I had a huge problem that Trust Rooter fixed on short notice, very professionally. A bottlebrush tree (tell your HOA don't ever plant those especially close to pipes) attacked all my plumbing. The sewer did not drain but backed up because the 4-inch pipe was crammed full of roots. Another pipe, the freshwater supply line from the street, leaked because a big 8-inch diameter bottlebrush tree root pressed against the elbow and cracked it. They came immediately and after diagnosing the problems, came back the next morning and did a lot of careful and deep digging in a large area, removed the big root (which was beyond the scope of what they were expected to do, but how else could they get to the water supply line), and replaced the damaged sections of both pipes. He was courteous, knowledge able, and he communicated with us about the problem, and the estimated cost of repair before he started his work (we thought the cost was quite reasonable). I thought I was dealing with a simple toilet leak... until the plumber opened the line and dragged out THIS nightmare. Five years ago, I removed all the old bushes out front because their roots were invading the plumbing. The bushes are long gone -- but their roots apparently decided to retire inside my pipes. And because Florida never misses a chance to Florida, this root mass wasn't alone. It had palmetto bugs living in it like it was a luxury high‑rise. If you ever have plumbing work done, ask them to check for root intrusion. You never know what's growing -- or crawling -- in there until it's already causing trouble. Update! Marvin came and did an amazing job! He found the problem and quickly resolved the issue. He was very transparent and gave a detailed explanation as to why this wasn't noticed by the previous plumber. The pricing of the services were very reasonable and they even applied promotions we weren't aware they had. I also loved their emailed receipts with very detailed documentation of the work they completed. The thing I appreciated the most was how respectful Marvin was with my mom who learned English as a second language. This is a very professional company who cares about their clients and makes sure that the whole experience is pleasant. I was having problems with my toilet not flushing intermittently. Jose came out and found the parts in the toilet were fine and of course the toilet was flushing just fine. The toilet had previously been snaked, so Jose threaded his camera hose in and could see nothing causing the problem. I would need to have the toilet removed to see what was causing the problem. I scheduled the work plus a new toilet to be installed. After Jose removed the toilet, a massive number of roots had gotten into drainpipe. The new toilet was installed expertly and neatly. Today I had camera work done to determine if there is a blockage in the bathroom pipes, two toilets installed, and all of the shut-off valves replaced in both bathrooms and kitchen sink. The guys (Manny and DeShawn) were fabulous! They came promptly at 9 AM and worked efficiently and professionally in just over 2 hours. Robin was onsite in less than two hours and was able to replace the leaking water main quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price. I had a dripping bath tub faucet. Raul came checked everything out and said the cartridge was the culprit. He replaced it and explained every step as he did it ... and he is just super nice! Kitchen sink clogged, I disassemble the under sink pipes, not the problem. Had to be an outside pipe clog. Trust Rooter does no charge visits, as opposed to others, so I call.
