Finally, Kara engaged and we got the Permission to Operate about two months after the install. Supposedly Jeff (the Business Owner) is no longer with the company and has gone back East, so not sure who is leading their future efforts. For future customers: hang on to a portion of the payment till the Permission to Operate is received not just the installation.

Got Watts installed two phases of solar panels on my roof, 67 panels in total. The job was massive,…read morethe price was fair, and the follow up service was excellent. There were hardware glitches after installation, but the Got Watts team reliably spotted them - without me realizing there was even an issue - and sent teams out to ensure my equipment worked as promised. Years later I noticed some leaks through my roof where some phase 2 panels were installed. I notified Got Watts and they sent large crews to my home to rectify the issue over several days. This was no small fix. They probably spent vastly more to rectify the leaks than they did to install the panels to begin with. No one likes to have problems with an install. But, it means a lot for a contractor to honor their commitment and spend vast sums to honor their warranty, and their word, to their customer. I've had "good companies" make promises they wouldn't honor once the initial check cleared. Got Watts was true to their word and treated me in a dignified manner that is rare these days. On site, the design and install team did a great job keeping things simple. The entire system, including battery and thirteen panels, was installed according to Ramiros's expert design within just four hours. Good quality hardware was used to tie to the roof, which was inspected by our roofer and given a big thumbs up for not causing problems. But even before that, David our site survey tech, gave us the sense that all would proceed well, as he collected necessary data by drone, and made a favorable first impression with his personable approach. Toward the end of the multi-month process, which included time to get a new roof installed, we passed city inspection with YES tech, Dario, an extremely courteous young man, present to ensure we made it through that last step and PTO (permission to operate). YES has an excellent and well-deserved reputation because of these people and others who worked on our behalf. The company can do better automating some of the process, and to be fair, they say they are working on transitioning to a CRM software solution for this purpose. But, I can say that over a period of several months, I had excellent communication with many helpful people. Skyler in customer service was my primary contact and that made all the difference. I had a frustrating experience with Your Energy Solutions regarding a warranty transfer. The…read morecontract stated that an additional charge would be incurred for the warranty transfer but did not disclose the amount. We were later charged $500 with no prior breakdown or explanation of the fee. I clearly communicated that I would be the one paying this charge. Despite that, the service department reached out directly to the buyer and asked who would be paying. This unnecessary contact created confusion and complications during the escrow process that could have easily been avoided. The lack of transparency on the warranty transfer fee and the poor internal communication caused more stress than necessary. Businesses handling real estate-related services should be more careful with both contract clarity and how they communicate with parties involved in a transaction.

Theses panels have done an incredible job of heating our pool throughout the years, thanks to Diablo Solar maintaining them. Recently we had to replace our roof. Diablo Solar worked closely with us to take the panels off and put them back on right before and right after our roof was replaced. The crew did an amazing job! They were super polite, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and considerate. Zach, Gary and Joe took the panels off. They carefully placed them in our yard and did not damage a single piece. Zach and Julian put the panels back on our roof perfectly. They look beautiful and are again heating our pool flawlessly. Because of the good experience I had with having Clean Solar install panels at my house I reached out to them to see if they would service panels installed by another, and thankfully they accepted the job. After some back and forth with their customer support, they remotely assessed that the inverter failed and they would install a new one for a reasonable price. Clean Solar employee Jose arrived early for the install and he was very polite and relatable. He replaced the inverter and did not leave until he made sure that the system was back up and running and production was being reported in the app. I recommend Clean Solar to anyone needing their panels serviced or to install a new system. Jose is an excellent employee and my mom had a great experience working with him.

We also requested that this person not show up again but they kept sending him back. At the end of the project half of the Tesla walls were connected and working but the other half wasn't connecting. At one point our bedrooms electricity didn't work, it wasn't the breakers and Nick was awesome enough to take our after hours call and help us manually override those other 2 disconnected wall panels. The dream team (Nick, Kevin and Albert) resolved the connection and all is working now. Also, Nick stayed late to make sure our Tesla walls were configured and updated properly. Plus , a shout out to Jeremy for staying late as well to help fix a broken issue. Feedback: Organize a team that works well together to effectively complete the project. Provide sexual harassment training (this is excluding people listed here). If a female client doesn't feel comfortable with a person don't resend them back. In addition to upgrading our panel, he had to do a couple of hole patches in our wood siding , which is out of his general scope of work , but did a nice job at it. Juan was very thorough and I appreciated his cleanup when he was done.There was no scraps of wire, electric tape, nothing left on the ground, which was very much appreciated. And as a side note, there are four houses on our street who have used Northern Pacific Power for their solar needs. Which I would think in itself, is a pretty good recommendation.

Five stars for the installation -- outstanding project manager and crew: responsive, punctual,…read moreprofessional, top-quality work. One star for the sales process. When we raised concerns, I believe the salesperson my partner dealt with wanted to make things right, but sales leadership stepped in, dismissed our concerns as unfounded, and offered nothing. Those concerns were (and still are): 1) Sketchy contract execution. NPP offers a 5-year prepaid lease in partnership with Balto Energy. It lets homeowners offset installation costs because the leasing company collects a 30% federal tax credit (no longer available to homeowners) and, in NPP's words, "monetizes that tax credit over 5 years." The contract was executed by sending the DocuSign to just one partner, with all owners lumped onto a single signature line -- one person signing on behalf of the other. For a married couple in California, that's legally questionable under community property law, given a) the encumbrances placed on jointly owned property, and b) no power of attorney authorizing one spouse to sign for the other. I never saw the agreement until installation was underway. 2) Misleading claims. My partner was told, verbally and in writing, that we'd "own the system outright" at the end of the 5-year term. In truth, the contract contains only vague language about a fair-market-value buyout, with no detail on how to initiate it or who to contact at end of lease. We've had zero contact with Balto through this entire process -- only NPP -- yet NPP's sales director told us they have no role in the lease agreement once it's signed. In other words, they don't stand behind the product they sell. Don't be like us -- do your diligence (especially if you're over 65 and new to solar leases), verify every claim against the actual contract language, and make sure all owners review and sign every agreement.

I thought I would leave feedback after having solar installed in 2022 by Solar Optimum here in the…read moreeast bay. Solar optimum offered me Panasonic solar panels with a warranty guarantee from Panasonic which essentially guaranteed that as long as Solar optimum or any other certified installer installed our system that even if Solar Optimum were to go out of business, Panasonic would pick up the workmanship and product warranty for 25 years - this was something that no other company I reached out too could offer and to me made it clear that I wanted to go with Solar Optimum. After install Panasonic did send me a warranty certificate warranting the panels should Solar Optimum go out of business. The system works well. In its first year it significantly outperformed the estimated production by about 3MWH and YTD it will soon pass the production estimate for the entire 2024 year. There were two big issues when working with Solar Optimum - communication was brutal and would constantly be a back and forth of unanswered emails, non returned phone calls, and overall poor communication. The second issue was after install the installers drilled holes too deep and through my ceiling drywall and coordinating the install team to come out and fix it wasn't easy and took longer than it should have - when they finally came out to patch my drywall they smeared over some putty in the 8-10 holes, didn't paint it and didn't try and match the patches with my roofs texture leaving that responsibility with me. However because they're a smaller company there are far less mark ups compared to other solar companies and the price was far more competitive than any other company I cross shopped with an outstanding Panasonic backed warranty.

Queen Murphy Bed Wall Unit…read more One man job during most of assembly, then two-man when heavy lifting and affixing to wall Joseph was able to follow written installation instructions and You Tube installation video for help. Joseph completed the work in under 4 hours, but needed to return the next day to correct headboard installation. Perhaps 5 hours total. The unit looks great. No complaints. I will definitely call Joseph for my next handyman project. Joseph is knowledgeable, fast, cleans up work site, offers to help and he was able to respond the same day so we would have a place to sleep that night and he returned the next evening to finish up.

DID NOT COMPLETE THE JOB! GHOSTED!…read more I had several issues with Joseph. First, he way overcharged me for the work done. Had to run back to Lowe's several times because he either forgot items or got the wrong kind. He never offered a receipt for purchases. He screwed up the installation of the vertical blinds by not hanging them high enough, then decided to just cut the bottoms of them. He had to go back to Lowe's to get more blinds becasue he didn't know he needed two sets, and he took way too long to do the jobs he did do. The worst part is that he was supposed to come back and finish cutting the blinds so they fit, and he completely ghosted me. So now I have to go back and do it myself.
