We took the bus here and it was close to a bus stop, and I think there's also street parking available as well. I definitely went out of my way to try this restaurant because I'd heard they had a great vegan menu, and it was absolutely worth it. Since it was my first time, I asked the staff for a recommendation. They suggested the bibimbap and mentioned it was on the spicy side, which I was totally okay with. While their cocktails looked really tempting, I ended up getting a Mexican Coke, and I loved that they had it. The bibimbap was absolutely delicious. It had so many different flavors and textures, and somehow they all worked perfectly together. Wish I could give this place 100 stars! Norah is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in all of Portland, and I'm not even vegan (just vegetarian). Every dish I've had from here has been incredible, just so flavorful and well balanced. Favorites are the Pad Thai nachos and Bibimbap. Also, they are really good and accommodating with food allergies. My husband has a peanut allergy and he has been able to eat here with no trouble at all. We avoid Thai/asian restaurants for this reason, but he was able to eat Pad See Ew for the first time ever here and he was so happy. I've been here so many times because they offer amazing vegan options! I love their pad thai and their bibimbap. It's cool that they still provide a variety of protein sources like soy curls, and other toppings to ensure you get protein. The flavors are not bland and they offer good variety. It's easy to order when you just order via your phone and you can order more along the way. They also have nice cocktail options and mocktails. The service is great! People are always so friendly. My group of 3 arrived during lunch hour on a Saturday and we were able to pick our table since it wasn't too crowded (surprisingly!). The inside was pretty cozy. Starting off with the Pad Thai nachos and Masala waffle fries, I couldn't get enough of the flavor explosion. The fries were perfectly crispy and completely coated with various spices. I'll preface by saying I came in with very high expectations given all the positive reviews. As a non vegan I figured it was still worth trying to see what the hype was about. Unfortunately the meal overall was just average for us. Got the croquettes, pad see ew, fries, samosas, and pad thai nachos. They were *running low* on the cauliflower curry which I was very interested in and thus we couldn't order via the app...bummer. Food was all just okay. Some good flavors, pad see ew felt off, but overall nothing that blew us away. The service is what I expected to be fast, per all the reviews, but even that wasn't great. We were seated and then had to wait a least 20 min to get even our drink which came out after our initial food. We were so shocked that we just stormed out. We dine a lot in Portland but have never had such a poor customer experience. I've been meaning to try this place, and I'm really glad I did. I'm not vegan, although I don't eat red meat. My dining companions are fully omnivorous. Nobody came away from dinner feeling deprived, however, and we all really enjoyed. We had the bibimbap, the pad Thai, pad Thai nachos, and the see ew. We also had longan rice pudding for dessert and hibiscus lime drinks. Everything was delicious, and portions sizes were plenty big enough for a couple of extra leftover meals. There are quite a few vegan places in Portland, and Norah is certainly a staple. The pad see ew is a comfort food for me, and it was so yummy. I often don't order sticky rice because places don't make it vegan, but I knew this would be-- dessert was by far, the highlight. I would come back for solely the mango sticky rice, to be honest. I came here over the summer and realized I never wrote a review for this great vegan Asian spot! After passing by it dozens of times and seeing how packed it was, I really wanted to try it. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and can be a bit tight for big groups, so keep that in mind. Reservations are highly recommended. When you come in, you're seated at a table and you order the menu (and pay) through your phone. I got their Thai iced tea but a couple of my friends got some alcoholic/virgin drinks and everything was delicious. We ordered a couple appetizers to share such as the curry waffle fries and the samosas, and both were delicious. I would definitely order them both again. For entrees, we got the pad see ew, cabbage, and cauliflower curry to share. Everything was super flavorful and so delicious. As a group of people who weren't even vegan, we were very impressed. I recently tried a few items here, and while I appreciated the effort put into each dish, some of the flavors didn't quite align with my taste. The nachos were a bit too salty, and the wontons had an aftertaste that wasn't to my preference. The fried rice also wasn't my favorite flavor-wise. The pad Thai had a ketchup taste. On the positive side, the virgin colada was tasty, although it had a lot of ice and foam, so it was finished in just a few sips. An aspect of the experience that I wasn't fond of was the ordering and payment process. Scanning a menu to order and paying through it at the end made me question the service component, especially since a tip was still part of the checkout. Additionally, a water bottle was brought to the table for self-service refills, which felt a bit hands-off. Overall, while the concept may appeal to some, it wasn't quite what I was hoping for in a dining out experience. Two stars were for the friendly waitress who was also the host and bartender. They have lovely outdoor seating when the weather is nice and they open up the garage doors so there's a breeze inside. Because the place is small, it's good for guests to be mindful of their time, especially during peak hours. It's a bit confusing whether you need to check in and order upfront or be seated. I would suggest the restaurant post signs. But, as long as spaces are available, you can choose a seat and order from a QR code on the table. Food comes out quick and hot.
