Bo is the man and I can tell he is passionate about his work. You barely can find honest people these day but Bo is as honest as they come. He educated me on what he looks for and how he looks for it inside the pool. The first pool leak detector I've seen get inside the pool with underwater gear and test everything for leaks. I had a new pool built about 10 months ago and have had to fill up pool weekly with water so I knew something was wrong. I have had several leaks in my 33 year old pool over the years, that I have had repaired. This one particular slow leak could not be found by three different leak detection companies in the D/FW area. They did not want to take the time and effort to find this leak. Ryan would not give up. He and his helpers came out 4 different times and finally found the leak hiding inside the pool light niche. I actually heated the pool on a 44 degree day, so Ryan could dive and try to dye test the main drain. The leak was finally discovered and repaired just in time for me to get the leaf cover on before my pool was full of Oak Leaves. When the weather warms up, Ryan is going to come back to make a more permanent fix. I hope I don't have to, but I would most definitely use this company again. read more

My pool was leaking a lot of water, so I called several leak detection services. All were booked for some time, but True Blue could respond within just a few days. The technician found a leak quickly, but went ahead and checked the rest of the pool. Within 8 days True Blue sent out a repair technician to fix the leak. He had to cut into the concrete decking and repair a PVC leak in the return line. He then had to do a concrete patch. All of this only took a couple of hours. My pool now seems to be holding water like it should. Both technicians did an excellent job, and the lady answering the business phone was very friendly and responsive. And, True Blue had an excellent price for their work. I highly recommend True Blue. read more

Devin did a GREAT job fixing the leak to our pool even though the people who built it laid the pipes in some weird places. I literally can't recommend Ryan from RD Leak Detection highly enough. He saved us $6,500!!! He's a truly genuine human being, a professional in his field and very passionate about being fair to his customers. 1. When I called looking for a second opinion on a leak we had been quoted a $6500 repair bill on, he was honest about not being able to get out to me for nearly 3 weeks. 2. His price for a full leak detection was fair, and lower than others we'd been quoted, and in one case paid--I wish we hadn't wasted money on the other company 3. When he had a customer change schedule, which opened up an earlier availability, he let me know right away. We were loosing 2 inches of water a day, so getting the test done as quickly as possible was essential. 4. When the day scheduled was a downpour of rain, and he couldn't do the test, he came out that Saturday, first thing, instead. 5. He immediately found the epoxy at one skimmer to be damaged badly. He correctly believed this to be the cause of our leak. After repairing it -- and showing me how I could do epoxy repairs going forward, he finished off the dye test to show nothing else was leaking. 6. He talked me through the "leaks" the other company found (which they said would cost $6500 to fix), and explained how each was a scam. He provided logical demonstrations on how nothing they said made sense. For example, they said all 4 spa jets needed replacement, but he pointed out how our spa was full until the pool went down then it poured over into the pool--whereas if the spa was leaking, it's water level would go down first, then the pool afterwards. 7. Without throwing shade on the other company, he told me that we probably wasted our money on the skimmer replacement, because unless it was cracked in half from frost damage or ground shift, you should almost never have to replace a skimmer, just the plumbing underneath it. 8. He also pointed out that the epoxy around our skimmer shouldn't have gone out so soon (we had it redone when the pool was resurfaced 3 years ago)--and he said it was done well at that time. Bottom line: I wish I had contacted RD sooner, and will be using Ryan going forward, and I would highly recommend his services for any pool work that needs to be done. read more

Bo with True Blue Leak Detection fixed the leak in my pool on 12-16-23. I never saw him on his phone. Everytime I went to check on him he was working. He answered all of my questions and then some. After the leak was finished he skimmed my hot tub, rolled up the water hose and made everything look neat. He had to drill a hole into the patio area to get to the leak and after he was done I wasn't able to see where the patio was dug up. Bo knew what he was doing and he did an excellent job. Another company that had originally come to my house to give me an estimate was three times more expensive than what I paid True Blue Leak Detection. Terrible customer service and zero accountability. After waiting for your appt day, you may just receive the response "I'm not sure where the leak is." save your money and time and go with another company. I had "Mike" come out to a home I own on Monday 7/23. The only reason I know this is because the tenant I have leasing it told me someone briefly stopped by and relayed what he told her. I still have not heard from him via email, call or even text. So I decided to call on Wed, spoke with Katie. She stated she would relay the message and would also give me a call back. Never got a call. I called again Thursday was apologized to, told I would get a call by end of day. Never got that call. I called Friday to confirm I would not receive an invoice since, from my perspective, nothing had been done. Katie stated she would speak with Managment and give me a call back... and you guessed it, never got that call. I called again this morning and Katie just told me I would not be invoiced. We had been noticing water level dropping in the pool over the past several weeks, reached out to RD and they called, confirmed an appointment for the next week, continued to follow up as a reminder of the appointment, which I really like. Bo the repairman showed up on time and ready to get to work, Performed all of his tests on the pool lines and determined it was chalking around the skimmers that was decayed and needed new epoxy. I am very pleased with RD Leak Detection's work. I was losing a considerable amount of water from my pool daily. Before finding RD, other companies were quoting me $500 just to do the leak detection, which meant for them going underwater in scuba gear. Per RD's website, this is unnecessary and there are easier ways to preliminarily check for leaks, which is what RD did. I contacted RD through their website and received a response quickly. RD inspected for leaks and epoxied at least 5 leak sites all for $385. The technician also takes video of the leak test and posts it on YouTube for you and the community to view. They also warrantee their work for 30 days. I highly recommend calling RD if you notice your pool losing water. read more

I'm sure that RD Leak Detection is great at what they do..... if they ever picked up their phone or called their clients back. I don't leave many reviews... but I got very frustrated trying to contact RD Leak Detection. I called the first time on Monday, Nov 16 in the afternoon. Their hours online say they're open til 7! No answer... I left a voice mail. Their message system says that they can also receive texts at the same number! So... I sent a text... 2 days went by.... no answer. I called TWICE more, at varying times to try to catch someone... leaving a voice mail each time. Today is end of day Thursday. If you cannot even bother to call someone back or answer a text in 4 full business days... I would HATE to know how long it takes them to get out to your house to actually fix anything. I had higher hopes for a company with 5 stars on yelp. I live very close to RD and was hoping to support some local business with my call... but poor customer service and response times have me having to seek out more efficient routes. I'm happy to change my review if someone reaches out in the next 24 hours! Hate to resort to that... but calling and texting have gotten me nowhere. read more

True Blue Leak Detection is my "go-to" company when I suspect I have leaks in my pool. They are skilled, honest, and reasonably priced. Their website even has their price list which shows costs to repair various items. Recently, my pool water level kept dropping and had to be filled daily. So, as I have in the past, I called True Blue. Josh came out and did a thorough inspection and determined the problem in no time. He found that the leak was located close to the pool wall under the apron surrounding the pool. This summer's drought had caused the ground to shrink resulting in a cracked cleaner return line. He provided the cost to repair which, again, is highly competitive. As a result of the high demand for their services due to the drought, I immediately called True Blue's scheduler and made an appointment to have the work done. Devin came out, assessed the project again, and immediately went to work. This required cutting through the pool deck to reach the pipe. The work took several hours to complete. He replaced the piping and repaired the small hole in the deck. Devin did an excellent job, in fixing the leak, repairing the deck, and thoroughly cleaning the area. Our in ground swimming pool was built in 1984. The plumbing underneath it is all original. We were losing serious amounts of water from week to week. After ryan got under the deck he found additional leaks then we originally thought. Not surprising with the age of the pool. What was supposed to be a one day job turned into a 2 1/2 day job. It wasn't an easy repair and he did a great. An old piece of plastic around the equipment got damaged during the work and he offered to replace it with labor free of charge. Very nice of him, because the plastic was old & fragile to begin with. He showed up every day to work, had a great attitude and was very professional. The job was a little bit more then quoted, but we expected this and it was more than reasonable with the amount of work that he put in. I was very disappointed with this company, especially since they had claimed to be leak detection experts. I used this company to check my spa for leaks. After troubleshooting problem with the spa, they attempted to repair the leak. When I called Mike back on many occasions after I saw that the spa was still leaking, I never received a call back. He would not even call me back to tell me what else should be checked to detect the leak so that I can call another company. I would not recommend this company. read more
