    Friday night
    Gabe D.

The bayou is a hole-in-the wall bar in West Hollywood. It has the most fun vibe of all the bars in the rainbow district. What it is missing is the pretentiousness of the other mega clubs of the area. It's definitely a bar you don't want to miss if you're visiting from out of town. They have slushies infused with alcohol, beer bongs, Jell-O shot syringes, and a spin the wheel for a drink! And their happy hours are unbeatable. The bathrooms walls are plastered with memes, photos of Britney Spears, Ryan gosling, and others. And when you're visiting they will give you fluorescent paint pens to leave your signature on the wall of the bar! Also, they ask that you "Please don't do coke in the bathroom." Also, there's a dj on Fridays and Saturdays playing an eclectic mix of Beyoncé, Madonna, Taylor swift, Lana del Rey, Lizzo, katy Perry, cardi b, megan d stallion, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, lady Gaga, and many other pop/rap/house hits. The manager's name is Graham and he's a really friendly and comes and talks to all the guests and the bar tenders are all great too. If you're visiting WEHO, do not skip The Bayou.

Very cute hole in the wall bar. Not as packed as the other bars on a Sunday but nice for just a chill place to drink with friends. Very nice staff. Will be coming back next time I'm in town. They didn't put any sauce on the buffalo cauliflower but were nice enough to bring some after I asked . Kinda vinegar like sauce but wasn't terrible . Make sure to come 4-8pm for half off happy hour great deal. A lot of food. Overall great experience.

A small bar with graffiti everywhere. It's kinda cool by all the color and lights. Drinks are pretty cheap here especially happy hours. For the price you get、it's pretty decent and not over priced. Drinks comes out pretty fast as well. Restrooms are not the best. I think it was shared and it smells terrible. But it's a fast bar with cheap drinks、can't expect much. Service on that slow night is meh but at least the drink kinda makes you feel better. Overall 、it's an ok place with good drinks and affordable price. Definitely recommend here if you're looking for some fast/cheap drinks. Great for hangout and getting some drinks to start your night before clubbing. The price here is better than the $14+ drinks everywhere else Haha. Personally felt it's good to come here to start your night before heading elsewhere at WeHo. Just make sure to drink responsibly~ Feel free to check it out.

    Chicken nuggets

Came here with two friends on a Friday night around 7:30PM (during their happy hour). I ordered the Cajun tator tots and the chicken nuggets. A friend ordered the chicken wings, so I got to try those too. The food was decent but nothing really stood out to me. I had the jungle juice for a drink. It wasn't too strong (which is good) and tasted good. As far as the bar itself, it's super small and darkly colored/designed. The bartender was nice. Even though there was nothing bad about my experience I don't quite understand the 4 1/2 star rating. Maybe it's because the drinks are cheaper here than at the surrounding bars(?), but I didn't feel like there was anything particularly special that would make me want to come back. Everything was just ok.

It's a beautiful venue with gothic accents and a lovely patio that is perfect for chilling on a sunny day. The food here is good, especially the drool worthy desserts, and you're guaranteed to have fun at Drag Brunch. They also have great DJ's that spin some delectable tunes that will make you wanna shake that groove thang. The Abbey is still a happening place. They took everyone's orders without a hitch, and the food came out fast, which is impressive with a group that big. The performers were fabulous!! amazing energy, stunning outfits, and so much sparkle. Since I had no idea what I was walking into, I came totally unprepared. My one regret was not bringing a stack of dollar bills. Definitely bring cash if you're coming for the drag brunch, tip the queens!! They did have their Venmo info up so I tipped through there but it just wasn't as fun as having cash out when they danced by. I ordered the skinny bitch margarita and the coconut shrimp. The margarita was solid, but I wouldn't recommend the coconut shrimp. It was soggy, greasy, and honestly not great. Thankfully, everything else about the experience more than made up for it. Some tips: - Bring cash to tip the drag performers - If you get a cocktail in the high-heel shoe cup, you can bring it to Mickys afterward for discounted refills which we did, and it was an absolute blast - they charged us $13.50 admission per person at the end Overall, such a fun experience. Would definitely go back (with cash next time).

Also got the Gin and Tonic for $20, plus $6 for an extra shot of Gin. Tasted like any other Gin and Tonic. Was disappointed our drinks were mostly ice. We shared a Kobe Burger with French Fries for $27.50. Decided to not add cheese for $2 or do any of the upgrades for the sides. There is an upcharge of $1.99 do split plate, but it includes an extra side dish. They gave us the option to have the patty Medium or Well Done. We opted for Medium. Felt the Kobe Burger was alright, nothing special. The French Fries were too salty. Jerry said it wasn't salty at all, but we disagreed. We saw one Drag Queen the entire time. He was calling out the Bingo numbers. It was fun to throw the Bingo paper at the winners. Overall, it was a fun event. Would return for the cause, not the food.
