My first visit was back in December 2019, before any of us knew what was coming in 2020. A group of us girls were in Paso Robles for the weekend, ended up here during our wine tasting adventures, and had the BEST time. I still remember us sitting around laughing, drinking wine and enjoying ourselves so much that we practically shut the place down. It became one of those memories from that trip that always stuck with me. Fast forward to September 2026, and I was back in Paso celebrating my 45th birthday with my partner. I told her there was one little wine tasting spot I really wanted to find again. Sure enough, I found Indigené, tucked away in the same little alleyway I remembered, and we headed over after brunch. And once again, SUCH A GOOD TIME. Raymond, the owner, is an absolute gem. We sat outside at one of the high-top tables tucked into the alley and settled in for our tasting. As locals came in and out to say hello, you could immediately tell Raymond is someone who is genuinely loved in the community. It didn't feel stuffy or overly serious. It felt like sitting around with good people, talking, laughing and drinking some really good wine. We started with a tasting and let's just say...the pours kept coming. There were several wines I really enjoyed, but the 100% Syrah was definitely one that stood out to me. We ended up buying a few bottles to take home, and by the time we finally got off those stools, we both knew an afternoon nap was calling our names. Almost seven years between visits and somehow the same great feeling. Indigené is officially one of our Paso stops now. Whenever we're back in town, we're stopping in to see Raymond. Good wine. Great people. Even better vibes.

We definitely put our steps in and earned our wine pours! We were treated with such grace for my tasting and my BFF had a beautiful glass of their bubbly. The beautiful soul that brought our wine delivered the story of each wine with passion! She even entertained my questions(brownie points! I'm full of questions!) as if she liked the challenge. She's a treasure! There's an unmistakable sense of warmth and community here. Even during the short time we spent there, a steady stream of people stopped in for a glass or simply to exchange greetings, which speaks volumes about how welcoming and inviting the atmosphere truly is. Hint: Find them in the alleyway...not from the street.

Staff were just sitting around chatting amongst themselves, not checking in on guests. Second, when they did have time to come by, they harassed me about my 2 year old and told us to keep an eye on her and made sure we were watching her. Our party had 7 adults and one child - and one of us were always with her (there's loose roosters running around, and droppings everywhere - it's not a space for unsupervised play). The wine was mediocre. The food options were terrible. Even if I didn't have a kid, I would skip - there are far better wineries, with better wine, staff, food, and prices. This place is not worth anyone's time.

The property is beautiful and full of charm, with roaming chickens and an adorable blue heeler that made the experience even more memorable. The woman who hosted our tasting was fantastic and really elevated the experience with her service (we unfortunately can't remember her name, but she works at Jada Winery). Overall, a wonderful stop--we'll definitely be back!

Beautiful property and vineyard where we learned of their love story, as well as, enjoyed tasting each wonderful wine that was offered that day (special mention to the delicious homemade sourdough and accompanying cheeses, which enhanced the experience). Such a relaxing and chill vibe, which we love! Looking forward to our next visit back! CHEERS and happy eating till next time...

Service was friendly, helpful, and proactive. I didn't like the one white wine I tried, but to be fair, I more came for the pizza and music. I would definitely come back for their next food and music event. Only real complaint was that the outdoor furniture, while beautiful, was rather uncomfortable. Accessibility: Mostly flat walk from where I parked on a gravel/dirt driveway. One handicapped parking spot where the walk is completely paved, but it was already taken. Much of their outdoor seating is low, but they have normal height chairs with arm rests around the side to the back. They have a big, very calm dog wandering about, which I loved, but I know other people are scared of dogs.

The tasting room itself is super unique and you can tell they really care about style and presentation. I loved the art throughout the space, and the labels are a perfect reflection of that personality. The wines are fantastic, especially for the price point. They aren't afraid to experiment with different winemaking methods or blend grapes together that I probably never would have thought to put together, and it makes for some really fun and unique wines. Everyone was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. I'm also a huge wine nerd and tend to ask a million nitty-gritty questions, and they were able to answer everything and actually have a great conversation about the wines.
