Loved the strawberry cream and garlic butter breads. Sausage was more of a Korean hot dog vibe, not my favorite. Drinks are all iced, no espresso machine. The strawberry matcha was good but would be better if the strawberry was pureed. Long line but moves pretty quickly. I hope they will open earlier than 10 in the future!

I was in the area and decided to check this place out. The line wasn't long when I got there about 15 minutes before they opened, but by opening time, the line had grown. I ordered a good variety of salt bread to share and try. My favorite would be the garlic butter and pure milk cream one. They are made pretty well and worth trying out.

Ok, yes, come stand in line and get the bread. It's worth it. So now that your main questions are answered, here's some other details (ha!): -I showed up at 9am on a Thursday for their 10am opening. The line started getting heavy at about 9:30am. So it's up to you if you want to chance it or not, but we got first dibs. -The space is clean and inviting. Seating is limited, and only indoor. It's easy to take these to go! -My recommendations in order from best to least favorite: Plain, strawberry, garlic butter, then sausage. The bread is so light and buttery, it was honestly so delicious on its own. -The maple drip coffee and strawberry match were excellent!

We came here around 11 on a Thursday morning and just a small line. Super friendly staff, the salt bread was all 10/10 and I got the strawberry matcha which was super fresh.

Got to come to ponto at 11am on a Thursday! Everything was pretty much sold out except for a few pieces of two flavors that were left. The bread had a light crunch at the bottom of the bread and was soft and buttery. There was a mixture of slight sweet flavoring in the bread. We got to try the everything bagel flavored salt bread and glazed salt bread. Both were good, but would love to try other flavors next time! There is a restroom inside.

Very good bread! Wait times and lines are still significant. Lines started at 9am Bread is very good, and worth it if you can bear the wait!

This place is new and was overwhelmed by the buzz when it initially opened, so they had to close and regroup. But they've reopened and there's still a lot of buzz. Still, after waiting in line for 50 minutes one weekday morning, I would say it's worth the wait. Ponto sells Korean salt bread, which is super popular in Korea (and also in the San Francisco Bay Area). They make the original plain and then an assortment of other unique flavors, some savory and some sweet. Salt bread looks like a croissant but isn't flakey. It is very buttery to give it a soft and light texture. It's airy inside and you get a kick of the salt flavor, but very slight. I tried the "everything" salt bread because they were out of the original and I wanted to try something simple to get a sense of salt bread and it was great. Then I had the strawberry and milk cream, and it was great too although a bit challenging to eat with all the cream stuffed inside, and topped with beautifully large strawberry slices. I also got the strawberry matcha latte and it tasted good (I subbed with oat milk) although tricky to drink because of the strawberry chunks that clogged the straw. The line moves a bit slow, but that's because they put a lot of attention to detail and they treat each guest like you're the only customer. The interior is small with a few tables, but because they're limiting the people going in, it doesn't feel crowded or overwhelming. Right now they're limiting purchases to 4 per person, and lines begin before they open at 9 a.m. Can't wait to go back and try the other flavors.

Tried the milk cream and the garlic butter. So yummy , warm , buttery and amazing. I wish I got more. Will definitely be back. Cute minimalist ambiance. I don't understand the negative reviews on here about selling out and the wait times. If you want your chance at bread either get there earlier or just be happy that our small local businesses are doing well enough to sell out.

So tasty! We got there around 8:15 and were third in line for the 9:00 am bread. They were having some issues that had them limit the supply to only 100 today, and a limit of 2 per person. That said- I see they are hiring and working out the kinks- I'm confident they will have a more robust amount of bread in the coming days! The actually bread was buttery and delicious. The smell was incredible. The staff were very kind and hard working. Looking forward to going again!

Today only had Original, Strawberry on milk cream, P.J., Garlic and Sausage.

Crispy, airy, buttery and oh, so delicate, my raspberry cruffin was the dessert dreams are made of! If you've never had a cruffin... what are you waiting for?! It's croissant dough baked into a muffin shape. And the particular version I ordered today was filled with sweet and creamy vanilla custard and raspberry jelly. My mouth is watering describing this now, a true sign I'll be returning to experience this delicacy time and time again. There are three locations of Twisted Croissant in Portland, and this is the only one I've visited. The interior has a classic Parisian bakery vibe, clad in white subway tile from floor to ceiling. The bakery case in front of the store is beautifully stocked with fresh pastries, perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea. However, be advised, there are only two tables in the back of their public space, so it's not particularly inviting space to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Given the location, I assume there is outdoor seating in the summer months, but don't quote me on that. Regardless, run here if you haven't been. These baked goods are worth the visit!

Come early because they do run out of pastries. Everything I've ordered has tasted great. The croissants are especially good. Very flavorful and buttery. Lots of unique flavors too, and in the macarons as well. The space itself is small with almost no seating and it's too crammed to form an appropriate line. You have to balance on small steps at some point. Not ideal. I would normally give this bakery 4-5 stars, but I think they deserve only two stars for my personal experiences. The staff has never been all that friendly, and on my last visit (and last for a while or ever) one woman was so rude to me I was so shocked I just stood there with my jaw hanging open until I finally regained my wits and just stepped away. I don't even know what caused her attitude, I had ordered and paid, but she didn't like how I was waiting for my bag of food, I guess. I don't know. But I won't be going back anytime soon even if I lived in Portland. Bummer because it's very tasty.
