Fried rice with pork (Chinese menu)
    Candace M.

Still delicious as ever! And now with more breakfast/brunch options. I just wanted to update this review because I had a really wonderful fried rice dish, sometimes the portions can be big or better for sharing, but this was an incredible value as I was just enjoying lunch on my own - and I had so much food and was able to eat some the next day for lunch. Just wanted to update that I loved this fried rice with just egg and I got it with the "pork."

i'm dissapointed :(. I've been wanting to try this place for a few months as i live nearby and it always smells so good when i walk past. We were hopeful and excited and decided to get a rice and curry plate for two so we could try a bunch of different specialties. We chose the garlic curry, their special deviled potato, and the daal. then we asked the person up front for recommendations to help fill our plate which was nice. The issue was, we waited 40 minutes with no food. I eventually had to go up to the counter because i knew something was up. every person got food besides us, even every single person who ordered after us. I talked to a kind lady at the front and let her know. I want to be very clear this 2 star review has nothing to do with her. she was so sweet and i heard her talk to the kitchen right away. I dont know what happened or why our order got lost. but workers continued to come into the dining area and clean tables. I wonder why no one thought to check on why we were sitting for so long with absolutely nothing. i've worked in the industry for years and you should always be checking what's going on with everyone. we got our food a few minutes later. It was sad that we spent so much time waiting when in reality the food didn't take long at all. the kind lady who helped us finally get our food did offer us a drink for the inconvience and we happily tried the lime soda. I do think the experience hindered how everything tasted, because i was super dissapointed in the food. It was $30 for our plate, which was mostly potato's, garlic, and other vegetables. I thought flavor was lacking and I reallly didn't like the texture of their imitation meat. I sadly wouldn't return due to all of the above. I hope they can be more attentive in the future because no one should sit for so long and not be checked in on.

Rice & Curry Plate with Meatball Curry, Black Pork Curry, Kukul Mas Mirisata, Oyster Mushroom Curry, Polos, and Green Bean Mallum

I was in town for work and decided to DoorDash Mirisata for dinner after seeing it in several IG Reels. I'm so glad it lived up to the hype. This was probably my favorite meal of the trip. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I ordered the Rice & Curry Plate with Meatball Curry, Black Pork Curry, Kukul Mas Mirisata, Oyster Mushroom Curry, Polos, and Green Bean Mallum. I loved everything, especially the meatball curry. I will definitely make sure I eat here every time I have to fly into Portland for work. I was too tired after traveling and long days this time, but I'll definitely go in person next time.

I'm still a Mirisata fan. I think they're doing something unique in Portland - both in the style of food they offer, as well as the structure of the business. Order at the counter (you may need to ring the bell for service). It was recently remodeled so they've got beautiful tile, a big menu board, and a water tap straight in the wall. They will bring food to you. Sit inside (music is a little loud for my tastes) or on their covered, heated patio. Drinks have been good; I haven't tried their desserts. Skip their "short eats" (unless you really want crispy fried food) and go for the curries / deviled dishes. Definitely get a bread too. Food trends spicy.

I literally have no words for this place -- the best food ever. And I feel so lucky to have tried it while visiting Portland! I had never had Sri Lankan food but my partner who had visited said it was the best. So when we found this little place we put in on our list for dinner and WOW! The staff was welcoming and the location was cute, with outdoor and indoor seating. I had the garlic curry and vegetable roti and can't recommend both enough. The menu said the roti is a street food staple and yes, if I could have access to this any day of the week, I would. The size is generous! The curry was perfectly spiced -- it was just an explosion of taste! Our only regret was we had already had a big lunch so could only do a small bite to go. So if you're thinking on stopping by, it's a must and we can't wait to be back!

First time here and definitely not my last! So delicious and colorful. Can't wait to try the entire menu - seriously, the entire block smelled soooo good

This place has declined dramatically, and it's genuinely sad to see. They've eliminated most of the high-quality dishes they were known for (including the dolphin katu), and the service has gone downhill just as fast. The outdoor seating is consistently filthy tables, benches, and chairs are NEVER cleaned so you're expected to eat in the cold at a dirty table you have to wipe down yourself. To make matters worse, I found a black hair in my food. I used to enjoy coming here (as my previous reviews show), but between the lack of hygiene, disappearing quality, and careless service, I won't be returning. A little basic cleanliness and care would go a long way in the food industry. At this rate, I'd be surprised if they're still in business in a few years. ****In response to the owners reply my review is not about being there on January 30, 2026. The last time I ate there was this summer in 2025. You also confirmed you've changed your menu to cheaper lower quality items to maximize your profits. Cutting the quality of your food just shows where your ethics and values lie which is exactly the reason why I will not be supporting your business.

This was one of the most flavor packed plate I've ever had. We were a bit skeptical when it comes to restaurants that serve imitation meat but every single dish we tried on our rice plate was so savory and flavorful. Would definitely recommend trying out this small business.

**A hidden gem in Portland** We stopped by this cute little spot on our way to Eugene, and we're so glad we did. The weather was perfect, so we chose to sit outside -- the ambiance was relaxed and inviting, making the whole experience even better. The staff was lovely! Our server was super friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu, even recommending a few dishes we might have otherwise missed. We started with the *Pariparu Vade* -- it reminded me of a similar dish from back home in India. Crispy, flavorful, and comforting in the best way. The *Rice and Curry Plate* was the real standout. Each curry had its own flavor profile but somehow worked perfectly together. It was more than enough for the two of us to share. We also tried the *Deviled Chicken with Fried Rice*. It was good, just not as exciting as the other dishes -- we might skip it next time, especially since the rice and curry was more than satisfying on its own. All in all, great food, warm service, and a lovely outdoor setup. Definitely a place we'd come back to!

Good food, quick and humble service, and not very clean but ample sitting adjacent to the order area, both indoor and outdoor. The green chili chutney served with jackfruit starter is a flavor bomb and I could recommend them just for that. The roti's offered are pretty unique to their culture. The entree platter is ok and served over rice. I find the food over priced but delicious. Also, because it's all served over rice, so, in 5 mins the curries become too dry to eat with roti. I wish they put a little more thought in how the food is served. But I guess it might be a cultural thing and it's their way of showing their culture. For a full experience I would rather eat there, but I guess a beach vibe would add a perfect blend to that experience.

Rice and curry plate for 1-2 people. Added the meatball (highly recommend!!)

This place is SO GOOD. Never had Sri Lankan food before, so wasn't 100% sure what to expect. It seems like a combo of Indian and Thai/southeast Asian, which makes total sense! The warm curry flavors of Indian mixed with the bright citrusy flavors of Thai, etc. complement each other so well! The rice and curry plate for 1-2 was perfect for two hungry people (would be a lot for one). We LOVED the Impossible meatball -- wish I knew how they made these because I could eat a hundred. The potatoes were also delicious. The lentils, slaw, heck, EVERYTHING on the plate was yummy. The only miss (our fault) was not getting roti to scoop up the remnants. Do that! I enjoyed my lime soda (very refreshing and more tart than sweet), and the iced coffee was decent. This was a considerably affordable meal for two people. Stop by soon and enjoy their beautiful patio! You won't regret it.

Delicious cocktails, flavorful food, and good filling portions for the price. What more can you ask for? There's outdoor seating with a few heaters and a small indoor seating area. Ordering is at an outdoor counter which was a bit chilly but otherwise nice setup, with friendly staff and quick service. Loved how many gluten free options there are and such a great variety of vegan dishes- will bring many more vegan and GF friends here.

I keep coming back for the bold vibrant flavors and banging rotating curries. The menu can be a little intimidating but the staff in this worker owned collective is always happy to answer questions and (figuratively) hold my hand through ordering. You order at the window, then take a number and sit. Food gets brought out. 10 indoor tables seating two or four, and lots of outdoor seating that is perfect when the weather is nice. Cocktails and n/a drinks are also very good. I've brought many an omnivore here for a rice and curry plate and none missed the lack of meat - there's so much variety of flavor and textures.

I was looking for food nearby and came across this restaurant. The food was surprisingly delicious! We ordered the chicken katsu curry, kama-age udon (hokkai miso soup), and the kama-meshi seafood. The chicken katsu was cooked perfectly: crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside! The sauce also was the perfect texture and taste. My favorite was the kama-age udon with the hokkai miso soup. I love udon but sometimes don't like how thick it is because it fills you up faster and is harder to digest, the udon here is thinner which I fell in love with! It's soft and chewy and the perfect thickness: you dip it on the soup when you eat it. I also loved the soup, I usually have leftover soup when eat noodles, but I finished every last sip! Definitely recommend this dish if you were to only order one item! We also ordered the kama-meshi seafood. I thought this one tasted okay! The flavors of the seafood come through, but I personally like stronger and heavier flavors. It was worth a try! Parking: This restaurant is in downtown portland so it was difficult to find parking.
