I needed some one-time pest control at my house and found Truckee Meadows Pest Control on Yelp!. I sent them a note and they were very responsive. Throughout, the Communication has been excellent. The tech was right on time and did a nice, thorough job. After he treated, he took a few minutes to tell me everything he had done and even made some recommendations for us to try out. I contacted them for squirrel removal. Noel came with a bait box, gruff but whatever. All goes well, 2 week inspection to see how much of the poison is gone, I speak with Noel again and I mention that I haven't seen squirrels in 2 weeks and that I unscrewed the bait box to see how much was eaten, doesn't look like much is gone. No big deal in my mind. 6pm Noel is at my door, are you home? I need to take the bait box, my supervisor will call you. Very rude! What's going on? He will call you. You admitted to touching the bait box so I have to pull it. No further answers. I am stunned! I get a call about 30 minutes later from a Victor, completely rude and from the tone of his voice he is ready for conflict and confrontation. I have no idea what I have done wrong at this point or why this is happening. Victor proceeds to tell me that I should know better than touch poison and have tampered with their box and bc I have a dog it will be removed immediately. Huh?? Totally stunned and offended that this person is basically calling me stupid. Noel never told me that if I touched it in anyway that I was in some sort of violation or said anything other than it was poison, duh, and keep the dog away. Again, duh. I am not a moron. I did what any regular person would do and one time looked in when I hadn't seen any squirrels in a week or so to see if the bait was being eaten. I didn't lick my fingers like I ate chicken nor did I let my dog, who was so super not interested in the bait box or what I was looking at come near me. The "supervisor " Victor was so rude and acted like he is in charge of something very special and told me "this was for my dog's well being" and that " I should know better" . Appreciated, but, again, I'm not stupid. It's MY dog. Why would I let her near poison? I simply unscrewed the cap, on the very top, and looked inside. Then screwed the cap back on. The end. Didn't disturb a single thing. NO ONE TOLD ME NOT TO LOOK AT IN IT OR I WOULD BE IN SOME KIND OF BREACH IF I DID. Victor was SUPER argumentative and very unprofessional for a "supervisor" . I ended with asking him to refund my portion of the 2 weeks I paid for the bait box and he could have it back. Mmmk mmmmk mmmkk, I will, I will, is what I got. So completely rude and aggressive for no reason. I even told him this was a review and he didn't care. I am unsatisfied and offended. It was $275.00 for one month and no one has come knocking with a refund check, as I requested. Corporate. Review your people and policies. I will tell everyone I know how awful my experience was with this company, Take a management class Victor and work on your customer service skills. read more

Beware of this company. They give you no information on the pest that you're dealing with (bed bugs)! They do NOT come back and re-treat,even though they know that they come back. They treated my home,only checked the beds,and charged me $2,500.00. They don't offer anything after a treatment and the bed bugs came back into my home and they pretty much told me that they were sympathetic but that I would have to pay another $2,500.00.They gave us no after care nor did they give us any information about how bed bugs cycles are. read more

They inspected our home and provided a report and a few weeks later after my GC saw a number of places that rodents may be entering that were not included in their initial report, I called to see if they could come back and the rep on the phone was very short and rude and said they would not come back under any circumstance without charging and essentially hung up on me. It was very odd since I was calling to hire them but the conversation didn't even get to that point because he assumed I was looking for free work. Very strange. read more

This pest control company disappointed me terribly. After having them come out to inspect, and leave the directions for me to prepare my home for the extermination, I have not heard from them. I've called and left messages for Jodi. She was my contact, and she has not responded at all. Just left me in a terrible situation, that has turned into something where I need medical assistance. I hope they read this review to see how frustrated I am. We had been dealing with little black ants for too long... all the home remedies and Home Depot fixes weren't working so we called Truckee Meadows Pest Control. They came out, assessed the situation and gave us 3 different options for treatments. We were very happy with them, no longer have ants, and grateful to have them to call if another pest issue pops up. Definitely would recommend them! read more

A little pricey, but service was top notch. I used a competitors Pest Control service recently that was not nearly as good. TMPC went over every nook and cranny of the house with me and even found a wasp nest on the side of the house that I had not seen. We live by a large open space, didn't want the small critters to share our house! Truckee Meadows Pest were very responsive. We even had an infestation of small black moth like creatures all over our patio roof and entryway. They responded immediately and got ride of all the moths and didn't charge for the treatment. Property management sent these guys out to our house for a continuing ant problem. Collin the technician showed up right as planned and had me show him every place the ants were in and also a walk a round of the house perimeter showing me where they were coming from. Collin was very nice and informative and took the time to explain what he'd be doing. He sprayed all the house exterior perimeter, rock bed, cracks even the sidewalks. No bugs for over two weeks! This is how you do a real review! When you have a pest control company come out and do work then you have to wait to see just how effective they are. Two weeks in and no ants, spiders, mites, or anything else that is the creepy crawlies! When they say they are going to be there in the time frame they give you then expect the earlier time rather than later. They are fast and efficient and I would use them again. For the first time ever, I found mice in our garage! Fearful they would migrate into my house, I called Truckee Meadows Pest Control for help. Jodi dispatched a technician (Steve) the same day, and my problem was solved! He cleared the mice, set traps, and then proceeded to get rid of black widows and SIX yellow jacket nests we didn't realize were established. I'm very grateful for Steve's professionalism and the company's promptness. I've signed up for ongoing treatments, and can sleep peacefully tonight knowing those critters are gone!
