I'm afraid to give this place the review it deserves because then I won't be able to get a table when I want! Seriously delicious. Great menu. Cute ambiance. The sweetest and most patient wait staff. And the owner/chef knows his stuff! Pretty sure we ordered half the menu and can't wait to go back to try the rest! read more

This place is almost there. It tries to be like black trumpet in HB but doesn't quite have the vibe yet. The menu has all the right items but lacks the gusto you hope to expect from ordering small plates. Cheese and cured meat platters are my go-to when I am enjoying my pre-dinner glass of vino but the assortment of cheese and meats lacks the compliment to each other. To me this leaves the diner a overall disappointing pallate leading into the meal. The meal, tapas, small.bites or whatever you call it, was totally forgetable but edible. To me, just not spectacular. The ambiance is what you come here for. A nice quiet dinner with your desired companion. The mood is set quite right for those not there for the food, but here for the quiet romantic night out. Service was attentive and on par. This place is going to work for those 20-something year olds who are interested into getting into tapas style dining. All its just missing the right artisan chef to take over and transform this place to a true gem of a dining experience. Until then...je te verrai dans mes rêves! read more

We had a wonderful dinner here! My boyfriend and I tried a few of the empanadas to share and we really enjoyed them all. The Brussel sprouts with chorizo, calamari, and empanadas were great. We had great service and looking forward to returning. read more

Went to Truffle Bistro for the second time last night, they have a good selection to tapa style appetizer if you don't feel eating a large meal with wine or beer. Had rack of lamb and it was just cooked to perfection it was so juicy and just melts in your mouth. Last week I had lamb shank that was tender with full of flavors. Great selection of wine not to mention 4 different beer on tap and imported beer on bottles. Great food and service! read more

We really tried to like it and support new business. Staff was friendly but the food was bland, fish over cooked. We had 5 people and no one really thought it was good. Chef also went table to table saying hi but skipped ours for some reason. Maybe he knew he messed up. Unfortunate this place probably won't last. Oh ya... where were the truffles?? I think 1 dish had them and it was fries but those too were over cooked. Maybe a new chef could get this place on track. Good location and Name just needs a good menu. At least I tied white rice with raisins, that was interesting. read more

This is a delightful, small cafe featuring a wide range of delicious food - Greek/Mediterranean, Spanish, Italian and good old American too. The bistro specializes in tapas, or small plates, that can make an excellent dinner choice for smaller appetites, or a tasty sharing experience with friends. Good selection of wines can satisfy any taste. They are also open for lunch. read more

This place just opened up down the street from my place so I really wanted to check it out. Glad I did! It was so cute and modern inside, the food was all yummy! Its something new and different in the area for sure. I'll definitely go back with friends to share their tapas read more

We have eaten here twice already within one week because of the delicious food. We had the stuffed mushrooms, calamari, and ahi for appetizers and they were just perfect. For dinner we had lamb shank & chicken souvlaki. The prices are extremely fair and definitely a regular spot for us now. The owner was friendly and staff was great. Very clean and new. So happy to have this place open. Just wish they would open for lunch too. read more

Went to the new Truffle Bistro today.. Amazing! I was so pleased with the food, the service and loved the menu assortment. Must try the truffle garlic fries! We are so pleased to have another quality place to dine in Orange. Plenty of parking too! The owner Henry was kind and knows the restaurant business. Reasonable prices and quality food. If you are looking for a great place to relax and have a very good meal you must try the new Truffle Bistro on Tustin St in Orange. read more

Fantastic new restaurant in our neighborhood. Food and service has been great the 4 times I've been there. Prices are great. After reading the negative reviews I've come to conclusion. People who choose to give one star reviews only do that because they didn't get their way! read more

Driving down Tustin and noticed a new restaurant and thought we would give it a try. Walked in and was given the warmest welcome from the owner Henry and his wife Telma. We sat down and ordered some tapas. Ordered stuffed mushrooms which I highly recommend as well as the lamb chop and tried Garbanzo beans Salad which was very very good. Henry would check in on us from time to time. I ordered the Lamb Shank and was not surprised on how good it was after tasting the tapas. Also a very good wine selection to choose from. The way everyone treated us there, made us feel as we were part of the family. Thank you so much Henry and Telma. We will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu. read more

What a lovely evening! The food was fantastic and Antonio's service was excellent. Cute patio. We loved the butternut squash ravioli, gnocchi, stuffed mushrooms, wings, and chicken piccata were fantastic. The truffle fries were a must have. Cannoli was SO good! A fantastic dinner spot! So happy to find this gem in Orange. read more

This restaurant is so new and we were on our way to a another old favorite nearby and we decided to stop and take a look. We walked by and the place was empty so we were a little worried. They started us off with soft pita bread and some olive oil for dipping. Excellent! We decided to give this place a chance so we ordered One meal, shrimp Souvlaki and Tapas, all to share, like the lamb meatball, spicy shrimp tacos, Spanakopita, and the Caprese salad. All food served was really fresh, tasty, and excellently prepared. Prices were reasonable too. Perfect! There is nothing like this close and I can tell this place won't be empty for long! Cheers for our new "favorite place"! read more

Food was pretty delicious! Docked a few stars for the slow and inefficient service. Also, the ambience wasn't great (located in a strip mall, inside the tables are so close together there is no privacy). If you like tapas, it's worth a try, though. read more

I absolutely love this gem of a restaurant that takes me back to my visit to Spain. The ambiance of the intimate place is comfortable and makes me feel like I have my own personal chef since everything is made to order. You can see the Chef make the dishes, I appreciate the hard work and love that he had for his work. The tapas are amazing, all that I have tried are delicious. There are many tapas to choose from, my personal favorite is the Arancini. The wine selection is spectacular, the Tempranillo and Spanish Red Blend went well with the lamb as well as the arancini's. Dessert choices included a number of cakes, we went with the lemon cake which was also delicious. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I look forward to trying the entrees followed by the coconut raspberry cake. read more

We found Truffles Bistro last year for my husband's birthday. We returned for my mom's, mine, and our anniversary. Truffles is the best restaurant we've been in in a long while. Exquisite food, great service, extensive menu. We enjoyed the small plates, sharing tapas that ranged from octopus to you name it, entrees and paella. Even my gourmand husband who has been known to say, "we're going to that restaurant? we went there twice last year" wants to go back. The chef owner came out to our table each time regardless of how busy the place was and was very attentive. Can't wait to go back! read more

Cute place with excellent tapas. Great for a girls night or a date. It's located in an unassuming strip mall; don't be fooled. The food is a great culmination of the Mediterranean read more

Very good tapas! Nice to have a gourmet, authentic European bistro in OC. Prices are reasonable and Italian wines by the glass are very good and priced well. Unpretentious and genuine crafted dishes. read more

Truffle Bistro has become our 'go-to' restaurant and one where we love to take friends. We initially just stumbled on it and have never looked back. The food is consistently terrific (we mainly order from the tapas menu), portions exactly right for two to share a variety, always a surprise or two with the tapas of the day and a very nice wine selection. The wait staff Avi, Tony and Catania are efficient and very personable, chef Henry always has a second to say hello, even when he is very busy with a full house. Highly recommend for a fun evening out. CindyJ read more

Excellent dining! I loved the fried cauliflower and lamb empanadas! Will definitely return!

This place is absolutely lovely and all of the food was very good. It is a small place and there was only one chef and waiter but it's charming. We ordered quite a few small dishes and they came out one after the other instead of all at the same time which was nice. Definitely a cute date night place and the portions are pretty big for the price. I recommend the crem brûlée which is a delicious lemon flavor. read more

Tried this local restaurant a week ago, it was fabulous! The menu is so appetizing with unique dishes that just aren't offered around Orange. Had a fabulous 1/2 bottle of wine called Montepulciano d'Abruzzo dal Tralcetto. It was so good my friend and I ordered another one. She had the Spanish stew and loved it, the broth was so good. We shared the Brussel Sprouts which were also great. I wasn't super hungry which I wish I had been so I just had the mussels and clams in wine sauce. Love the Tapas section of the menu. I believe this place will do great, the owner has owned multiple restaurants and knows what he's doing (he's the chef!). The only downfall is once the community tries it, there'll probably be a wait to get in. read more

We visited while on vacation. The food was amazing! I highly recommend the fried cauliflower. Great atmosphere and exceptional service. I highly recommend this place!!!! read more

This is a great new neighborhood/local restaurant with some very nice tapas and full plate meals. My wife and I enjoyed a nice tapas and wine happy hour/dinner and we really enjoyed the Lamb Meatball w/ excellent marinara and also liked the fried cauliflower which came with a spicy sauce. The great thing about the cauliflower is that it is not too greasy or unhealthy but has full flavor. We also tried the fried calamari which breaded but is nice and light and includes the addition of fried pepperoncini which helps make this a great dish. The wine selection is by the glass or bottle and the prices are good for the selection and size of the pours. Chef owner Henry also came out to our table and others to greet his guests and see how everyone was doing. Also, save room for the Tiramisu (house made) for dessert as it is among the best I have ever tasted...and I love Tiramisu so much we had it as our wedding rehearsal dinner dessert. Definitely worth trying this little gem in Orange and always great to dine at a restaurant where the owner is a skilled chef as you know you will get a great meal. We will be back. :) read more

My first visit here and definitely not my last. This place is an absolute gem! The three of us shared a bottle of wine and ordered tapas until we were full. The lamb meatballs are perfect. The cheese and cured meat plate is perfect, especially the onion cheese! It's like butter. We had the garlic truffle fries, two plates of wings, fried cauliflower, and more! Service is impeccable! Next time we're sitting at the counter to watch the chef/owner do his magic. read more

We love this restaurant. I came here with my husband the week our kids were at camp. We were going to try a different restaurant each night they were away, but ended up eating here three times and again when they returned. The ambiance is great. The tapas are the best. Yummm! Just tried this place for the first time tonight with my mom. The service was amazing. Tony was our server and super awesome. He had great recommendations and was very attentive. The stuffed mushrooms were my favorite and whatever sauce is served with them should be dumped over everything. I was even dragging my truffle fries in that sauce (they need to serve that sauce for dipping the truffle fries in as well..just my opinion!) super cozy ambiance. I can't wait to come back here and try the salads and other menu options! Oh! And the orange chocolate whatever dessert thingy!! Whoah! read more

We are always looking for really good restaurants in the Tustin/Orange area since we eat out every Sunday evening. We heard about the Truffle Bistro from friends, and we were so glad we went. We ordered drinks, appetizers, salads and entrees and all four of us loved our food, which is rare. The Chef and Owner, Henry knows what he is doing. We went a second time a week later because it was so good. Not only is the food delicious, the servers have been awesome and the drinks and wine are really good too. Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Really super good! Brought the fam in for a quick dinner, The interior was very stylish and comfortable. All the staff were wonderful, warm and friendly.
