Absolutely loved this Mexican spot. How many vegan Mexican place exists afterall? The enchiladas were great. I also enjoyed the horchata which was really fresh. The Tres Leche were probably just too sweet. The ambience is cozy but it's not a big place. I can imagine it getting busier during peak hours. Also you need to place order on the table via QR code. Don't waste time like me hoping someone will come to take your order.

Pretty solid all-vegan Mexican brunch. We arrived on a Sunday just after their 10am opening, and it was already starting to get packed. You order at the counter, and they bring out your food. (Despite counter ordering, 18% tip is still the minimum stanard option they prompt you for.) We all ordered the Soyrizo & Huevo Desayuno ($18), a brunch plate with soyrizo tofu and potato scramble, refried beans, Mexican rice, a grilled jalapeno, some grilled onion, and a couple of corn tortillas. Very tasty scramble, though the refried beans were a bit oversalted. Huge portion -- very carb-heavy, would've preferred some veggies in here, but that's Mexican cuisine for you. Doesn't really hold a candle to authentic Mexican cuisine you get down in Mexico, but pretty solid for Portland / northern US. The coffees we ordered weren't great quality -- pretty weak and watery. All in all, reasonable value, huge portions, tasty mains. Worth checking out.

Vibe: slightly busy, and can be hectic but the staff doesnt rush you. Feels like a "no-judgement" zone, which makes me happy. Food: so much vegan yumminess. Can be a bit spicy so ask if you want a mild option. My current favorites are: Al pastor or asada as fillings in tacos, burritos, or la chimi. The soyrizo was so spicy it covered the other flavors for me, but some like it hot! Would I go back? Definitely!

The La Chimi is a MUST!! Mis Tacones somehow makes traditional Mexican food vegan without lacking any of the flavor! My Carne Asada Taco was just okay, but the Nachos Asada with fries were amazing!! Everything was beyond flavorful and the portions were enormous. My boyfriend and I split the La Chimi, Taco, and Nachos Asada with Fries. Even though we were so full, we did not feel bloated or have a heavy feeling in our stomachs due to the quality ingredients Mis Tacones provides its patrons. The restaurant gets busy and seating was limited inside, so just plan ahead if you are visiting Portland and not quite as acclimated to the weather. Still thinking about this place weeks after our visit!

Friend introduced me to this spot and I found it to be absolutely delicious! I'm not vegan, and loved everything. The salsas and cashew cheese dip were fantastic. Went for the alcoholic horchata, but they did have a full coffee bar I believe. They lost electricity in one part of the kitchen which may have affected the Service. One person kept saying something to the effect of, "I will have to trust you" when we told her some side items were missing from the order. It felt off-putting. We were willing to show her our orders on the phone, but she opted not to confirm. Place was decorated up for Halloween which they did a great job on. I would take friends here!

    This was their pink empanadas!

We went for their Valentines dinner and honestly it was one of the most romantic and beautiful evenings we've ever had. It was decorated to the nines and the decor was made in house. We were greeted and it was so warm and comfortable. No on to the food, it was amazing and delicious each course they brought out was delicious my favorite was the empanadas and my husbands favorite was the onion salad. We were able to take home the flowers which was a very sweet gift from the owners who are truly an amazing team and people. We appreciated their sliding scale pricing to include everyone no matter income. We felt apart of the fun and it was such a blessing.

Delicious vegan mex food! HUGE burrito portions. Outdoor benches and indoor seating. Dog friendly outside area. Parking on the street.

Extremely flavorful vegan Mexican food. Their soyrizo empanada is 100% one of my favorite things ever! I love that they're one of the few vegan restaurants in PDX open pretty late (10). Their menu is tacos, tortas, chimichangas, burritos, nachos, fries, etc! Tried the virgin margarita and that was different and unique. Tasted very similar to a regular margarita but zero proof. The service was great and attentive as well. Love their brunch very much!

Amazing food, all of it! All my non-vegan friends love it. Cali Burrito 4life! The empanadas are so good. Breakfast brunch menu so yummy and Carlos and Polo and the staff are so friendly and kind! A must visit in Portland. Such an artsy and inclusive environment.

Had to come back and try more options! The breakfast burrito is fabulous and oh so filling. Thankfully to go boxes are easy to grab ;) Seasonal spiced sweet potato latte is incredible, spicy and sweet and ever so smooth.

Half fries, half chips El Pastor nachos. Spicy and delicious!

I have been wanting to try Mis Tacones forever - boy was it worth the wait!!!!! Their chimichanga is ginormous (it fed 3 of us) and was so delicious I can't stop thinking about it! The nachos were also HUGE and very very delicious! Everyone was so nice and helpful and the place is so cute and welcoming. I brought 2 non-vegans with me and they were very very impressed! Such a fun and vibrant atmosphere too!! I can't wait for another trip to PDX!!!

I ordered both forms of the tacos they offered! They were both delicious. Larger than most tacos and very fair pricing especially with how good the food is! The staff was very nice as well. This is an easy 5/5 star spot and anyone vegan or not would enjoy the food I'm sure. Highly suggest for anyone to come try it out!

As a vegan who loved Mexican food prior to becoming vegan, I have long lamented the dearth of good vegan Mexican food -- indeed, prior to discovering Mis Tacones, the best vegan tacos I've eaten were beans, guac and a vegan cabbage slaw. And they were pretty good, but clearly lacking the flavor fully marinated meat flavors that tacos are famous for. BUT -! Tonight my dreams came true when I ordered -- and promptly devoured -- the vegan carne asada taco. Never have my taste buds danced with such ecstatic bliss as when savoring this bliss of spicy sabrosa-ness! Next I sampled the 3 Hermanos Empanada-- the interior was and cashew crema was delicious...and here is my only critique: the masa-based "pastry" (that enfolds the interior) was too heavy and dense. Now, truth be told my standards are epically high for empanadas, as I come from THE OTHER PORTLAND (Maine) and, as odd as this sounds for such a white-bread state, the best empanadas I've ever eaten (and there is a long list of empanada places I have eaten in NYC and SF) is in Portland Maine (it's called Quiero, and for good reason). So if I could conjure the greatest empanada ever made, it would involve the pastry shell from Quiero in Portland Maine with the interior 3 Hermanos filling from Mis Tacones in PDX. Mic drop, I'm out! Ps. Incredibly colorful, arty and fun interior. Pps. Cute queer staff who steered me right and are definitely flirt-worthy.

You would see that it's going to a motel, you would think to add the silverware. Fortunately, I was able to get silverware from my motel's breakfast room. The lumpia were very good. They were not greasy at all. They are smaller than standard eggrolls, but because they use more meat and less veggies than your standard eggroll, they pack a lot more flavor. Everything inside was seasoned well, and I really enjoyed them. They came with a vinegar based dipping sauce that I liked The "garlic Ponzu" salmon poke? No, not nearly as good. For the price they were charging, it was not a very big portion. Besides that, it just wasn't that good. A good salmon is normally pink to orange. This salmon was barely pink. I couldn't taste the garlic or the Ponzu at all. The veggies were crisp, the rice was a good quality, but there was just no seasoning. The salmon was very bland. I didn't know if it was just because of the seasoning, maybe they used a low quality or a previously, frozen salmon. I love good salmon. This was not good salmon. For the price I paid, not counting the DoorDash fees because those are added in anyway, I just felt I didn't get my moneys worth. Next time I'm in the area, I will find another place. Thanks anyway.

We were warmly greeted, seated in a booth, and promptly served a basket of crispy tortilla chips and homemade salsa. The family-friendly atmosphere had a cozy neighborhood destination vibe. We shared a carne asada platter with a chile relleno and taco al pastor. The carne asada was amazing! Generous portion of grilled meat that was perfectly seasoned. All the sides you would want...guac, pico de gallo, sour cream, grilled scallion and jalapeño, rice, beans cheese plus your choice of tortillas to wrap it all up in. The chile relleno had lots of melty cheese and was thinly battered, just my style. So much yummy food, plenty for two. We had grapefruit Jaritos and n/a Corona but the margaritas look to be very popular, we even saw several huge ones with two straws being shared. Cannot comment on dessert, not enough room. Chips and salsa were both weak. Most restaurants at least heat/refry the chips. The Chile Relleno is the eggy batter kind, with low-end chile like you'd find in a can. If this is the only familiar style of chili relleno then do yourself a favor and try the version at Salsas Locas in Southeast. Now that's something to brag about. The lunch special taco is only available in hard shell with a limited choice of ground beef (yuck), chicken or bean and cheese. The whole thing is topped with shredded iceberg lettuce (double yuck) then drowned in old school ranchero sauce with gobs of cheese. Very 1980s like. That said, the soft taco with carnitas was very good! So it seems like they have a mishmash of gringo Mexican and some authentic dishes. The interior is very inviting while the service was friendly and fast. Only saw Mexican staff and Mexican customers, a good thing. One and done for me, but many will enjoy this type of venue.
