The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out. Out came the sun and Eric and his side kick from G&R pest control appeared spraying the living crap out of those arthropods around our property. A year later, I'm still thankful for G&R. We started service with them last year when we had wasps, ants and rodents at our house. We signed up for an annual, pay in advance program for the exterior only to handle these pests and handle them they did. The wasps were knocked out immediately, the ants stopped after a few weeks, and the rodents disappeared for awhile. About a month ago I noticed the rodent activity had picked up in the garage, presumably because they're gearing up for the winter and I'm not too cautious about what's available for them to munch on. That didn't concern me too much, but while reading a book to my kiddo I heard the tell tale scratching in the room and started to freak out. Fortunately it was 100% coming from under the house, so I called G&R the next day to set an appointment. I contacted G&R Pest Control to have them come and take care of a couple of problems I was having at my home. They replied to my initial inquiry quickly and we were able to set up a time for them to come over that worked for both of us. Because rain was in the forecast we only had the interior of the house treated so far. Again they were extremely helpful for scheduling the exterior treatment. They are very professional and communicate extremely well when it comes to schedule availability and accommodating the customers needs. read more

I used this service last year when I saw ants inside our house. Instantly, the ants were gone so I thought "Great!" Called them back this year for the same treatment and was told by the technician that if I didn't see a change, call them back and they would come back and retreat. Well, I did call back after I saw no change in any behavior after two weeks, only to be told that I would have to pay extra for a follow-up because I was not on one of their summer plans. I could understand this if the initial treatment worked for a period of time but it didn't. Shame on the company for not specifying that clause BEFORE they perform the treatment and took my money. Beware! Read the fine print in their "Guarantee". Treatments for ants are not included. Regardless of what the technician tells you when they come to your house and you pay for the service. 05-29-2018 UPDATE: After posting this review, I was contacted by the owner Mike Epstein, to address my concerns. He came out and spot treated the areas where the ants hung out, using a bait gel. He mentioned that he has to explain that "no ant guarantee" clause frequently which tells me its consistently not explained up front to customers. Great responsiveness, from Mike, but it seems that chemical should have been part of the treatment plan from the start, since its not guaranteed. read more

Awesome company to work with. They just sprayed a home we bought for our son and his family to live in. They squeezed us in to an early morning slot so that I did not have to worry about our grand-kids and pregnant daughter-in-law being in the home around the spray. They even sprayed the hornet nests in the shed. They were professional, friendly and did a great job. We are so please we will use them again and refer them to everyone. We are semi-retired from Real Estate and Property Management and we always need a good pest control company to refer out. We just gave his contact info to a couple of top agents in Reno since the other company they been using books so far out. Their price was good and they do not push regular spray or contracts like other companies. One company I called only took contracts no one time sprays. What those companies do not understand is that sometimes these homes are rentals or going on market for sale or someone has sensitivity to the chemicals. Not everyone can tolerate spray every month. Wow.......we've been using G&R for 10 years! When we moved into our home 10 years ago, we had a huge ant problem in our kitchen/great room. I asked a friend for a recommendation of a pest control company and she told me to call Mike at G&R. I did and he came out right away and took care of the problem. We have been on an annual plan ever since and have nothing but good things to say about everyone. They have dealt with our ants, assorted other insects, mice and most recently voles and marmots. I first used G&R for rodents because of mice in my new house. Mike, the owner, explained the situation and preventative vs. ad hoc control. The annual package made sense for me, and Kyle has been great as my point person. I next discovered black widows are all around my house exterior and garage -- yikes! G&R scheduled me for a spray the very next day. Mike explained black widow behavior, their prevalence in this part of Reno, and how the indoor & outdoor sprays work. I always have to leave a voicemail when calling and then attempted to switch my date immediately after you called me to switch just to get a call nearly 3 hours later to tell me you weren't switching me anymore. Very very happy with them. We did the annual package and every time the guys came out, they were very friendly and went the extra mile for excellent customer service. They don't give you a 2-4 hour window as to when the guy will be at your house. They give a 15 mins window and they have never been late! The main thing for me was feeling safe. The employees are not creepy and I feel very comfortable with them in my home. We live in Spanish Springs so lots of bugs and since we've been using them, I haven't seen a single critter. I had Evan come yesterday, he was friendly and helpful. But, to tell you the truth,it took him 15 -20 minutes (4-5 minutes total upstairs - 3 bedroom and bathroom) to finish the whole condo/garage and patio and he told me he does not need to do the attic which I was really concerned about and one of the main reasons I hired them. I haven`t seen single dead spider or bug coming out after the extermination. I saw a lot of spiders especially in the patio area before and there were no dead ones after the extermination there . So, honestly,it makes me feel like it was not really efficient, especially for the price I paid. read more

Needless to say i found G & R Pest Control. They are s local business, with quite a few 5 star reviews. I definitely can see why, they are extremely polite,professional and were on time for there appt. They were actually early. They did a walkthrough of the house and garage,went underneath the house and then gave me a quote and a game plan. There service includes a couple service calls and a three month follow up. Within that three months they will come out to make sure the problem is gone and you are 100 percent happy. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone. We contacted G&R Pest Control for our rodent problems, signing up for a 1-year discounted PREPAID service to install traps and bait feeders around the property. This property is our second home which is only occupied a few times a year. In July 2021, we happened to be there and noticed that the traps had not been set and baited as stated to provide in the contract. There were cobwebs over the tops of the traps, rodent droppings and urine on the decks. I called G&R immediately, they sent a technician out days later to clean and bait the traps. Later that same day, I inspected the traps and found that the technician DID NOT bait them. I called G&R, yet again, they came back to bait the traps. I walked the property with their technician to make sure he was aware of the other bait traps that were part of the contract, evidently, he was NOT aware and had NOT been replenishing the bait. At that point, I became convinced that the company was not doing the job as agreed and contracted to do so then or in the past months. After a HUGE disappointment from G&R we called to cancel services. Since I prepaid for 1-year I assumed the unused portion would be refunded. I did receive a refund, although, the original discount given was charged back to us. G&R claimed, since I was canceling, they would not honor the discount and would now charge me the full amount for the prior services. I'm completely disturbed with G&R and their dishonest customer service and technicians. If I had not been at my home in July 2021, I would have never known my property was not being serviced as contracted, yet paid in full. At this point after all these alarming issues with G&R they should refund the full prepaid amount for substandard and incomplete services provided. G&R Pest Control cannot be trusted. Based on yelp reviews, my daughter called G&R Pest Control to come to my house for ants & mice They charged me $650 annual fee & came to my house 4 times during the year. None of the workers wore "carpet booties"; the owner set a bucket on my carpet which left a circular stain. He did give me $60 to get it cleaned, but why would anyone be that careless? They were able to trap some mice, but were completely unsuccessful with ants. He wanted to spray the inside of my house which I would not allow. I asked him to spray under the house where the ants lived. Not sure if he ever did, but the ants keep coming. read more
