Surf & Turf dinner, which was Delightful.. Ambiance: Lofty & Modern Aesthetic, with Rustic Elements. (But still too modern, for our liking). Nearby, seemed a nicer table: with a wooden tent like canopy, situated near a great hearth.. Food: Generous portions of entrees & sides. The hearty sides, are served family style. We ordered: Bacon Cornbread; Mac & Cheese; Roasted Brussel Sprouts; Roasted Mushrooms; & Truffle Fries. These Tasted Divine... Especially the bacon cornbread, served with a dollop of brown butter, which disappeared in no time!! Whilst our Surf & Turf Dinner, of: Shrimp & Beef, served on skewers, atop a bed of Fried Rice, Kicked Us Out of Our Comfort Zone. This was quite unlike the country cuisine of Bowling Green, for so long known!! And, the horseradish sauce, served alongside, seemed rich & robust!! Indeed, the menu seemed to convey the chef's creative touch!! However, our friend beside us, bemoaned that his elk steak dinner, was mostly burnt!! To the staff, not saying a word!! Moreover, Beau found his Strawberry Shortcake, a tad too dry. But from Beau's pretty dessert, to the Almond Cake, ordered at the table--all seemed a pastry feast for the eyes!! Overall: We Found This Classy Venue, A Welcome Change From The Familiar..Hearty Southern Fare, Fine Tuned With A Touch Of The Exotic!! So Happy To Say: We Loved It !!
