I visited The Pie Spot several weeks ago. My plan was to get both a pie for myself and a pie for my fiancee to go. There was a good selection of pies at the end of the day. I got the bourbon peach pie for myself and the peanut butter chocolate pie for my fiancee. The filling was very good on my pie. The peaches were sweet and there was a noticeable bourbon flavor. I tried a small bit of the peanut butter chocolate pie and it was very rich. It was quite chocolaty and peanut buttery. The crust was just ok on both pies. I'd like to come back here and try more pies.
Portland has a thriving pie scene so it was a must check-off item for me. We stopped by on Saturday afternoon after lunch and tried their "cupcake-style" pies. My parents, husband, and I shared the Marionberry and brown butter pecan pies. I love their individual pie size because it is the perfect amount to indulge without feeling overly guilty. The crust is a killer and the filling is decadent! My daughters split the pie crust cinnamon roll. That plate was cleared within a minute and there was not a piece of crumb to be spotted. The Laura Palmer is a lemonade and ruby nectar herbal tea. Very unique and refreshing for a hot summer day!
An unexpected highlight of my Portland trip. Came early on Sunday morning and no lines. I got the marionberry and corn seasonal pies, along with the cornflakes chocolate chip cookie after being surprised by how cheap it was (coming from NYC). The corn pie was one of my favorites on this trip. The marionberry is deeply flavored for those who love fruit pies, and the cookie retained the crunchiness of the cornflakes even at the end of the day.
Wanted dessert after having lunch around the corner. Personal Pie ~ wanted a little more depth in the crust. Fillings were good but not enough to balance the thick crust. Way too small for the price. Then the tip request is always annoying when the counter service has an annoyed attitude. No cute vibe inside and loud from the kitchen. A couple mini picnic tables for two that are grungy outside.
Food: Chicken-pot pie and s'mores pie was so good! The cereal killer chocolate chip is absolute favorite in our house. Lemon and Marion berry pies are also great options. Staff: kind and friendly. Answered any questions we had. Space: great indoor or outdoor seating options!
What a cool little spot with some amazing sweet treats! So many choices and the service was friendly, patient. I ordered a key lime pie, a pecan/brown butter pie, a salted caramel and a peach and marionberry pie and each of my family member were pleasantly pleased. I was traveling and on my way back home but before heading to the airport I hit up this spot to grab a few treats for my family. I had a small Trader Joe's lunch bag cooler and they provided individual boxes and ice so that the pies stayed chilled. Extremely accommodating!
Really friendly staff, very reasonable prices, I got a really good iced latte, the special for the day. The baked goods did not disappoint
Everything here is made from scratch... every bite is like getting wrapped in a warm hug. Have had some of their savory pies previously which were amazing. Today, we tried their breakfast sandwich on homemade English muffins (amazing). They use real eggs, cheese and the bacon has a nice crisp. Cute interior design with a few spots to enjoy it if you're dining in. The food came out quick and was such a good breakfast treat. Highly recommend for savory OR sweet. Whatever you're in the mood for, they got you covered.

I prefer cakes and cookies over pie but I'm here to tell you these little pies are a delight! They are just the right amount of indulgence and have a wonderful pie filling to crust ratio. I had a hard time deciding for someone who doesn't absolutely love pie so, I chose the seasonal bourbon peach AND a classic pecan to split with my lobster. He chose a classic cherry. All three pies were fabulous! The service was warm, super friendly, and fun. It's a welcoming and comfortable space and it just feels like if you go a few times, it's going to be like Cheers. Again, while I'm not the pie connoisseur of our family, I would be happy to return and check out the autumnal and winter pie choices and enjoy the welcoming vibes.
Absolutely, incredible. My mother makes amazing pies, and even she said, this was one of the best she's ever had. For a recent birthday, we got a whole banana cream. A mountain of whip, drizzle of salted caramel and the custard is so fresh and tasty. Crust on all pies is thick, flaky and buttery. Chocolate peanut butter, also got a whole, is what a dark chocolate peanut butter cup could only aspire to be. Sinful, in a good way. Though, I believe $32 or so for each may seem steep, but we found that the 9 inch could easily feed 10 people, and with the quality, I'd say a bargain. A real seasonal star is also their sweet corn pie. Totally unique with that fresh corn milk flavor, piled high with cream and a little seasoning dust on top. Outstanding! I would totally buy that they are shucking corn back there. The people are spectacular, and the shop couldn't be cuter. Why eat cake, when there's pie.
THE BIG: Breakfast and small pie shop located in the Laurelhurst neighborhood of Portland. Small space but there's a table if you want to dine in. Street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with a few friends on a Monday morning hungry for some food. It's attached to bagel shop that equally smelled amazing. For food, we got 2 breakfast sandwiches and a chocolate hazelnut pie. The breakfast sandwich resembled a egg mcmuffin from mcdonalds but damn was it delicious. The hazelnut pie was a cute lil thang and it resembled more of a pecan pie texture and flavor. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall we spent around $26 for the three items. Delicious breakfast treat and I'd say a must try if you're ever in this area of Portland.
I love the Pie Spot! My go-to's are the pie crust cinnamon roll & the breakfast sandwich. The Pie Spot take on the cinnamon roll is just pure flaky goodness, and something you can only get here! I love the breakfast sandwich because they actually make their own English muffins, really fluffy & fresh. You can add protein but I stick with the classic egg & cheese. The Hank's sauce gives the sandwich a nice little zing! The other thing I appreciate about this location is the space itself. It's on the smaller side but very cozy, there's always some cool art on the walls & I love that they take the time to put fresh flowers out on all the tables! The staff is always very kind & welcoming.
Ordered: -Strawberry cheesecake -Banana cream pie Pro: -They standout for us was the strawberry cheesecake. It has a subtle strawberry yogurt taste with fresh strawberries embedded. The cream on top was just the right amount, very fluffy, light, and not too sweet. -Every bite has just enough crust! -Plenty of options to choose from & a one person's serving vs a standard pie size so you can try more than one and not feel guilty! -Good packaging that holds your mini pie in place. wow wow wow. i had an early doctors appointment in the area and while i was there i looked up breakfast sandwiches near me. The Pie spot popped up and the reviews were great so i decided to head over to grab one. jackie helped me at the counter & they were so warm and friendly. they recommended the marionberry pie, it was delicious! i ordered the spam breakfast sandwich. it was pipping hot and absolutely insane. the housemade english muffin was soft & fluffy. the perfect vessel for a breakfast sandwich. the egg was perfectly cooked and topped with my fav, american cheese. the surprise was the outstanding sauce they put on it. holy smokes, it was DELICIOUS. super flavorful and complimented everything so nicely. i'm still thinking about how good it was. i got the s'mores pies and a peach pie along with the marionberry jackie recommended. the s'mores was truly exceptional, gimme 15 right now. my perfect dessert. i love the fruit pies as well. the peach was flavorful and the crust was perfectly flaky. the marionberry was delicious, flavorful and paired perfectly with a lil vanilla ice cream :) pricing is SO reasonable for portion sizes. the inside is small but there were plenty of seats while i was in there. parking can be a bit tricky but this place is WORTH IT. i truly can not wait to come back & grab a breakfast sandwich & some pies. Came here during my last two visits to Portland, and will keep coming back! It's a small location next to a bagel shop, so this place can fill up quickly. The staff was friendly and were happy to answer our questions. I'm a huge fan of the breakfast sandwich with Spam. The bread was toasted perfectly, the American cheese was melted just right, and the house Hank's sauce took the whole sandwich up another notch. Definitely a solid way to start the day. I also enjoyed the Marionberry pie, which was a great sweet finish,but not too sweet. They have a ton of choices when it comes to both sweet and savory pies, so there's plenty to keep coming back for. Already looking forward to my next Portland visit so I can try some more! read more

Best breakfast sandwich in Portland hands down. I love the sauce that comes on the sandwich and the American cheese is perfect. The fresh baked English muffins are the star of the show though. There really is no better breakfast sandwich in town and it's in such a lovely area as well. Parking around the area can be hard to find but just be persistent and you will find it. Make sure you also try their baked goods as they are very delectable!! read more

I get the hype about why everyone raves about this place having the best breakfast sandwich in PDX, despite their name highlighting the pies. It's the best one I've had in my life! The English muffin they apparently make in-house is so, so soft. Whatever sauce they put inside is like crack. The pies are delicious too, I only tasted the s'mores one so far and the chocolate filling inside is very rich, and they top it off with plenty of gooey marshmallow. Service is really nice, you order and pay up front and they bring out your food to you. The inside is filled with artwork that was lovely to look at! It's a bright and colorful interior, and the garage door opens up the inside space beautifully to still get some fresh air in. read more
I got the mushroom pot pie which was so delicious and well seasoned. It came with big chunks of mushroom which I loved. The crust was flaky and it was everything I could want! My friends each got breakfast sandwiches and they loved theirs. You can customize it with the add-on options like bacon and spam. I also had the lemon curd pie which was tasty, and everyone liked their drinks. The folks working the counter were so nice. There's WiFi and tables to work at, with fresh flowers in vases. There's also some patio seating and at least today the "garage door" type thing was open so it was an indoor-outdoor experience. Really nice with the warmer weather. read more
Such a cool, cute and tasty place for pie! It was so fun to go inside and check out the building. Outside there is a painted flamingo mural which I loved so much! Inside is decorated with more works of are and the colors and decor were fun too! The main attraction is all the lies of course. From sweet to savory they have something to satisfy your sweet tooth and soul! We enjoyed some chicken pot pies, cheeseburger hand pie and lots of little sweet pies and cookies. It was amazing. Loved this place, will definitely go back! The workers there were very sweet and friendly. The place was nice and cozy feeling. Clean workspace. They had so many options. They even had options that weren't listed online like the apple mini pie I got. They had a few orders they were taking care of while I was deciding on my order. Which means their desserts were popular and I was excited to try them. I bought 3 mini pies (cherry, apple, and chocolate hazelnut) for my dad's birthday. The packaging was cute and so were the designs for the desserts. Looked very appealing. Perfect for gift giving. I was afraid the pies would be mostly crust but it was actually pretty thin and had plenty of filling and flavor. Perfect and appropriate sweetness to each of them. I bought the desserts early afternoon and didn't actually eat them til after dinner and they were still scrumptious. Can't imagine how good it would be fresh out the oven. My parents loved them too! The mini pies were perfect size for one person each. Definitely want to try out more on their menu :) read more
Whether savory or sweet is your preference, The Pie Spot is your place for either or all. On top of incredible pies, they have amazing breakfast sandwiches. The English Muffin is unique and crispy, filled with perfectly scrambled eggs, cheese, and special sauce. The price is on point and more than reasonable for what you walk away with, a full belly and heart. We got a mushroom and gruyere pie to go. Heated it up at home and it was perfection. The crust, perfectly crisped and flaky, filled with tasty mushrooms and cheesy sauce. This was so good that I will be stopping by to pick one up to bring back home to LA where we actually have the amazing Pie Hole, it just isn't the Pie Spot. Gluten free review: We decided to walk over for a yummy dessert after dinner because we heard they had gluten free pie! Our surprise they still had some left! We had the Marion Berry and Brandy Apple Crumble. The pies were in mini little pie pans. So cute. They were 5 dollars a piece. They were both yummy. I do suggest you buy your own and no sharing! Not really a sharing size. They are about 3 or so bites (that's not a sharing size for me ). The service was wonderful and kind. They had fun decor and merch! This is definitely an area that if you were around, I would stop in and grab a pie. read more

The staff was friendly greeting me right away, along with saying hi to my dog and offering her a treat! :) I was excited to try the breakfast sandwich I saw on yelp. All of the pie options are even more exciting! Starting off classic, I ordered two egg sandwiches - one bacon and one house smash sausage. The sausage was super tasty, but heavy on fennel. If you don't like fennel - maybe steer clear. The bacon was good, but nothing to brag about. Both sandwiches had their Hank's sauce, which adds a unique taste. It reminded me a little of the mustard sauce in a Burgerville classic burger. I might order without next time. My iced latte was exceptional! For pie, I decided on the seasonal raspberry rhubarb - super tart - but delicious!! I can't wait to try more. Cheesecake options, too! Prices are reasonable and it's worth visiting. read more

Pies were super cute and small, like bite size pies that was fun to eat. I love banana cream pies but I felt that there was too much crust and the filling ratio was not enough for me. The s'mores was good but came out very sweet and gooey which was expected. The boysenberry was pretty good as well but im not a fruit pie type of person but one of the workers recommended it. I'm hapoy I was able to try this place but I'm not sure if it would be a returning store for me. Pretty good tho if you want a quick dessert to go! read more

Great "spot" to grab a personal pie treat. Perfect size for one person to enjoy. Found street parking around the corner on the triangular section of this area. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere and neighborhood, and the gentleman was super friendly. Tried the marionberry since it's special for OR and I was the tourist back in June 2023. Brown butter pecan, and smores for the kid. I am not a pie expert since I mostly love the crust of the pie, more than the fillings. All the pies had great crusts, so I enjoyed it for sure. Flavorwise the brown butter pecan was my favorite, since I am not much a fan of fruit pies. But the marionberry was still good. Even with the thick crust, I think I need even more crust to filling ration, but I don't think they make pies with more crust than these, lol. read more

Little pies make for such a fun dessert! Came in here after an early dinner because I had a taste for something sweet. This place was perfect as they had a great selection of little pies and medium sized cookies. I enjoyed the decedent peanut butter chocolate pie. We split the cookies which were chocolate chip and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. read more
