The food has always been solid, and most recently the beef nachos were the prettiest nachos I've ever seen and really delicious. The bartenders always have good vibes and are fun to hang out with. It's super dark and laid-back and historic and I can almost always find parking on the street nearby, so this is a standby for me.

Happy Hour, Monday through Saturday - 4 to 8PM on the main weekdays (M-TH) and from 3 to 7PM (Fri, Sat). Great music! Great for watching sports! Open at 3PM Monday through Friday and as early as 1PM on Saturday and Sunday. Like most spots in the Rainbow District, aka that 1-mile super stretch of Santa Monica Blvd and 50+ LGBTQ+-owned businesses, bars and restaurants - you can enjoy Schmitty's until 2:00AM daily. Last call at 1:30AM. Gender-neutral restrooms. Parking garages close by (including off of Hancock Ave - the corner of Schmitty's) as well as street parking, but rideshare is much smoother.

DJ Tony G drop keep dropping those beats!!! And they show music videos on their screens. Mother Lode is the oldest operating gay bar in West Hollywood, serving up the LGBTQ+ community and all since 1979. And after nearly 50 years of success they continue to thrive 7 days a week from 3PM until 2AM It's all about the good vibes and good times... Some themed nights like their Bubble Pop, Caballero (no recordings or videos, just you) and Flashback Mondays. I don't believe they still have karaoke nights here, I could be wrong. Very limited seating with a chair here or there and some benches against the upper deck. Restrooms are gendered but move pretty quickly and are typically still clean. While WeHo is all forms of pup friendly. Our four legged friends aren't allowed for many reasons. There's absolutely zero room on busy nights and we wouldn't want them to hurt themselves or get hurt navigating through the day/afternoon or night here. Local street, garage and some lot parking available in the area, mostly metered, time restricted or paid, especially at night.
