    Fish tacos.

Tryst Cafe has been serving Phoenix and Chandler for 16 years, using local ingredients whenever possible. After working out on a Saturday morning, a group of us came to Tryst Cafe for some good eats. I ordered: - Fried Fish Tacos ($17.50 - Tempura battered cod, cabbage, pineapple, chipotle ranch): These were some solid fried fish tacos. Bright, flavorful, and very enjoyable. The pineapple added a nice freshness. - Espresso martini ($13 - Three Olives vodka, coffee liqueur, Amaretto, Irish Cream, and a shot of Espresso): Not the most exciting espresso martini or the strongest but one that hits the right notes. I also totally stole a good portion of my friend's garlic parmesan fries. They tasted a little greasy but they had such a nice crunchy coating that it didn't matter. They offer Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes so there should be something for everybody.

First I should say that I'm not gluten free, which seems to be Tryst Cafe's niche. But I will say the menu has a ton of gluten free options, so if you're gluten free, this is the place to go There is a dog friendly patio and an indoor/outdoor bar. Our server was kind of quiet, but he got the job done. It has a kind of botanical them. They have a full bar, and I ordered an Amaretto Sour. It was just okay--heavy on the sweet and sour and light on the amaretto. By the end of the meal, my cocktail had separated and it looked like some weird stuff floating in the middle. For my meal I ordered the ahi tuna melt. The bread was a grilled Parmesan gluten free brioche, it was delicious. You'd never even know it was gluten free. The sandwich, though was very bland--almost no flavor. On the other hand, the side salad was so good. The dressing was delicious! All in all, I thought Tryst was okay. Perhaps if you must eat gluten free, this place would be a winner.

The appetizers and drinks were so yummy and perfect for sharing with friends while we sat and chitchatted on the patio. The patio itself has such a cute vibe and made for a really fun, relaxing evening together.

After a tough workout at Burn Boot Camp, my friends and I needed some grub, and conveniently, Tryst Cafe was right across the road. In the spirit of the morning's workout, I decided to stick to healthy, and ordered the Asian Jackfruit Bowl... but also drank a cold draft beer... the most refreshing drink on another day of record-breaking heat in the Valley! Some of my friends seemed slightly disappointed with their food orders, but my bowl hit the spot. The quinoa was fluffy, and the Jackfruit was cooked to perfection in an Asian-chipotle sauce. The price was a little high at 18 bucks, but Tryst is a nice place for food, drinks, and conversation with friends.

Walked over to try this place for beer and an app. Definitely wasn't disappointed by the laid back atmosphere, attentiveness of the staff, and food and beer selections. Both my husband and I got local beers we hadn't had in a while and we also got the Parmesan garlic fries to share. The beers were crisp and again, brought over so quick. The fries were the perfect crispy texture and had a perfect amount of shredded parm and some parsley, but unfortunately the garlic was a little light (I would definitely ask for more in the future). Will definitely go back for a full meal in the future.

Love this spot! It's such a cute little place tucked behind our neighborhood. The food and drinks are always great, and the servers are consistently so kind and welcoming. Tried their new November special, braised beef tostadas, and they were SO YUMMY!

We tried Tryst for the first time last weekend. They take reservations which is great for Sunday Brunch! This is a small but comfortable restaurant with ample outdoor seating. The many many gluten free options were great. We can not wait to return to try additional GF options.

We were driving by after a photo shoot in the area and decided to stop and have brunch on their shared patio. No wait for seating, server was really good about checking in. The Wife enjoyed her traditional Tryst Breakfast and I was excited to see a version of a traditional Hawaiian breakfast on the menu. Everything came out pretty quick and was tasty. My only feedback would have been that there is no salt or pepper on the tables, would have been nice if that was there so we could season our food to taste. Overall, glad we stopped by and we will keep this location in mind for the next time we are in the area.

We were on our way to flagstaff and were looking for a lunch. Tryst has a really cool vibe. Started with the buffalo cauliflower. It was too sour and the ranch didn't improve the flavor. The soup and the salad were amazing!! Highly recommend! That broth in the soup was so flavorful. The service was excellent.

Tryst is a nice little spot with a lot of options from egg dishes, French toast, pancakes, burgers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, seafood, coffees, teas, and smoothies. I tried out their bison burger and basic mango smoothie. This cost me $36.92 (includes tax and tip). The bison burger was pretty good; I wish it had a tomato in it though to complete it. The mango smoothie was very small for its cost so I would say to avoid that and stick to the entrees instead. Service was nice enough.

Met up here with some friends. I had never been before and the Ambiance was lovely, clean, and sunny. The menu had a very nice variety, lots of GF options for my friend. I had the corned beef hash breakfast. Then leeks actually made it an odd taste for me so it was meh. I know it was freshly made and their recipe, just not my fav. The sweet tots were yummy. The service was interesting....the server was good, but he was not around very often, which was surprising as it was not super busy. He was kind and sweet regardless. The food runner girl was... special....four incidents that made us laugh and confused....first she brought us food and clearly we were still reading the menu; second, she brought me hotsauces I didn't ask for but there were hot sauces in the dish on our table already; 3rd, I asked for ketchup, she brought it and I raise my hand that it's for me but she put it in front of my friend further away; lastly, she brought out another dish and clearly we had already paid and finished... The interesting service won't detour me from going back but it was memorable to say the least.

I came here for lunch with my sister. We ordered the beer battered green beans, which was very good. Then we ordered the fish taco to share. They give you 3 soft tacos in corn tortilla. I would've preferred flour tortillas, not sure if that was an option. The fish was great, and one taco filled me up already. But overall I felt it was just ok. I liked the ambiance of the place. Would love to come back for brunch next time. Our server was very nice.

Tiramisu was delicious but not very pretty (get about half size of what they serve at Pesto's Italian Kitchen in Chandler)

Had lunch here with a group of ladies on 2/25/25. Not too busy. Fantastic & attentive waitress. We all really enjoyed our lunches - fresh & delicious. 3 of us got desserts (see pics). Sorry i didn't take a pic of the dessert menu. They had ~6 options. One got affogato - served with so much espresso the ice cream/gelato all melted & basically became a latte (she prefers Bella Gustos in Chandler). Another had some sort of strawberry & banana covered cheesecake with chocolate sauce which she enjoyed. I had tiramisu- which tasted delicious (but about half the size of what they serve at Pesto's Italian Kitchen in Chandler).

Riblets, Parmesan fries, all natural hamburger, Bison burger with white cheddar, fried fish tacos.

At Joe's Farm Grill, the quality of ingredients does show in every single dish you get. Another thing to mention is, when you're done ordering your food at the register, they are pretty fast regardless of how packed the place is which pleasantly surprised me! For the onion rings, I liked them for a few reasons. Starting off, the onions weren't soggy by any means which I love in a good ring, batter wasn't the majority of the ring which is also a great sign, and lastly the crunch was very nice with them coming out fresh. The Fontina burger has a great beef patty that carries its flavor by how clean it tastes alongside the mushrooms that are the other biggest taste factor for this burger. Finally, the baby back ribs were the star for me personally because you can actually taste the pork for its quality. I usually expect a super sweet sauce that bogs me down after with ribs, but these ones left me feeling able to still go on about my day which I love. They aren't shake off the bone tender but I liked the gentle chew they provide. I had ice tea and wife ordered the blood orange jenny drink; both were great and refreshing! I also ordered a loaf of their warmed sourdough and butter to share with the table. Almost like being in San Francisco! For dinner we decided to share a couple of things; the crab cakes, which comes with fried avocado and some of the best aioli for dipping. The cakes themselves are big and full of crab with just the right amount of filling to create a decadent and moist cake! We also shared the seared jumbo scallops...High Tides knows how to cook scallops to the best! So yummy and tender and perfectly cooked with that crispy outer and the soft, creamy inside. We also shared a Caesar salad and one of the things we love about this place...ask and you can get some fresh anchovy on the side to add to the salad. Wife always asks for more lemon as well to drizzle over the salad. Overall a fantastic dinner for us and everyone with us!

No seats were available inside (good sign) so we went outside in the shaded patio with misters and found an open table. Our server, Oliver, was awesome! Very friendly and attentive and helpful with items on the menu. For drinks we ordered an old fashioned and a pint of church music. Both good choices. Since it's a burger joint, Hubs ordered the Balboa and I ordered the Yeti. Wow! My burger was to die for. The rosemary goat cheese with bacon jam was the perfect combo of tangy and sweet! Hubs was eating his burger without any complaints which is what you want. Both of us went with the hand cut fries. Crispy and very good! We can't wait to return. This place is legit!

We asked if they could turn on the sound for the World Cup and they were more than willing to accommodate. I thought the Balboa burger was very good and I would have enjoyed the gas lamp burger better if the red pepper didn't keep slipping out. They don't charge you if you change fries for tots or even your burger patty for a chicken or turkey patty, which is really nice. Lowlights: I'm a big french fry eater and I didn't really like the fries here I found them too soft. The majority of their tables inside are barstools, which is a bit uncomfortable for me personally.

The mac & cheese is some of the best I've ever had! I also feel like it's a little healthier than some other spots. We went for lunch around 12:30p so it was pretty busy but they did a really good job at seating us. Usually you take a table number after you order and sit down but since it was so busy, they made sure there was seating available before ordering since the food comes out so quickly. Always really friendly staff. Some of the seating is a little close, especially in the middle of the restaurant where the smaller 2 person tables are but there are plenty of other seats, as well as outdoor seating.

This is beyond disappointing because it was one of my favorite dishes, my go-to. Why would they eliminate a popular dish from their menu, especially when it's a popular one? Ugh. I'm really disappointed by this and I'm not the only one. This is why we can't have nice things because someone decides to make poor changes based on management decisions rather than its customer feedback. I'm going to sit in this salty space for a while and right now, and I can't say that I will come back, even if there are other good dishes. Removing a favorite is taboo, regardless if it's "not in season" or management adds new dishes. Yeah, I'm just annoyed by this change.
