I've heard a lot of Tiger Sugar in NYC and other cities, so it's great to see a location open up in Pittsburgh too. They have a large variety of drinks so everyone is sure to find a flavor they like with milk-based teas and regular teas. There is few seating in the shop and free WIFI. You can order off the kiosks, and the drinks are ready pretty quickly. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful in making recommendations.

My brown sugar milk tea with jelly was quite tasty. It was my first time trying the jelly. It's not the herbal grass jelly, but something between tapioca and jello. I came on the second day of their opening, so it was a bit chaotic. They only had a couple of menus lying around. Their giant monitor did not provide any useful information. You have to order at their kiosks in the back, and most people didn't know what they were ordering until they got to the kiosk, and that added to the wait time. There was really no room to form lines in front of the kiosks either. I can see this setup working if they only had five customers standing around. There were easily 10-15 people standing around when I was there. They also only have three small tables, so it's really a takeout kind of place. I'll give it a try again in a month or so. Hopefully they'll have their kinks ironed out.

Tried this new place during its grand opening. The tea is good. There are a lot of people queuing and it took a long time to get our drinks. They do not have big space inside. Three tables and that's it. L.

We had a wonderful time coming to the opening weekend for Tiger Sugar. To help control the crowd for opening weekend, there was a line outside and they slowly let people in. We ordered on the kiosk. Since we were on of the first 50 people, we got a free keychain which was super cute! I enjoyed the mini pearls that came in the drink. There are only 3 tables inside so it might be hard to find a seat. Overall it was a great experience!

They also offer weekly rotating soft serve flavors and matcha ice cream you can have at different levels of matcha as well. The indoor and outdoor seating is fine and I appreciate the public bathroom. My fave was the blueberry matcha latte but it's ube season now. My current favorite is the iced banana pudding matcha latte with coconut milk at level one.

Menu offerings were so vast, it took me a while to read through everything because it all sounded so good! They have a couple of rotating specials and different grades of matcha depending on caffeine levels and a weekly rotation of their soft serve. In addition to matcha lattes, they have shaved ice, soft serve floats, espresso + matcha combos, refreshers, and combos I never thought of but wanted to try. I love a yuzu drink so I tried their yuzu cool, a yuzu blended ice drink topped with their grade 1 matcha. It was amazing. The matcha quality was fantastic and you could really taste the difference. My friend tried one of spring menu offerings, a peach based latte and loved it. There's very limited seating inside so be aware. Street parking outside. I can't wait to return!!

It's so good, I've gotten it twice in the past week! The price for 3 scoops is unbeatable. Really fresh, large cubes of salmon that mix in so well with the sauces and toppings they offer! I ordered the build-your-own bowl, which came out to around $13. For the base, I did half sushi rice and half organic spring mix. I added two scoops of protein: tofu and chicken. For mix-ins, I chose cucumber, carrots, and wakame seaweed, then topped it with ponzu sauce, pineapple, edamame, and shredded nori for crunch. Overall, the bowl was definitely filling and felt like a good value for lunch. I did expect the chicken to be warm, but it was served cold, and the tofu was uncooked, so the proteins were a little disappointing and bland on their own. Mixing everything together helped a lot, especially to distribute the sweet and tangy sauce throughout the bowl. I would return, but I'd probably make some adjustments to my bowl choices next time.
