    3Pcs Mochi Donut 3
    Caroline N.

*DISCLAIMER* I tried this business tonight through "Too Good To Go" -- a service that partners with local businesses to provide a way for businesses to sell "surprise bags" of leftover goods to fight food waste and provide a means for cheaper food. That being said, I was given a Four Seasons green milk tea and 3 mochi donuts as my "small bag" surprise bag for $6. I'm assuming the packaging for my order was diff than what is usually used. Usually I don't drink milk teas with green tea as the base, so it was more aromatic than I'm used to, but it was still bearable for me and I enjoyed the drink. The mochi donuts still tasted fresh and were chewy/soft despite me trying them around closing time. Happy with my experience at Tsaocaa and the app Too Good to Go!!

Was in the neighborhood and decided to try this place for dinner. Their prices on the chicken drink combo have increased quit a bit from the postings online. Like a 23% increase ($12.99 to $15.99) for the 6 piece combo. The staff was super meh. Seemed like the woman didn't want to be there. She did the job and all, but never broke a smile. The mango milk swirl wasn't very sweet. It said brown sugar on the description so I was hoping for something sweet to satisfy that craving I had. Nope. The chicken wings were crisp. But the "cheesy crispy" topping tasted like a korr's chicken bouillon bomb has been dropped on it. Couldn't even taste the cheese. It was like having chicken powder .... on top of my chicken. Also got a mochi donut because the drink didn't do it for me. I wanted the matcha one but the menu photo (which showed an all green donut) was nothing like what was in the display case (which was a regular donut with light sprinkle of green powder on top - you can see it in the back of the top row of the photo I snapped for the display case). So I got a chocolate frosted one with a pocky stick on top. I don't know if it was worth $3 but it tasted ok. They got bidets on the toilet which was kind of cool. They got a printer - also cool. And games that nobody was playing. While there they had a stead steam of customers. So that's always good sign. Caution: the songs they play there are uncensored. Lot of hip hop. So they use curse words and the N-word with great frequency. The last song before I finally had to take my kid out of there because it was just too much was Fergie's London Bridge - you know where they keep saying "oh sh*t" over and over and over again non stop. Laters.

    Four Season Green Tea 四季青绿茶

I've been on the hunt for more boba shop options close to the Med Center and I'm glad I gave Tsaocaa a try! I ordered the Four Seasons pure green tea with their cheese foam top and I found the price to be very reasonable for a delicious taste. The cheese foam is thick and creamy with a nice hint of cheese within the sweetness, and the Four Seasons pure tea is refreshing with a steeped tea flavor. This order has been my go-to lately and it's such a great spot for a quick grab-and-go! The cashiers are friendly in answering my questions and my drinks come out relatively quickly. The atmosphere of the shop itself is decent, as there's plenty of seating to wait for your order to come out. However, I wouldn't choose to sit here for a long time to study, for example. There are seats with larger tables and outlets, for those who would like that option. I haven't tried many of their toppings aside from their nata coco, but that topping wasn't particularly my favorite and I felt like it was a bit sour and took away from the flavor of the tea. Overall, I would come back here for a quick fix of their pure teas and cheese foam!

This boba shop seemed new and super close and so we checked it out to get our new year boba! They have quite an extensive menu ranging from bobas, slushes, fried chicken, and waffles. The interior is very nice and clean with plenty of opportunities to take photos if you're into that kind of thing. In total, we ordered 8 different drinks and 2 boxes of their boneless korean fried chicken. We did pick up and we were about 10 minutes late and so it was nice that they had kept our drinks in the fridge to keep them cold! My siblings raved about the grapefruit flavored slushy and tea. My parents though opted for Thai tea with Boba and while the Thai tea was flavorful, the Boba was very hard and not as chewy as expected. We also found this to be true with the other drinks that we ordered with tapioca pearls. Found that even with 70% sweetness the teas really weren't sweet so highly recommend 100% sweetness. We opted for the fried chicken because the flavors of BBQ chicken fried chicken resembled the popular b.b.q chicken. However, the flavors weren't as strong as we hoped (cheesling was not as cheesy and spicy sauce was on the side and too sweet in our opinion). Overall, not a bad place, but probably a place I would only go if it was super super convenient since the flavors did really allow me and the Boba was hard.

Finally tried this new-ish boba place in west U/Rice area after months of driving past it! This boba place from Taiwan is, per my research, known for its fried chicken and boba drinks. Today we decided to just do the fried chicken part. Parking is shared since it's in a strip. The girl at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. When we walked in we were the only ones there and there's plenty of seating available. We ordered the soy garlic and cheesy crispy boneless chicken. We also got an egg waffle. The chicken both came out promptly. The soy garlic was nice savory and sweet, the cheesy crispy reminded me of cheese fries from potato corner only chicken flavor - very delicious. The egg waffle was crispy but pillowy on the inside - overall very good experience. They also have board games to entertain you and your friends and a printer if you need it. Overall very nice experience. The shop was pretty empty when we went though so they could definitely use some business. Next time we will definitely try the boba!

Another of the multitude of boba shops all along the Rice Village area. Tsaocaa is a chain that I became accustomed to with their openings in Ohio. This is a surprisingly spacious location that has a private lot and a printer. Really nicely set up for studying and working for those looking for a workspace. This location also has fried chicken, which I would like to try at some point. I came later at night (8:45ish) because thats when my boba cravings are strongest. We were basically the only customers there and the cashier was nice and greeted us. She gave us time to browse the menu and I decided to try one of their new lemon drinks. I got the thai lemon tea and thought it was refreshing and noticed a bit of a mint, cooling effect (unsure if there's actual mint or basil or something). The one thing I enjoy about Tsaocaa are their rose drinks have a rose petal syrup with actual rose petals which is kind of fun. However, the syrup is very sweet so even when I do a 30% it comes out a bit on the sweeter side. Anyways, this is a spot I can see myself returning to. Especially if I'm wanting to do some work for a bit too!

Pretty solid boba spot. I'd say their strength that differentiates them from others is their wide selection of fruit teas as they use real chunks of fruit in a lot of their drinks. Their mango pomelo sago is pretty good, popular choice among my friend group, I like the textures and flavor profile, just a little on the sweeter side and unable to adjust sweetness on this specific drink. I also enjoyed the taro lava bubble tea at 0% sweetness which worked out pretty well since there's already a level of sweetness coming from the brown sugar boba pearls.

Called in ahead of time to place a togo order and was ready within 15-20 min. Got an oolong milk tea with boba and it was okay. not my favorite milk tea and the boba was not as soft as i would like. For food, ordered the 20 piece wings. Flavors i would recommend is the Cheesy Crispy (really enjoyed the seasoning on it, reminded me of the salted egg yolk seasoning on the salmon skin chips) and the soy garlic (pretty tasty). Wings were good size as well and had a nice crunch. The fries weren't as crispy, probably cause of the closed box and needed some extra seasoning. Parking - Few spots in the front within the plaza Would come back!

I've been wanting to check this out for a while. I finally made it in last night and was excited with the drink variety, wings options, and sweets available such as bubble waffle and mochi donuts. I felt misled with the waffle options as there was a hanging curtain that advertised many flavors that they didn't offer at this location, such as pink velvet. I opted for the coco flavor bubble waffle and the mango pomelo sago. When the kitchen staff brought out the waffle to the counter, it was thrown on top of a cleaning towel that was sitting on the countertop. I tore off the parts exposed on the outer edge of the waffle and threw it away. I thought coco stood for coconut but it was chocolate cocoa, I should've asked. The mango pomelo sago drink was good but the sago were most frozen. That explains why I couldn't shake up the sago. The restroom had no paper towels to dry my hands, no hand dryer option either. I like that there is a free printer available with suggest max prints at 6. I was disappointed during my first visit but will give this another shot in a few months or so. I'll try ordering other things on the menu and hope they clean up their service a bit.

I was intrigued when I kept seeing Tsaocaa for the past few months on my daily commute. After doing some research, and due to my profound love of bubble tea, I decided to give them a try. I was immediately impressed by their fun and pleasant interior and friendly atmosphere. There were people playing games, others studying and some just enjoying the food. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I ordered the garlic and honey chicken wings, the egg waffle and the brown sugar boba tea. Everything was delicious! The chicken was fresh and crispy, and fully covered in the tasty sauce. The milk tea was the perfect sweetness level, without being overly sugary. I was very impressed by the cups, which kept the drinks cold longer and were extremely convenient. The waffle was also great-crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. The chicken did take 15-20 min to make, but the staff were very upfront about that and told me that next time I could order ahead if I liked. I've been back several times since then and have tried the matcha and coco egg waffle and the spicy chicken, which are all amazing. Highly recommend! Edit: Tried the mochi donuts that are back, and they are AMAZING!!!

A solid boba shop offering poke, waffles (sweet and savory), and fun drinks. The drinks we all got were yummy - but I wish there was a non-caffeine option for anyone not wanting to do any caffeine at night. We got our drinks quick and it looks like this is a popular study spot for students as there was a printer and ample seating.

I was on my way back home from a meeting in the medical center and was in the mood to pick up a drink. From a random thought I decided to give Tsaocaa a visit because of another Yelp reviewer The shop is in a busy area in the Rice Village area and walked in. A very clean and simplistic layout which is nice in comparison to other business where it can be more decorative. I decided to go with two drinks, Oreo brown sugar milk tea and the Energy fruit tea. I did try the Oreo brown sugar milk tea during my drive and it was flavorful. The boba is a nice amount and I did adjust the sugar a bit to 30% but didn't not take away from overall drink. I did try the energy fruit tea today and it is nice variety of fruits which is refreshing for sure. Overall the visit to Tsaocaa was a nice trip. Seating a decent amount and you can also play board games or do some work on a laptop with WiFi. My only small concern is a very small area to park but also being close to Rice Village will bring in lots of incoming traffic both ways. I will try the other drinks at normal 100% next time. It would be a more fair take without sugar level adjustments.

EDIT. We gave it a second chance (my friend's third) and immediately trashed our drinks and went to Teahouse. First I took a few minutes longer to order because the menu is large and I wanted to try something new and the employee was irritated. There was no one else in line and my friend had already ordered his drink so it wasn't like it was a problem. The drinks were sour and overly citrusy when they shouldn't have been. I had the peach oolong tea and it tasted like lemon for some reason and barely any peach flavor. My friend's drink tasted bad sour. It was ok. I'll definitely go back and try another drink. They were out of some of the jelly and all of the milk teas, so that limited what I wanted. I tried the peach slush and it was good. It cools have been blended a bit more because I had to really chew the ice. But it was tasty. It's hard to get peach flavor to show through teas and this one did. It has had a ton of poppers. I couldn't even finish them all. I appreciated that. The two staff members were nice and friendly and the inside is clean. Cool chairs too. I'll definitely give it at least one more try before deciding if it will be in the boba rotation. My friend also liked his guava slush.
