Went for a night out with friends. Had a great time! Music was solid, we were able to dance. Spacing was great, although it was busy we weren't too crammed up. The drinks were definitely drinking(they pour them well). The patio is somewhat small, but enough room if you just want to catch some air. It's a good spot to go hang & dance. I'm a big Pitbull fan, so maybe next time I'll hear a song thrown on lol. There's a parking garage not far too.

Divey bars are full of charm and the one with strong inexpensive drinks definitely has it. Now one of the last bars on the Santa Monica Blvd all-inclusive bar crawl train, Trunks is the chill easy going, often seat filled yet easy to maneuver experience you need. The music is solid, the people are chatty and the bartenders are attentive. The have a front patio attached to the bar as well as one directly across it off the sidewalk before the main entrance with security. You can bring your outside drinks over to this area, but nowhere beyond. There is a dance floor that usually gets a little busy at night as opposed to during the afternoon and day. They show mostly sports or sporting events during the day on the many TVs they have here much like Gym Bar, now on the middle half of the gay bar scene (closer to Hi Tops and across from Beaches, Rocco's etc). Restrooms deep in the back with wall bench seating all along the right wall of the bar. It's a very mixed crowd though nostalgic to an older generation for sure. If you enjoy the comforts of dive chic then march your feet to the beat of this establishment during the week (or weekend). Trunks has the occasional event, usually during a holiday weekend and always the best prices around. Including happy hour from 1 - 8 pm during the weekdays.

Great little bar off of Santa Monica Blvd that has a no-frills happy hour from 1-8PM, Monday through Friday. What I loved was that there was a lot of outdoor seating, so regardless of your comfort level, you could still find an area that was far away from everyone while still being able to take in all magic that WeHo has around you, and still be able to social distance at the same time. There were quite a few people on a Tuesday afternoon, but our bartender Alexander was bopping around the whole place making sure that orders were being taken and drinks were being served. I went with his recommendation for the Trunks Mule which definitely hit the spot. Served in a copper cup, it wasn't super strong, but you could feel it, and it was quite refreshing on a muggy afternoon. First cocktail out since the pandemic and it didn't disappoint. I'll for sure be back for some coworking and just enjoying the outdoors again soon!

Mellow and laidback bar type of place. Definitely with the crowd that goes there as observed after a few visits within this last year. They do play some mainstream music as well as remixes of mainstream music. Their bartenders tend to dress dark clothing/garment and occasionally will go shirtless as the night progresses.

The strongest drink on the menu and you'll be making your confessions to friends and strangers alike in no-time. The sweetness masks the potency of this drink. Lightweights, beware! La Pina Grande: Mezcal, grenadine, pineapple juice, lime juice, and bitters. Not the strongest drink on the menu, but a fruity, tasty cocktail nonetheless. They took everyone's orders without a hitch, and the food came out fast, which is impressive with a group that big. The performers were fabulous!! amazing energy, stunning outfits, and so much sparkle. Since I had no idea what I was walking into, I came totally unprepared. My one regret was not bringing a stack of dollar bills. Definitely bring cash if you're coming for the drag brunch, tip the queens!! They did have their Venmo info up so I tipped through there but it just wasn't as fun as having cash out when they danced by. I ordered the skinny bitch margarita and the coconut shrimp. The margarita was solid, but I wouldn't recommend the coconut shrimp. It was soggy, greasy, and honestly not great. Thankfully, everything else about the experience more than made up for it. Some tips: - Bring cash to tip the drag performers - If you get a cocktail in the high-heel shoe cup, you can bring it to Mickys afterward for discounted refills which we did, and it was an absolute blast - they charged us $13.50 admission per person at the end Overall, such a fun experience. Also got the Gin and Tonic for $20, plus $6 for an extra shot of Gin. Tasted like any other Gin and Tonic. Was disappointed our drinks were mostly ice. We shared a Kobe Burger with French Fries for $27.50. Decided to not add cheese for $2 or do any of the upgrades for the sides. There is an upcharge of $1.99 do split plate, but it includes an extra side dish. They gave us the option to have the patty Medium or Well Done. We opted for Medium. Felt the Kobe Burger was alright, nothing special. The French Fries were too salty. Jerry said it wasn't salty at all, but we disagreed. We saw one Drag Queen the entire time. He was calling out the Bingo numbers. It was fun to throw the Bingo paper at the winners. Overall, it was a fun event. Would return for the cause, not the food.

It was somewhat busy but nothing compared to how this place can be. Especially when there's an event. Drinks are always a good price. We got a pitcher of beer which had a cooling pack inside.
