Mike, the owner, is great. Honest quote on replacement TRANE AC syste. Showed up as scheduled, completed removal of old system and installed new TRANE in one day, 8 AM done at 5 PM. No surprises. I highly recommend True North Air Conditioning. read more

Easy company to work with. Great customer service. Friendly employees. My service technician was very nice and felt he was honest. I really liked he didn't try to sell me things I didn't need to make a quick buck. I will use the again for my AC needs. read more

Most of you that have read my post know I got a new HVAC and new thermostat. But what I didn't tell you is that several days after installing them, my thermostat quit. I called the people who sold them to me (True North) and they sent a man out that very day to look at it. They checked out the new Trane and said that was ok and surmised that it must be the old wiring connecting to the thermostat. They replaced the thermostat with a temporary one so I could get heat and made an appointment for today to replace the wiring. They were here bright and early. One guy had to crawl through my attic to get to it as I only have a crawl space and the thermostat is at the other end of the house. I really felt sorry for him. But they replaced the wiring and put back on another new one like I had and there was no charge. This is just another example of a company that puts service ahead of price. I got several quotes from other companies before buying from (True North) and they gave me the best price on this 5 seer2, two stage HVAC. One company wanted $1,300.00 more for the same model. Besides being cheaper, (True North) also gave me the best warranty. I got 10 year on parts, 3 years on labor and1 year on service. Also if you look up the company on Yelp you'll see they have a five star rating. So if you live in the Valley, especially on the East side, and thinking of buying or having your HVAC serviced, you'd be crazy not to check them out. They are unlike any company I have ever dealt with before. read more

My a/c went out Saturday night Called Sunday morning out at 0800! Just a type of fuse in the furnace. $275.00 I could've been charged for a new unit and wouldn't have known. Johnny is very professional and polite. I trust Him!!! read more

I'm going to give this company a five star rating for handling my emergency service call after hours. I called them a 3pm requesting for emergency service call for my home AC repair. They showed up at 645pm, They responded after another AC company gave me crappy service. Johnny was awesome and got my unit back on in 10 mins. I appreciated their after hour rush service call. Thank you read more

Quick service and responsive. Johnny the technician was very skilled and explained the situation. Definitely would recommend read more

Well, all the 5 star reviews are certainly accurate. I phoned to Tristan to make an appointment and she asked if today was ok. Are you kidding! That almost never happens. Josh came by promptly to inspect and test our HVAC system and to install an Ecobee smart thermostat. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. He also carefully cleaned up any drywall particles. I highly recommend True North. read more

I had a friend recommend True North for my annual servicing of the all important air conditioning system as we head into the summer months that AZ is infamous for. I requested a quote through yelp and John was extremely quick to respond and was able to send out tech Johnny the next day. Johnny was so nice and answered all my questions in detail as he examined and cleaned Slater (yes, I named my AC unit Slater...you know you watched the show...don't deny it ). True North will be my go to for all my air conditioning needs! read more

I guess if replacing a $30 part on a heat pump is worth $300 to you, you're going to be delighted with this company. I'm not.

Had to call true north again after a month or less since AC broke again for some reason. Lady on the phone told me yesterday it would be 10-12 today and I called today around 12 she said it will be 12-2 as she said yesterday, I said I'm pretty sure she said 10-12 today. She said "I'm not saying you're a liar but I did say 12-2" I said "it's really not a big deal nothing to do with liar or whatever but you did say 10-12 for today" I'm pretty furious at this point since I've been staying in this house for two days with no AC when it's been over 110 degrees outside. I clearly remember on the phone yesterday she said 12-2 at first and then found a slot at 10-12 so she said they can do 10-12, now I wish I had that on tape. I'm a flight attendant so I deal with hundreds of customers daily and I'd never say to the passenger onboard "I'm not saying you're a liar blah blah blah" what a horrible attitude when I'm just trying to get a ETA of the technician. My mood is completely ruined for the day.. when a passenger asks me for water during the chaotic boarding process "hey can I get a water I need to take a pill" I wouldn't say "I'm not saying you're a liar but pretty sure you're not gonna take a pill" it's overall a customer service job why so rude? Why? What's the point? So now I'm patiently yet furiously waiting for the technician to show up. Nothing to do with technician but I just wish I didn't call at all. read more

Our AC went out late Friday night. First thing Saturday morning we called Tru North. Steve was out within two hours after finishing his first call of the weekend. He went right to work on our HVAC unit. When he noticed the age of the unit he said the part might be under warranty, which it was. And, he had a replacement part in his truck. 15 minutes after he arrived, the part was replaced under warranty. We paid the service call and are now enjoying the cold air of a Valley summer (inside). Great work, reasonable price, and super fast response time. Thanks, Steve!!! Telling everyone I know about your great service and valuable knowledge/information for your customers. read more

After using multiple large companies and a few small ones, I put a request on Yelp and these guys seemed to be the most honest, giving me a price for service and promising no cheesy upsells. They came out within a couple of days to complete yearly maintenance on my units and showed up within the time frame promised, and we're very courteous. The technician was professional and told me everything was running great, cleaned my units and left everything better than how it was found. I will be using True North from now on and recommending them to all of my friends and colleagues in the industry. Great company to work with and very fairly priced without all the updelling of service and yearly plans! read more

They were professional and eager to help. 100% recommended, very reliable! I will definitely use them again!

My 25 year old Trane split unit finally went out. That's a pretty good run! I received several quotes from different HVAC installers and went with True North for three main reasons 1. Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful on the phone and the guy who came out to perform the quote was the same caliber knowledgeable and helpful. 2. The price didn't automatically assume financing. Every other quote came in a lot more money because they all had built in finance charges. When I asked about it, the competitors were quick to point out the price I was quoted was a financed out the door price and it would be cheaper if I didn't finance, but none were forthcoming about that and none offered up a non-finance quote without expressly asking about it, except for True North. True North uses a third party loan system called Hearth and that was super easy to navigate and get financing that ended up being about third of what the competitors were automatically building into their quotes. 3. True North was the only company to realize I had a brand new Ecobee thermostat and gave me the option to keep that and not tack another $300 on to the quote for a not as cool thermostat. On the install day, the crew was on-time, super respectful, and Isaac seemed a genuinely good and funny dude! My system works great now and the install job looks clean. I highly recommend these guys to walk you through one of the scarier things you'll go through as a home owner! read more

Super responsive, was able to find the problem right away and get it fixed for me. Even vacuumed up the insulation that fell out of the crawl space. read more

Our A/C went out while it was still hot, so it wasn't ideal timing. I called a few places to get some quotes and decided to go with True North based on their great reviews and their competitive pricing. Mike (the owner) was a pleasure to work with and was able to get us on the schedule in two days! Our installers, Ronnie, Drake and Micah were polite, knowledgeable and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Our new system is up and running and we are very satisfied with the results. No more hot spots in the house and it's so much quieter. Mike did all the paperwork for us for the SRP credit and the trane warranty. Will definitely be using them for service as well. Bonus..it always feels good supporting a smaller company. read more

Fixed my technical problem without trying to upsell everything. Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. Will use in the future

Excellent customer service! A fair and honest assessment and installation of part we needed to get cool...also a locally owned and family business. Thank you True North! read more

I had True North do some Air Conditioning work for me last year and although he could not completely fix the problem (as the system was beyond repair), he was fair with me. Because of that, I trusted him to install a new A/C system. His price to install a brand new system was once again fair and blew away some of the bigger name competition (beware not to pay for a company's TV advertising budget). They showed up on time and completed the work just as promised. Mike has earned my trust and would use him again. read more

We had Johnny from True North replace our blower motor for our AC. He was professional and helpful. Compared to the quotes we got from other companies, True North were the most reasonable and didn't upsell us. We appreciate how they didn't pressurize us to replace the entire unit just because it's old. Definitely recommend True North for any AC problems. read more

Charged $1200 to replace a blower motor. Provided a receipt with no breakdown on labor or part, just $1200. Seemed a little high, but needed ac fixed. Very prompt and professional. Actually received a follow up call to explain pricing and to explain part replaced is still under warranty. Very impressed with service. read more

Mike and his crew were awesome! Mike was super prompt, coming out for a quote next day and squeezing us in on a Monday holiday the following week to install our mini split. We got four quotes total for this project and Mike's was not only the best price but also provided the best electrical solution without requiring a separate electrician (as we were told we needed by others). We had kids and dogs running around, and Mike's crew was respectful and super accommodating. The final product is just as expected. I couldn't recommend more highly! read more

Had an issue with my 20 year old AC at 10pm on a Friday night. Mike immediately responded to my request and had his service tech - Johnny the following morning. The AC had a leak which was temporarily repaired. We decided it was time to replace the entire system. Worked with Johnny on scheduling the installation and he immediately responded to every text! We ended up having the unit installed on a Saturday... unheard of in my past experiences! Mike sent out Mica and and another gentleman (forgot his name) had a dark beard and very professional! These 2 guys worked the entire day with no complaints or excuses. Had a brand new TRANE AC system installed and running by 3:30pm! The job site was clean and organized throughout the day. I thought for sure that I'd find debris or a even wire nut laying around somewhere - but couldn't. If you want the job done right with no BS, please call Mike and his team! read more

I've had my AC unit tuned up by a few companies over the years, but none of them has done a more thorough job than Brent with True North! He was on time, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He even managed to troubleshoot a problem I was having with my furnace. Highly recommend and this will be the only company I use going forward. read more

I used to North recently and their technician Johnny who did a terrific job for me I want I love you beyond to help me. He is the best!

Had both our units serviced within a day at a lower price than originally quoted. Respect

One pleased customer!! Needed help with my home A.C and as soon as I made the call, service had arrived within 30 minutes!!! Not only were they fast getting to me but very friendly, very reasonable and very professional..Micheal was very thorough in explaining what the problem was, and even gave me tips and suggestions in regards to my A.C in order to keep it running sufficiently.. I will definitely be using them again!!! read more

We needed to replace our 30 year old AC and actually got estimates from 5 different companies. True North offered the best deal and didn't charge extra for things like upgrading some ductwork. Mike was always quick to respond to phone calls or text messages and the team that installed was professional and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. We're very happy with our experience and will continue to use True North going forward. read more

Where super fast to respond! Was able to fix the issue and took great care of us. Highly recommend

Mike was very honest, he worked hard, carefully, and quickly. He came into the middle of a project that another company botched and he was able to assess the situation, guide me on the best steps moving forward, and execute the work in a timely manner since I was working on a tight clock due to the damage I had. The work was started and finished much faster than I thought it would be given the size of the project, and my house has been feeling great ever since. He even cleaned up after!! I'll definitely have True North back out to finish up the rest of the work that (thankfully, for my wallet) can wait for later. read more

Our technician was awesome, super quick and on-time. Would definitely recommend!

Even though it was late at night, Johnny showed up right on time, after what must have been a long day working in the heat. Nonetheless, he was cheerful, informative, and wore his mask the entire time he was at the property. The diagnosis was logical and straight forward. The price was exactly what was quoted. I even asked him to quote some additional work that was on my mind. We'll be certain to use True North Air Conditioning again. read more

The owner Mike is prompt, courteous, quick to fix the problem, explained everything and has very honest prices. I couldn't be happier with the service. I recommend True North. read more

I was looking for a new service provider for my A/C unit and True North was recommended to me by my son. My son used them for some work and he was very happy with their work. I was also impressed with their quality of work and will continue using them. I felt the serviceman was honest and gave me quite a bit of information about my unit. He arrived when he said he would and was pleasant to work with. I would recommend this company to others without any reservation. read more

Johnny was great, professional, arrived on time and was very friendly. Equally important we got various quotes from other companies and they were the most reasonable, honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend this company and if you're lucky enough to great Johnny I'm confident you won't consider doing business with anyone else. read more

Johnny gave me piece of mind. He told me everything he would do and communicated every step of the way. He wiped his feet any time he came into my home and treated my sanctuary with respect. I have yet to find anyone like him in the AC industry and I will always call him first. Thank you Yelp for helping me find this diamond in the rough. Solid guy and solid work ethic. Honestly, I'm not related or affiliated; this is truly my experience of him and he does a phenomenal job. Highly recommended! read more

Highly recommend. I knew I had either a bad capacitor or fan motor. I called other companies to get a ball park price and they wouldn't give me one. I spoke to mike on the phone and he gave me price ranges on different scenarios. They sent a tech (Johnny) to fix the problem. They installed a brand new motor in no time. The price was way cheaper than i anticipated. Glad I called these guys instead of some large expensive ac company. Thank you Johnny for a solid job. read more
