My go-to is their brown sugar milk tea and I've even gotten my younger sis absolutely addicted to it (and she HATES milk teas). This spot gets crowded FAST which is dangerous during the age of Covid-19. I always go during the first few hours of it opening when it's emptier. Glad that their tea mixes weren't pre-sweetened. They were unable to confirm if they could replace the sugar sweetness with artificial sweeteners instead of sugar. I enjoyed the taste of their ruby milk (house black tea) but their tapioca pearls were harder than what I would have liked, indicating to me that they aren't fresh. This is a great bubble tea spot. The staff was friendly and our drinks were made pretty quickly. We tried the strawberry green tea with crystal boba and milk foam and peach green tea with nata jelly. It was my first time trying milk foam and I thought it complimented the tea well, a sort of salty/savory top of the drink. They were both super refreshing drinks in the hot Pittsburgh weather. Ordered a boba peach green tea, no jelly but got peach strawberry lime concoction. Waited 30 mins & couldn't wait another 30 for a remake since we're passing through on a road trip! Such strong flavors and amazing tapioca and the store itself is very nice inside they have nice kiosks you can order off of with so many choices it's overwhelming. I think it's very neat that you can choose your sugar level and milk and add things on! They are really quick for the amount of customers they have. I saw people walking around with these new bubble tea cups and I just had to find this place! After looking around, finally found this place next to Every day noodles. When we first entered, we noticed that it was nicely decorated but it was extremely hot. I had to step outside because it was cooler outside in 93 degree weather than in the store. The choices are wide and you can always find something. We got milk green tea with jelly. The flavor was good but this was supposed to be a cold drink yet it was warm.. room temperature at best. I love bubble tea and was so excited to hear about this new place! The shop is located in Squirrel Hill. I was overwhelmed with how many options there were but I ended up going with the lychee green tea with foam. The drink was super flavorful as I appreciated the fresh lychee. My only negative was that I was not expecting the slushie consistency. I had never had the foam before but it was a nice touch. I came back and tried the brown sugar bubble tea and it was delicious! It is more of a classic milk tea with some sweetness. Overall, I am a fan of Tsaocaa and will definitely be back! It is the perfect place to go for a refreshing drink on a hot summer day. This place is in a great location in squirrel hill. The aesthetic is very modern and clean. The staff was friendly although it was fairly busy and I had to wait about 15 minutes for my drink. They have a wide selection of drinks -- I tried the brown sugar milk tea. The drink overall was very good, it wasn't overly sweet and it had a good flavor. I was disappointed in the tapioca pearls though -- they were fairly hard on the inside. My partner and I stopped by here on Sunday for a bubble tea. I got the mango yogurt slush with crystal boba and added milk foam (and reduced the sugar to 50%). The thing I loved the most about my drink was that it had real chunks of mango in it. The drink was sweet enough (at the 50% sweetness) and had the lovely chewy texture of the crystal boba. The milk foam on top was a sweat, creamy, and salty addition. If you have never had milk foam (goes by a bunch of names... milk foam/milk cap/ cheese foam/ etc), I highly recommend trying it. The venue was decorated pretty sparsely, the ac wasn't on (or working) and our bubble tea took a bit of time. It appeared that a worker had to run out for ice. The milk tea itself had a strong tea flavor and the 30% sugar was perfect! The pineapple & passion fruit green tea so was refreshing! The pineapple pieces make it a bit sweeter for 30% sugar, but was still amazing. Definitely recommend making a visit here, but heads up it is always super busy & there is limited parking in the area. The egg waffle has a very strong, eggy flavor that is sweet - not my favorite but I think they did a great job with this snack. The texture is airy with some bits of crispy, caramelized dough. I came here for a quick weekend getaway with my friend. It's a thing for me to try a bubble tea place every time I go to a new city so I came upon this on Yelp. I had to give it a try. The pictures of the drinks looks good and it was right next door to the restaurant we were eating at. It was pretty popular in the area since it was pretty packed when we went. They have a choice of self ordering with the iPad or ordering with a staff. I wanted to try something new so I was debating between peach oolong tea and the Sakura oolong tea so i went for the Sakura. It was a mistake.... It tasted like seaweed so I was a little disappointed. The next day before I left, I went back and got my regular jasmine green tea because you can never go wrong with that and it was perfect! The boba was chewy too! I just love the way they make their oolong tea. It is freshly brewed in a kind of a blender. I wish every bubble tea place did that.
