Bo is the man and I can tell he is passionate about his work. You barely can find honest people these day but Bo is as honest as they come. He educated me on what he looks for and how he looks for it inside the pool. The first pool leak detector I've seen get inside the pool with underwater gear and test everything for leaks. I had a new pool built about 10 months ago and have had to fill up pool weekly with water so I knew something was wrong. The company that built our pool sent out their leak detection crew but I don't believe they did a thorough job and I decided to get a 2nd opinion from Tru Blue Leak detectors and glad Bo showed up because he found all kinds of stuff wrong. Bo is the man and highly recommend Tru Blue Leak detectors if you want the truth! read more

Writing this review a little late but want to comment how appreciative we are of True Blue. Our pool was leaking in February and they worked with us urgently to find the leak to avoid potential equipment/pool structure damage before an upcoming freeze. Communication was great and we really appreciated the honesty and hard work in cold weather conditions. read more

True Blue did a great job in fixing my leak. Bo was very knowledgeable and professional, and the job was done quickly and efficiently. I'll be calling True Blue the next time I have any leak issues. read more

I have had several leaks in my 33 year old pool over the years, that I have had repaired. This one particular slow leak could not be found by three different leak detection companies in the D/FW area. They did not want to take the time and effort to find this leak. Ryan would not give up. He and his helpers came out 4 different times and finally found the leak hiding inside the pool light niche. I actually heated the pool on a 44 degree day, so Ryan could dive and try to dye test the main drain. The leak was finally discovered and repaired just in time for me to get the leaf cover on before my pool was full of Oak Leaves. When the weather warms up, Ryan is going to come back to make a more permanent fix. I hope I don't have to, but I would most definitely use this company again. read more

My pool was leaking a lot of water, so I called several leak detection services. All were booked for some time, but True Blue could respond within just a few days. The technician found a leak quickly, but went ahead and checked the rest of the pool. Within 8 days True Blue sent out a repair technician to fix the leak. He had to cut into the concrete decking and repair a PVC leak in the return line. He then had to do a concrete patch. All of this only took a couple of hours. My pool now seems to be holding water like it should. Both technicians did an excellent job, and the lady answering the business phone was very friendly and responsive. And, True Blue had an excellent price for their work. I highly recommend True Blue. read more

This is an excellent company with great employees. Soleil was fantastic on the phone, very friendly, honest, and helpful. The technician, "Bo," was super knowledgeable and thorough. I can't say enough good things about this company; their service is the best. You have a super fan!!!! read more

This company is a pleasure to work with. The technicians performing the work and the office staff were helpful and responsive. Our swimming pool leak was located and addressed without any "janky" upsells or surprises. read more

Devin did a GREAT job fixing the leak to our pool even though the people who built it laid the pipes in some weird places. When he showed me the hole he drilled, I wondered how he was going to fill it in without anyone noticing the difference between it and the other pebbled concrete. HE HAD TO SHOW ME WHERE IT WAS! Seriously! I definitely recommend True Blue Leak. They know their stuff and then some!!! read more

We had a leak that several companies could not find. True Blue stayed with it until the leak was found and followed through with a repair that worked. read more

Used True Blue to fix my second leak of the year (ugh!) but they responded very quickly, squeezed me into their schedule, and fixed the problem the next day. They are true professionals; courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I can't recommend them enough! Thank you. read more

I literally can't recommend Ryan from RD Leak Detection highly enough. He saved us $6,500!!! He's a truly genuine human being, a professional in his field and very passionate about being fair to his customers. 1. When I called looking for a second opinion on a leak we had been quoted a $6500 repair bill on, he was honest about not being able to get out to me for nearly 3 weeks. 2. His price for a full leak detection was fair, and lower than others we'd been quoted, and in one case paid--I wish we hadn't wasted money on the other company 3. When he had a customer change schedule, which opened up an earlier availability, he let me know right away. We were loosing 2 inches of water a day, so getting the test done as quickly as possible was essential. 4. When the day scheduled was a downpour of rain, and he couldn't do the test, he came out that Saturday, first thing, instead. 5. He immediately found the epoxy at one skimmer to be damaged badly. He correctly believed this to be the cause of our leak. After repairing it -- and showing me how I could do epoxy repairs going forward, he finished off the dye test to show nothing else was leaking. 6. He talked me through the "leaks" the other company found (which they said would cost $6500 to fix), and explained how each was a scam. He provided logical demonstrations on how nothing they said made sense. For example, they said all 4 spa jets needed replacement, but he pointed out how our spa was full until the pool went down then it poured over into the pool--whereas if the spa was leaking, it's water level would go down first, then the pool afterwards. 7. Without throwing shade on the other company, he told me that we probably wasted our money on the skimmer replacement, because unless it was cracked in half from frost damage or ground shift, you should almost never have to replace a skimmer, just the plumbing underneath it. 8. He also pointed out that the epoxy around our skimmer shouldn't have gone out so soon (we had it redone when the pool was resurfaced 3 years ago)--and he said it was done well at that time. Bottom line: I wish I had contacted RD sooner, and will be using Ryan going forward, and I would highly recommend his services for any pool work that needs to be done. read more

We recently had True Blue Leak Detection come out to check our pool. We had to add water to the pool every morning due to a leak. Shalai, in their office, was very helpful in making our appointment. Our repair tech, Ryan, came to examine the pool and in no time discovered what our problem was. He made the repair and the pool hasn't lost water due to the leak since. I would highly recommend True Blue Leak Detection. Their staff is professional and wonderful to work with. read more

Josh came out to our home and spent hours checking all of the openings and pipes on our pool until he found the leak in the drain. So impressed! Definitely recommend! read more

Bo with True Blue Leak Detection fixed the leak in my pool on 12-16-23. I never saw him on his phone. Everytime I went to check on him he was working. He answered all of my questions and then some. After the leak was finished he skimmed my hot tub, rolled up the water hose and made everything look neat. He had to drill a hole into the patio area to get to the leak and after he was done I wasn't able to see where the patio was dug up. Bo knew what he was doing and he did an excellent job. Another company that had originally come to my house to give me an estimate was three times more expensive than what I paid True Blue Leak Detection. Would definitely recommend this company to others. read more

Excellent work! They found and did the repair fast! I appreciate the professionalism and honesty in their service work. read more

True Blue personnel did a super job in finding and repairing a pool leak. It took a lot of effort to find the leak since it was below ground, in a "hidden area." The prices are also reasonable. Hopefully, I will not have any more leaks in the future, but if I do, I will certainly call this company again! read more

Terrible customer service and zero accountability. After waiting for your appt day, you may just receive the response "I'm not sure where the leak is." save your money and time and go with another company. I had "Mike" come out to a home I own on Monday 7/23. The only reason I know this is because the tenant I have leasing it told me someone briefly stopped by and relayed what he told her. I still have not heard from him via email, call or even text. So I decided to call on Wed, spoke with Katie. She stated she would relay the message and would also give me a call back. Never got a call. I called again Thursday was apologized to, told I would get a call by end of day. Never got that call. I called Friday to confirm I would not receive an invoice since, from my perspective, nothing had been done. Katie stated she would speak with Managment and give me a call back... and you guessed it, never got that call. I called again this morning and Katie just told me I would not be invoiced. Now,after a week wasted I can move on to a company that can do the job they advertise and keep their word. read more

I had been struggling with a leaky simmer for 2 years. Did some patching and foam injection, but nothing lasted. Based on reviews online, I called True Blue Leak Detection. It was great talking with Shelai to communicate my needs and schedule the work - she seems like a very happy and positive person. Devin arrived promptly, listened to the info I had to provide, and took care of the work professionally. He showed me the issue with the skimmer and assured me it would be fixed. It's been a couple of weeks now and the pool is holding water beautifully. Their price was $300-$600 less than other estimates I received. I recommend them. read more

We had been noticing water level dropping in the pool over the past several weeks, reached out to RD and they called, confirmed an appointment for the next week, continued to follow up as a reminder of the appointment, which I really like. Bo the repairman showed up on time and ready to get to work, Performed all of his tests on the pool lines and determined it was chalking around the skimmers that was decayed and needed new epoxy. This was performed and we are back in business. I truly mean that these guys are true professionals. From contact to being on time, to scope of work performed. Their pricing was extremely fair, especially for all of testing they did to determine the exact cause of our leak. I can say with should the need arise again we will not be calling any other company. I am very pleased with RD Leak Detection's work. I was losing a considerable amount of water from my pool daily. Before finding RD, other companies were quoting me $500 just to do the leak detection, which meant for them going underwater in scuba gear. Per RD's website, this is unnecessary and there are easier ways to preliminarily check for leaks, which is what RD did. I contacted RD through their website and received a response quickly. RD inspected for leaks and epoxied at least 5 leak sites all for $385. The technician also takes video of the leak test and posts it on YouTube for you and the community to view. They also warrantee their work for 30 days. I highly recommend calling RD if you notice your pool losing water. read more

Brian from RD was awesome. He did a leak test and outlined some options for repairs. We finally have the leak fixed after all this time. He gave great advice, was professional and my dog liked him. He also took care as the plumbing was located near a lot of plants we have. They did take some time calling me back initially, but I'm glad I was not in an emergency situation and could wait. I would highly recommend Brian. read more

I'm sure that RD Leak Detection is great at what they do..... if they ever picked up their phone or called their clients back. I don't leave many reviews... but I got very frustrated trying to contact RD Leak Detection. I called the first time on Monday, Nov 16 in the afternoon. Their hours online say they're open til 7! No answer... I left a voice mail. Their message system says that they can also receive texts at the same number! So... I sent a text... 2 days went by.... no answer. I called TWICE more, at varying times to try to catch someone... leaving a voice mail each time. Today is end of day Thursday. If you cannot even bother to call someone back or answer a text in 4 full business days... I would HATE to know how long it takes them to get out to your house to actually fix anything. I had higher hopes for a company with 5 stars on yelp. I live very close to RD and was hoping to support some local business with my call... but poor customer service and response times have me having to seek out more efficient routes. I'm happy to change my review if someone reaches out in the next 24 hours! Hate to resort to that... but calling and texting have gotten me nowhere. read more

True Blue Leak Detection is my "go-to" company when I suspect I have leaks in my pool. They are skilled, honest, and reasonably priced. Their website even has their price list which shows costs to repair various items. Recently, my pool water level kept dropping and had to be filled daily. So, as I have in the past, I called True Blue. Josh came out and did a thorough inspection and determined the problem in no time. He found that the leak was located close to the pool wall under the apron surrounding the pool. This summer's drought had caused the ground to shrink resulting in a cracked cleaner return line. He provided the cost to repair which, again, is highly competitive. As a result of the high demand for their services due to the drought, I immediately called True Blue's scheduler and made an appointment to have the work done. Devin came out, assessed the project again, and immediately went to work. This required cutting through the pool deck to reach the pipe. The work took several hours to complete. He replaced the piping and repaired the small hole in the deck. Devin did an excellent job, in fixing the leak, repairing the deck, and thoroughly cleaning the area. No more leaking and no more daily filling the pool! If you experience a pool leak make True Blue Leak Detection your first call. They are an impressive company with a great team. read more

We had a leak in our pool and could not pin point the cause. Josh from True Blue Leak Detection came out, found the leak, and fixed the problem. He was very professional and knowledgeable. And, always answers his phone when you call. Shelai, in their office, is amazing. She called me back with an opening as soon as one came available (which allowed the work to be done sooner) and is just the sweetest person. Please call True Blue Leak Detection. Reached out online and heard back from Ryan via email almost immediately. After a few brief exchanges, Ryan came out same day to provide a Leak Detection so we could finally identify why the pool at our new home had been leaking so frequently. After quickly diagnosing the issue and providing a fair estimate, Ryan got us on the books for a repair the following week. He showed up when expected and expertly repaired our leak in what seemed like no time, for the quoted amount - zero upsell, no surprises. As a small business owner myself, I can't say enough positive things about the level of attention, service, and customer care he provided. I would wholeheartedly recommend RD Leak Detection to anyone and everyone who has an issue with their pool. A+ read more

No need to look at any more companies for leak detection. These guys are the best! I've been trying to find my leak for 3 months and mistakenly hired another leak detection company first. I was told multiple times by the other company they were sure of the cause of my leak. Well, they were wrong multiple times. I called RD to get an estimate to fix the repair the other company said I needed. The owner, Ryan, said the repair didn't sound right for my situation. Ryan was very helpful in helping me understand the problem and how everything worked. He found my leak and repaired quickly and for a very fair price. He really knows his stuff. I can't recommend these guys enough. I only wished I called them first instead of wasting time and money with the other company. read more

I used him to find the leak in my pool. He is honest and he resolved the leak issue and performed the repair himself.

I had a leak in the pool but had no clue where it was. I got leak detection & pool guys to come out. Glad I found Ryan for a 3rd opinion. I booked Ryan in to fix it & he did an amazing job! So far so good highly recommended if your looking for your leak guy he's the one! read more

I'm very pleased with the work that was done to replumb and replaster my spa. Ryan was very helpful and trustworthy. The cost was very reasonable! I will definitely use them on future projects and I highly recommend them! read more

Getting in touch with Ryan was the best thing to ever happen to my pool. After inheriting an old pool that needed to be replastered and spruced up, we hired a company to do the job. After finding bad fittings, leaks and corners cut in the work, I contacted Ryan to see what he could do. Not only did he repair my fittings PROPERLY but he stuck with it until he found any and all possibilities that could have sprung a leak in my pool. His knowledge is expansive but his detail and care for his clients is unparalleled. read more

Ryan was absolutely a pleasure to work with knowledgeable, honest and focused on our needs. He found our leak where others have failed and while I was bemoaning the cost of tearing up our yard he provided a second solution that actually cost him money but overall benefited our situation. WHO DOES THAT? Because of an initial scheduling snafu he didn't want to take any money in spite of the fact that he came out twice and his time is valuable. I pretty much had to force him to take some money. Again I ask WHO DOES THAT? I can't recommend highly enough and if you have trouble getting through stick with it they are worth it. We have a pool built in the early 80s. We were losing quite a bit of water daily. Ryan and Jace came out quickly, and were very professional. It turns out that we had a few small leaks that Jace was able to fix in a very timely manner. We determined that those small leaks were not the only source of the problem, and Jace came out once again and found a much larger leak. He spend quite a bit of time trying to locate the leak, but he finally found it and got it repaired. We appreciate all the time and effort he spent on our pool. We are now leak free and couldn't be happier with their service. Thanks!! read more

Our in ground swimming pool was built in 1984. The plumbing underneath it is all original. We were losing serious amounts of water from week to week. After ryan got under the deck he found additional leaks then we originally thought. Not surprising with the age of the pool. What was supposed to be a one day job turned into a 2 1/2 day job. It wasn't an easy repair and he did a great. An old piece of plastic around the equipment got damaged during the work and he offered to replace it with labor free of charge. Very nice of him, because the plastic was old & fragile to begin with. He showed up every day to work, had a great attitude and was very professional. The job was a little bit more then quoted, but we expected this and it was more than reasonable with the amount of work that he put in. We will definitely hire Ryan again when we need future work on this old pool. -Mystery Cir. read more

I was very disappointed with this company, especially since they had claimed to be leak detection experts. I used this company to check my spa for leaks. After troubleshooting problem with the spa, they attempted to repair the leak. When I called Mike back on many occasions after I saw that the spa was still leaking, I never received a call back. He would not even call me back to tell me what else should be checked to detect the leak so that I can call another company. I would not recommend this company. read more

I cannot say enough good things about RD Leak Detection. I am thoroughly impressed with their services and cost. They actually listened to me describe the problem we were having and fixed it directly rather than forcing us to do unnecessary tests. No other company actually listened to me when describing the problem and they all insisted on expensive testing up front. Katie was responsive and heard what I had to say and Ryan was prompt and professional and very, very thorough. Turns out we were a weird case with a 4th jet that had been covered during an old resurfacing - but Ryan was determined to figure it out! And it matched up with the symptoms we had been seeing for some time. All in all, it was a professional logical - and refreshing! - approach to fixing a problem and we could not be happier. read more
