Get a written quote before having work done here. Todd gave me a quote over the phone prior to them performing the work. When the job was done the price was $281 more than the verbal quote. Of course Todd could not recall the previously quoted price discussed on the phone. read more

When I had a problem when I hooked up to my trailer I took the pick up truck and the trailer back and they diagnosed the problem in the trailer and fixed it for no extra charge. Was having a hard time finding 1/4" air line for my daughters '67 C-10 with air ride suspension. Parts stores either didn't have it or wanted me to buy a 1000 foot roll. Someone at a nearby parts house suggested Truck Smart. Not only did they have it, I only needed enough to redo the control panel (less than a foot) and was given more then enough to do what I needed done at no cost. For the love of Pete don't waste your time here. Went into the store 4 or 5 times to get some items. Even tried multiple different vehicles, they could not get, nor did they sell the items I wanted. Also, the closest item the could come to was one item and it was 12 times more expensive! The response I received was "we do not sell cheap items". Oh yeah? You mean like the Firestone air bags I got for my truck? The ones that never worked right, nor did they sit right on the AXLE!! The ones you would not warranty??? Those???!!! Had a diesel tank replaced in my F-250, and air bags added on the rear suspension. Salesperson wrote up the wrong air bags - not compatible with my under-bed hitch system. Good think the owner caught the error before day of install. On install day, I was 30 minutes late for the appointment, and the technician who met me out front grumbled that they were already half an hour behind schedule. Wow - terrible service, even though it was my mistake. Lastly, I was told the install would go a couple hours into the next day. I arrived around noon, thinking that it would be finished by then. No - it was not going to be completed until 2:00 p.m. Had to cancel service at the Ford Dealer due to Trucksmart taking longer than anticipated. They should have called me to let me know it would take longer. The owner was not even friendly about it. I recommend looking into other alternatives. read more

I bought a brand new Pro Top from the Rocklin truck smart that was always leaky. When I accidentally called the Auburn store the owner answered and found out he was closer for me and offered to fix the problem for me for free despite it not being his install. He really went above and beyond and had great costumer service. I highly recommend this store! read more

Had a Titan 50 gal. diesel tank installed Thursday, filled it this morning (Saturday) for a fishing trip and it is draining diesel in my driveway right now! The phone call to Trucksmart was bring it in on Monday to repair. So it is to drain fuel till then. Then I am to drive the leaking truck to them? Is that even safe? What service for $2000! On top of that I found the old tank in the back of my truck and was told I had to dispose of it. This was never brought up until after the work was complete. Our four day Sierra camping trip, with prepaid campsites, food etc. down the drain. This is one bad deal. Go elsewhere. read more

I went to Auburn Collision Center to have my trailer receptacle on my bumper checked out because it was not working properly,I had some body damage repaired there and the bumper was removed during the repair. The manager suggested I go to Trucksmart because that's where they send all of their business when it comes to those type of issues. I was told they had a special meter that they could plug in to the receptacle and tell you what exactly was wrong. I waited around for appox. 20min and the owner could not find the meter. I explained to him that only the right turn signal was working and he told me to check the fuses or I could go down to their Rocklin store and have it checked their but be patient because I would have to make an appointment to come back and have it repaired. As a former business owner here in Auburn I would have at least pretended I cared about my concerns. Over the years I have spent thousand's of dollars at Trucksmart when they were on hwy 49 just past drycreek. I went home and spent several hours and figured out the issue no thanks to Trucksmart. I will not spend any more time or money at this business. read more
