Very cute place to spend quality time with friends or significant other, also cutest decor with cats. So if you're a cat lover this is a very special place to be. Delicious dessert hot and cold treats and matcha drinks are very good and authentic. Friendly service and very welcoming, Taiyaki very interestingly is more of a mochi dough like texture than regular waffle dough texture, I could be wrong but it crispy crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, just enough pull that I thought was eating mochi or dango. This was a surprise and very good! (Again I could be wrong) Pricing and size both check off as affordable and competitive to other shave ice or bingsu places, can't beat matcha and ube together in one bowl! 10/10 will come again!

Super flavorful, creamy bingsu! Everything we tried was yum! Lots of seating, staff was nice.

came here on a sunday night and it was pretty packed but we were lucky a group left while we were waiting for our food. we got the oreo shaved ice. i like that it had a lot of topping and they even put some oreo in the middle. i wish the shaved ice was softer and fluffier, the texture was not as satisfying as i wanted it to be.

Service was great, and the staff was friendly! Parking is a bit tricky, but we parked on the street nearby and walked over. Lots of cat-themed decor inside, we love it! There are also cute accessories you can purchase, and they have some board games you can play while enjoying dessert there. Ordered the Watermelon Bingsu (L) and it was DELICIOUS! Not overly sweet but just enough, and loved that it came in the watermelon as a bowl. The bingsu was so refreshing on a warm day! You could probably share the large with 2-4 people.

My first time here and trying this type of dessert. I was in the mood for something new and different and very happy I came here. Almost didn't make it, we were stuck at a train for like 20 min's! I didn't give up and made it. The person helping me was friendly and explained what it was that they sell. I thought it was shaved ice.... But it's not, it's shaved milk! What..... I didn't even know that was a thing. They even have some special machine, the milk mixture is liquid and frozen and shaved to order. The texture was great, nice and soft/fluffy. I got the ube, without red beans. The homemade ube ice cream was very good but a different texture. I'm wondering what it is made out of. I liked it. The texture was more pudding like, less like standard ice cream. You can get it to go. It seemed to melt slightly fast, not a bad thing. I got a small, and it was big for me. A very good amount. They have three size options. The flavors were great, there was some coconut too. A great option for a frozen treat, delicious!

Tsuki is a newer spot on Hawthorne serving bingsu and taiyaki. We got two regular size bingsu with the ube and mango flavor. I probably wouldn't re-order the ube - with nuts instead of a syrup or fruit, it was a little dry. My friend loved the mango however. The nutella taiyaki was great. They have some wild flavors (pepperoni pizza?!) and also offer a flight which is really fun. They also have a limited drink menu (including redbulls) and ice cream by itself. The interior is quirky and minimal. I loved the hand-painted cat art. It looks like they get busy and may not be able to wipe everything down thoroughly between customers. There are a few outdoor tables also. Parking in the area can be tricky, I usually head into the neighborhood north of Hawthorne and walk a few blocks.

Took my mom and daughter with me since the place is cat themed and they love cats. The impression was omg cute and clean with friendly service. We ordered a large half strawberry and half mango dessert. Also tried a custard filled desert that looks like a cute fish. The ice cream desert is light and perfectly sweet. If you love very sweet rich stuff then this wont be for you. Would definitely come back again.

I got the mango bingsu and honestly, the shaved ice is impossibly light and fluffy, nothing like the icy crunch you'd expect! The toppings are also very generous and tested very fresh! We also tried their cheese taiyaki, and it was so yummy! Next time, I would definitely try their red bean taiyaki. The space itself is clean, and there are games to play while you eat, which is super fun if you come in with a group of people. Will definitely come back again for the hot summer days!

Tsuki has become my FAVORITE place for mango bingsu!! It's so yummy. You get a lot, you can share. The mango is perfect every time. Super creamy and soft. Staff are very kind. Lots of nice indoor seating. They have games. Good place to hang out.

This place is adorable inside! It has some board games you can play while you wait and there is a little stand of beautiful, handmade kimono-fabric items for sale. The bingsu is delicious. My sister and I shared a regular and it was plenty! The toppings were layered nicely on and within the shaved ice and made for the perfect treat on a warm spring day.

Emily + Keiden were amazingly friendly and patient in walking me through the menu. They created the most gorgeous dessert and my kids' eyes were starstruck with the over the top decorated shaved ice. We also got a selection of fish cakes, sweet and savory, which were perfect snacks. Clean modern atmosphere with a selection of games to play while we hang out and eat! Update: we left our wallet there (dropped on the ground) and a kind hearted max-integrity patron turned it in, and the team here worked so hard to find us! They lept it safe for us until we could come back to retrieve it. Thank you for being such good hearted-people Portland!!

Super cute desserts and drinks store! Love the open space and cat graphics all around the shop. They serve Taiyakis and Bingsu of different flavors. We tried the Ube one. The regular size is great to share between three people. The ice cream on top was honestly some of the best ube flavored ice cream I've ever had! Albeit being a tad too sweet. The shaved ice itself was alright, could have been creamier. The other toppings were a bit out of place too but worth it just for the ice cream. Will definitely be back to try their other flavors!

I was pleasantly surprised! This is so much more than an ice cream place. It's cold with lots of flavor and not overly sweet. Think of ice cream without the heavy flavors and density. I know that's a little difficult to explain. Very friendly. Very clean. Lots of room. I'm going back and in a sea of ice cream shops that all seem the same, I'd highly recommend stopping here.

If I was a billionaire, I'd invest in this shop to open a second location by me in Maine. Small batch and homemade, these ice creams are luscious and delicious. They are not sickly sweet, and they don't need to be. They really let the flavors shine on their own. The thai iced tea is my favorite flavor, though the fresh banana is up there too. This trip already I have visited once IRL and later I ordered a shake from them for delivery to my hotel, which was great! No drop in quality there and they drew a cute little note. The marionberry was sweet, tart, and refreshing. The birthday cake had bits of yellow cake and confetti folded into the ice cream. The Belgian chocolate was deep and decadent. The bowl was filled to the top and our waffle cone was served to the side because the scoops would not have fit. My parents had the hibiscus coconut sorbet and chocolate sorbet. Both are dairy free. My parents were indifferent to both flavors. The hibiscus flavor was too strong whereas the coconut was too subtle. The chocolate sorbet has an intense cocoa flavor and they generally prefer a sweeter version.

First of all, you have to know it's in a sketchy part of town that doesn't feel very safe. I would recommend parking as close to Voodoo as you possible can. It's not easy as the location is in an area that doesn't feature much parking. Thankfully, Voodoo employs a security guard to monitor who goes into the doughnut shop, so I guess it adds a little feeling of safety. On our visit, only one party was allowed in at a time to the lobby area of the shop. Before going in you have to cue up in line outside. We went on a random weekday at around 8:30pm and had to wait about 20 minutes to get in. The interior of voodoo is very unique and interesting. When inside you can see all their doughnut offerings. The doughnuts are quite large and on the heavy/dense side. We ordered the Voodoo Dozen and it was a hefty box. To get a good sample of everything I think the Voodoo Dozen is a good way to go. It samples a number of famous donuts. I surprising found the grape donut to be one of my favorites. I suppose if you like grape flavored things this bought also be a doughnut for you!
