This is truly one of those hidden Mexican food gems you'll probably ever find in Portland. What I mean is that the food will not only be authentic from that region (CDMX) but it will be made by real madres! (Jefas, doñas, tias etc) I met the owner today and she is truly the embodiment of a real Mexican tia (aunt) and reminds me so much of my childhood in the way she speaks with her food. Her nopales are literally the BEST I've ever had. That labor of love shows in the taste and quality. I personally loved all the salsas but the habanero (spicy) and the medium spicy one were my absolute favorites!!! Both not too spicy in my opinion, just enough fire to give great flavor to my food. We were here on a Wednesday early afternoon and parking was easy. Finding the spot isn't too hard either, it's on 28th and Thurman. You'll see a open gate on the side on 28th and you'll find her food cart there along with seating in the back with a covered patio or if you want to enjoy some sunshine like we did, there's also seating outside the patio :) quesadilla was my absolute favorite but the carne asada burrito was also delicious! Will definitely be getting tacos de canasta next time.

The best quesadilla I've had (including a decade of eating Mexican food in LA). Sooo juicy and flavorful. Really chill atmosphere, authentic delicious food from the son and mother duo. Friendly and delicious. Great place to stop for fuel before or after trail walking at Leif Erikson.

Food is fine. People are nice. But like so many places lately,so expensive..$6.50 for one tamale.... Quesadilla was inly $10.50... But more like a corn cake. Woild give it another go.... But it is on the expensive side.

-Tlacoyos. Corn masa stuffed with cheese or beans, dipped in salsa verde, topped with cactus leaf salad, quest fresco, and crema.

Limited menu of good Mexican cuisine. The only menu item I have left to try are the tacos! Plenty of outdoor seating also.

Great food. Unique menu, not a typical taco truck. Fast friendly service. It's hidden behind the old Crackerjacks building, off of 28th.

Ah man! I was so excited to try this food truck after reading the reviews. We arrived just after…read morethey opened and the gentleman at the window was very friendly and helpful. I tipped generously assuming the food was going to be excellent. We ordered 2 Langua tacos, asada burrito, carnitas burrito and a carnitas quesadilla. We were told that it would be about 15 minutes. The space is right on 26, so fairly noisy. There were a few tables an available. The food was ready on time and we went home. I cut the carnitas burrito in half for my daughter and found 2 large bones. My other daughter, who ordered the carnitas quesadilla, found a bone as well. The carnitas itself had good flavor but an abundance of grease was an issue. The asada was pretty good and balanced with the beans and rice. The Langua had some spice to it and was flavorful and tender. The tomatillo and spicy sauce were great. The burritos were mislabeled on there boxes (asada was carnitas and vise versa). Pretty disappointed and hope this occurrence is not the norm.

Parking was a little tricky but o opted to park off street and walk. Looked like it was a popular spot. I ordered some tacos and waited maybe 10 minutes. The place itself is clean. There is a large menu on the wall and the ordering process was simple. Unfortunately, they did not have margaritas. The tacos were plated beautifully. Everything was fresh, I wish they were a little more flavorful. The sauces helped. My tripa tacos could have been less chewy. I also ordered lengua and it was by far the best. Their could have been a little more meat on all of them. They did have an option to do that for an additional fee. Tacos were priced at $2 each.

I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. Also, fyi, on apple map, it lists the new Beaverton loc as only open 7:30-10 pm, this is not true. I confirmed it with the employees at the food truck. We are so happy we tried this place. We almost didn't, because we have been let down so many times trying to get good Mexican food. Maybe that is the way to try out something new, with very low expectations. In this case, it really worked. We got chicken burritos. I confirm also that it is chicken breast, and it is grilled. Wow, it's crazy good chicken, so much flavor. This is as good or better than El Jefe. The burrito was large and I finished it all. I think they forgot to add in some of the things to have everything included but even with that it was still the best burrito we have had in PDX. I think it was missing cilantro, pickled onions, sour cream and maybe cheese and still it has so much flavor. Can you imagine how good it could be. We will be back. They use whole peruvian beans, that's a nice touch. Good salsa too. No Jamaica. It would be great to list the Beaverton loc on the website and list phone numbers.
