WHEN: Sat @8pm Ever been to a food establishment more for their seating area to be at than their actual food/product? This was the case. The first time I came here, what enticed me was how well decorated the place was. Form the choice of furniture and lighting, to the hanging plants and mural on the wall! So I went and after sampling some of the ice cream, I honestly didn't care for it. Here are the current prices: MICRODOSE (1/2 scoop)- $3 SMALL (1 scoop) - $5.75 MEDIUM (2 scoops) - $7.50 I think it's wonderful they have both dairy and non-dairy ice cream, but there's no fruit flavors (except sweet cherry amaretto which didn't sound great). Some flavors were just too sweet for my liking. I actually got out of line, but since I really wanted to be here, I decided on a SHAKE: CLASSIC COLD BREW - $12 Feels like I ordered a cocktail because I thought it was so pricey and I only got it to sit and hang out, haha. But it was actually good. It was garnished with a waffle piece dipped in chocolate. So I was able to sample thier gluten-free waffle cone. I like that it was topped with actual chocolate sauce (since it was hardened). It's a small serving which I'm not used to for a milkshake but it's actually more sensible. The next day I received an email for a $5 coupon to come back, and I totally got suckered into it, haha! WHEN: Mon @4pm The place was empty and I felt like I had the entire shop to myself! With my $5 coupon, I decided on: SMALL SCOOP - $5.75 I love coconut but the Infinite Coconut flavor had coconut shavings which I'm never a fan of. So when I tried the plant based flavor MADGASCAN VANILLA BEAN, it had the right amount of coconut flavor I liked, since it is plant based. I did also sample the Grass Fed Dairy flavor Vanilla Bean Nirvana, and it's your standard vanilla ice cream flavor. I can see why the small scoop may appear pricey for $5.75, but it's a massive scoop! HANDMADE WAFFLE CONE - $2 I hear that it's gluten free, made from chick peas. I'm not a fan of it since to me, it tasted a bit burnt, and stale. Maybe it would have been different if I was given a freshly made one that would make it warm. It was a slow afternoon so I'm sure my cone has been sitting out for hours...perhaps? It's okay, I'm glad I gave it a shot. Overall my ice cream cone was fine, and hte $5 coupon totally helps justify it. But the best part is I got to hang out for 3 hours! It got pretty chilly because of the AC, and they had a great playlist going on in the background (okay it was Y2K music so I enjoyed it, haha). There's no WiFi and maybe one outlet in the lounge area, so I get it, it's not meant for people to hang out this long. During both visits the staff was very friendly. They have restrooms that require codes to get in, which was 0207.
WOW. Gluten free cookie dough ice cream? AND a GF handmade waffle cone?? Did I die and go to heaven? The ice cream is so rich and creamy and the cone is so flavorful and had great texture. I'd move to Portland just for this place if I could.
Not very busy when I went. I liked that they're open late. The person who helped me was patient and let me try all the flavors I needed before I decided to get a simple root beer float. I'm really picky with ice cream and wanted a vanilla base so I went with an Oli Pop root beer float with vanilla ice cream and don't regret my decision. It was so good!
Delicious ice cream that is incredibly sweet! My husband and I shared one shake (Chocolate Yes Please) and we couldn't finish it because it was too sweet, despite being made with dark chocolate ice cream. We love that this place offers plant based ice cream options! We don't have many of these where we live. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Portland!
Yummy gluten free ice cream place. Great, solid vegan options. I like the clean taste of this ice cream. Their prices are higher compared to other ice cream shops but it's to be expected with the quality of ingredients, you can really taste the difference.
As someone who cannot eat dairy, I have to tell you how much I love this place! It's OFF THE HOOK GOOD! My kiddos love it here, hubby says he can't even tell that it's DF and that is HUGE because he's usually salty and snotty about DF stuff. I am in absolute love with the mint chip here. Super cute and clean vibe, insta-worthy backdrops, friendly servers - hits all the spots!
Good ice cream tho pricey. I like their milkshakes - know that if you get a plant based ice cream their shakes use coconut water - which is fine but you can ask for dairy if you want. Only complaint is the environmentally friendly straws they use don't work well
I stopped by Cosmic Bliss in the Pearl District in Portland after passing by it a few times. Overall, I'd give my experience 8.8/10. Note the plant based ice cream uses coconut as base so all of them have a tint of coconut! - Infinite Coconut: 8.8/10: Coconut on coconut. Not too sweet but refreshing - Strawberry Shortbread: 8.8/10: Good balance of flavour, a hint of coconut flavour that adds more flavour
Open late with plenty of seating I really like that they offer half scoops too for only $3... They had a wide variety of flavors and a bunch of nondairy options
I love their seasonal options at this place as other ice cream places also do that but this one had pecan pie, which was a little sweet for me so I decided to go for the peanut butter chocolate caramel... I think that's what it was. It wasn't the dark chocolate and peanut butter definitely not but I could eat that as well as they have so many flavors. It's hard to choose, but the white chocolate mint was also an option on the table. Great service helpful for what your taste buds are lingering for And I highly recommend checking out the small spot across from the Hana sushi place.
My favorite place for ice cream on earth, it's just ridiculously good, the service it's amazing, the shop it's so fun to come too it has a great ambiance, they also have board games to play. I love the ingredients they use, the staff it's always extra nice and have an awesome reward program too
-street parking -has both dairy & nondairy - the cookie sandwich was plant based & it's a great alternative for dairy but i did not like the taste lol - milkshake with dairy ice cream?... bomb haha -service super helpful and friendly and a nice place to hang out with groups
This place is adorable. It is pricey, but worth it. The employees were cheerful and helpful. I recommend checking it out.
Giving Cosmic Bliss 3.5 stares Stopped in here for a sweet treat on a chilly, sunny Sunday. Nice big space with ample seating and games to play. Two restrooms for customers. Employees were helpful, not necessarily friendly. You e got a good array of vegan options. I believe all Made with coconut milk, so if you're not a fan of coconut, this might not be your vegan ice cream spot. I tried the sea salt caramel with chocolate chips, which was vegan. It was good, but the coconut stood out quite a bit (I do like coconut). I ended up with one of the 4 grass-fed dairy options, all the good things, which had caramel ice cream, chocolate swirl and fudge and peanut butter chips. It was good. I had it in a waffle cone for $2 more, bringing my half scoop and cone to $5, I believe. The waffle cone was yummy. I wouldn't say the ice cream was anything more special than you can get in your freezer, but nice to have an option out if you're plant-based. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the ice cream. read more
It's very cold right now at 40 degrees. We are walking around the Pearl District and stumbled upon Cosmic Bliss. Mind you, this is an ice cream shop! I couldn't resist venturing inside. We ended up talking to a very nice and informative employee, who informed me of the different kinds of ice cream (plant base or grass fed dairy). I selected with the employee's suggestion, All the Good Things and Twisted Cookie Dough. All the Good Things was the special of the week. We paid $5.75 for two big scoops! What a deal. The ice cream was flavorful, creamy and not too sweet. Would I recommend coming by here? Absolutely YELP Yes! Great service here 5/5 stars Food: Premium Ice cream 5/5 stars Value: awesomeness Ambiance: a little noisy due to the little kiddos playing. 3.5/5 stars read more

Great gluten and dairy free vegan ice cream. So creamy coconut based and organic. They also have dairy but everything is gluten-free! It was only $7.50 for a double scoop. Staff is super friendly. Comfy seating. Big windows. A great hangout. read more

Walked in last night to an empty place and the workers were really friendly. There is a lot of choices for dairy and non dairy flavors. There is also other goodies like a gluten free ice cream sandwich, chocolate taco, shakes etc. I got a small vanilla for my kiddo and my sister and I split the vanilla cookie sandwich. It was very good. My kiddo ate every last morsel of her ice cream. After she was done she was able to play around and dance to the nice music they had playing. It felt very low stress in there. I would 100 percent return for ice cream and other desserts by myself or with friends/family. PS the restaurant smells like heaven read more

Cosmic Bliss's flagship store is a hit! I would return to this place again if in the area. When it comes to ice cream parlors, I'm a fan of simple flavor options, a tidy interior, clean equipment, and helpful employees. Bliss was a trendy shop but still managed to meet all of these criteria. In a city of pretentious fusion shops and overly/improperly seasoned food, it was nice to go somewhere sweet that had relatively basic vegan and non-vegan options. I visited on Jan 31st and snagged some icecream for my girlfriend and I. For her, I ordered one scoop of the Twisted Cookie Dough (grass-fed dairy) and, for myself, one scoop of the Madagascan Vanilla Bean (plant-based; coconut base). I can't remember the total price but I remember it being less than or around $12 for both which when considering location (downtown NW) and style of shop (trendy) isn't terrible. My girlfriend liked her's and I liked mine; although, she said she happened to like my vegan one more than her dairy one. She said the vegan ice cream itself felt more refreshing. We both enjoyed the subtle coconut hint of my scoop and, honestly, we both would probably go all vegan next time. The waffle cone was lightly sweet and had a great thin texture that held up well. The employee that helped me when picking up the ice cream was kind and wore a mask (always nice to see with seasonal respiratory diseases and COVID-19 going around). I informed them that I was a first-timer and they took the time to go through the menu options along with offering samples if I wanted to get a feel for their flavors. Overall, great service, good ice cream. Can't really complain. read more

Very cute ice cream shop. Decor is very bright and colorful. I was so excited at how many vegan ice cream flavors there were!! The sweet cherry amaretto and the coconut flavors were both very good! Not overly sweet. Made with coconut milk. The waffle cones were not overly crumbly - Very easy to eat! We were greeted and helped as soon as we walked in. Very fast service! read more

Best ice cream ever. The gluten free cone is better than any normal cone I've ever had. We had the plant based ice cream. We were in Portland for a week and had their ice cream three times in a row. Only downside was that we found out about them at the end of our trip. Still thinking about this spot to this day. Workers were also very friendly! read more

This place is pretty nice. The interior is very spacious and open, with great decor. The options here are also excellent as they have both place and organic based treats. They also have some good-looking shakes, which I need to try next time. I did enjoy the peanut butter bliss with the twisted cookie dough flavors. read more
