The salt and pepper crispy tofu is a standout with bold flavor and a satisfying crunch. The lemongrass tofu is well-seasoned and solid, and the mushroom-based chicken nuggets are honestly one of my favorite appetizers on the entire menu. The fried pancake rounds out the appetizer options nicely as well. On the rice dishes, there's plenty to love. My wife loves the shaking tofu fried rice and orders it every time we visit. The combo fried rice and shaking beef fried rice are both great choices, and the special pot rice is a comforting, satisfying option. The hardest part of dining here is choosing a favorite entrée. The grilled fish platter -- crafted from tofu and seaweed -- is a masterpiece. But it's in fierce competition with the fried chicken rice, made from mushrooms and exceptionally delicious in both flavor and texture. I genuinely can't pick just one. Whether you're a longtime vegan or simply someone who appreciates great food, Tuệ Tâm is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

For some reason, they have 1 item (egg roll) that is not vegan. 2. Service is full service style without full service quality. Would be a better setup if we could order at the counter and sit down because that's pretty much the level of service we received anyway, so just keep that in mind going into it. 3. It was pricier than expected. We spent $50 on the items shown here. I wouldn't say I was pleased with what we spent vs what we received. Overall, the food was a mixed bag.. the soup didn't have a ton of flavor despite it being one of their most popular dishes. The 'snails' were really interesting and I enjoyed them. For $20 I wouldn't get them again but they were fun to try. The steak dish was definitely the highlight. It was so good that my non vegan boyfriend bet me $1 it was real steak. It wasn't. Overall, I think it's worth a try but it's unlikely I'll be back anytime soon. Maybe to pick up the steak dish. Beside that, Trendy Vegan offers really good Asian cuisine at a more reasonable price point.

We only had time to come here for lunch so we got here a little before opening and there was already a line. As soon as the doors opened, the staff got us in immediately. You can tell they have this process down to a science. It all felt so efficient and quick. The inside looked like a traditional Japanese ramen spot so it was super cute and had a great vibe. As for the ramen itself, I was blown away. The broth was so rich but didn't taste overpowering at all. It had an amazing flavor with a lot of spice and earthiness. The noodles were a perfect amount of firm where it didn't get soggy and you were able to savor every bite. The takoyaki we got on the side was amazingly cooked as well. I cannot wait to come back which I will be doing again and again.

I still had to wait for the first wave of seating before getting in, and the setup definitely does not feel ideal for large groups. It is mostly two-tops with some bar seating for solo diners. They make their noodles on premise, which is a nice touch, and I ordered their signature ramen. It came with a rich, heavy broth and was topped with chicken, duck, and roasted pork. Honestly, the mix of meats felt a bit overkill, and while everything was well cooked, the duck stood out as the best component. The broth itself was very good but extremely thick, almost closer in texture to tsukemen-style ramen than a traditional broth-based bowl. The real highlight here was the noodles, which had excellent texture, and the perfectly jammy egg, which was spot on. Prices can get pretty high here, with some bowls reaching up to around 43 dollars. They also offer more experimental options like a matcha ramen, which is interesting and cool to see but not something I tried. It is first come, first serve with no reservations, so expect a wait. I am glad I tried it while in Houston, but for the price point and effort required just to get seated, this ramen landed as just okay for me overall. I have definitely had better. That said, the quality is clearly high, and the service was very friendly throughout. My friend ordered the garlic knockout ramen, which was insanely flavorful but completely dominated by garlic. It overpowered everything else in the bowl, to the point where it was hard to taste any other elements of the ramen.

Don't get this. Interesting concept to put matcha in, but I'm not a fan. No longer on menu as of April 2027

It's a grocery store that has a hot food section with dining and ready to go prepared foods. They also sell banh mis but I heard they've changed a bit. They used to have a tofu and mushroom one that was so perfection. Big pieces of tofu and mushrooms marinated in this delicious sauce. Now I heard they use a tofu and mushroom loaf that is made in house. They also have noodle soups and Vietnamese dishes (com tam, vermicelli noodles, etc) but I go for the deli style lunch box. For $11.75 you get a choice of rice (I've seen brown and purple) or noodles (I always get the noods) plus 3 choices. And a small veggie soup. The lunch box options rotate, there are some items that they have more often. I always get their green beans and I try their various tofu options. Recently they had an eggplant stir fry and it was delicious. There is also an ala carte section that has dim sum items. I love their turnip cake (law bak go). One order comes with 3 pieces and a soy sauce and a chili oil ($5.50). The grocery store has expanded and sells pantry items (noodles, rice, sauces, snacks, etc) as well as fruits and veggies and frozen items (fake meat items). If you are a vegetarian or just need a break, def try this spot. You won't regret it.

Heartbeet is part of Hungry's, but is a separate place meant for their plant-based menu. I was hungry, but also didn't want anything heavy like a veggie burger and fries. The one guy working that afternoon was very helpful and was able to make a nice, fresh side salad with a vinaigrette to substitute the fries that would have come with my veggie "cheesesteak". It took a while to prepare, but everything was indeed fresh! I feel like there was more bread than there was filling, but the filling was delicious, even if it was mostly mushroom. The ambiance was beautiful too! Wide open windows helped bring in a lot of natural light. My meal was about $20 with tip, so quite affordable too given the quality and when compared to other similar establishments.

I've been here twice over the last 2 months for dinner. It's located adjacent to Hungry's…read morerestaurant and you can order from either menu while dining in Heartbeet. The difference is that Heartbeet is vegan and Hungry's isn't. Heartbeat has an attractive interior with large windows and also offers outside patio dining too. Parking is all around the building with most of the space in the rear. My first visit was to order the wild mushroom and arugula pizza for $14. It had mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, marinara, cashew queso and of course arugula. That pizza was a 5. Excellent in every way including complete deliciousness. I loved it and it made me want to return. The second visit was to see if this restaurant was really that good so I went with a handheld, the Philly Cheesesteak w/fries for $15. This sando was on ciabatta bread with onions and red and green bell peppers, mushrooms and cashew queso with aioli and it disappointed me tremendously and I gave it a 2. Why? The menu also said it came with herb sautéed seitan which is suppose to be the "steak" part but it wasn't there. The waitress told us that it had been deleted from the sandwich for some reason. Therefore it really wasn't a Philly cheesesteak. The bread with onions, peppers, mushroom and sauces just didn't cut it. Remember the old Wendy's commercial? Where's the Beef?" The fries were very good being hand cut and sprinkled with Cajun dust but the meal overall was a fail (1.5). It just wasn't any good because of the sandwich. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it. I give a 3 overall. One dish rocked while the other one failed.
