This company may sound like they know what they're doing, but they really don't. Their solution for dealing with roof rats was to completely ignore the roof area. When we switched to a pest control company that was actually competent, the first thing they said is "Whoa, you have so many ants around your house, we need to spray for those." I said that it had just been sprayed by another pest control company (this one) and they couldn't believe it. And then they actually sprayed the perimeter in a competent way. Do yourself a favor and check out ZeeBest instead. read more

Had problems with rats and mice, called Northern Nevada Pest control. They are the best. Took care of the issue plus sprayed for flys at the doorway. No rats, no mice. If you want a tech who listens and takes care of issues plus, call them. Very reasonable and great attitude and service. read more

Kurt and his team are very professional. I have utilized Northern Nevada Pest Control for many years for residential and commercial property pest inspections and remediation. If you are looking for the best pest control company in Northern Nevada - call Northern Nevada Pest Control they are detailed, thorough and their report reports are received in a timely manner. A small amount of scrap wood under our home showed evidence of termites. Instead of recommending trenching with large amounts of pesticide, Kurt recommended removal of the wood, spot treatment and Trelona bait traps. I feel really good about minimizing the use of chemicals and targeted treatment of the termite colony. They were available for a timely estimate and treatment prior to the sale of our home! read more

They did lobby Yelp to get my previous review removed. I only recommend this company if you want precious heirloms to "go missing" while their empoyees are in your home. Nearly 2 years later I am still getting help recovering from the damage their employee Ally caused in my life. read more

These people DO NOT show up when they're supposed to. The techs can't seem to keep their appts. You end up waiting and they are either super late or don't come at all. read more

I have been with Northern Nevada Pest control for several years but last year the quality of service dropped drastically. This year communications have been terrible and the service even worse. I use northern Nevada Pest control for weed control, ants, aphids etc. They come out automatically and perform their services and just send us a bill that I pay immediately. This year we keep getting weeds and they won't come correct the problem they tell me it will be in a month that never comes. We have been since MAY with this weed problem that has only gotten worse because they don't take care of the customer that has taken care of them. We were having an ant problem again and Allie was gracious enough to come out and treat for ants (which we still have). Allie told me herself she would be out last week for the weeds but that has come and gone I guess won't come at all. Sorry Kurt how much of this crap should we take before we leave. I will find a reputable company to solve the problem I paid you to take care of. This review is being posted by Merl Jessop and wife Sondra Jessop read more

We had evidence of mice in several locations. Paul came on time and looked in attics, crawl space, garages, every room and the house perimeter. He came up with 3 specific access points and advised how to fix them, which were easy jobs for us. He also advised how to set and place traps. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. And this was no charge! read more

I'd give Kurt and his team at Northern Nevada Pest Control 6 stars if I could. These guys are great. Period. Full stop. We had a subterranean termite swarm which initially freaked me out. And a number of other pest shops that came by to assess just fanned the flames and proposed large and expensive remediation plans. Sadly I learned that a lot of folks in the pest business use fear as a marketing tactic to charge more and do a lot of unnecessary work. Then Kurt came in, assessed the situation, and talked me back off the ledge. He determined exactly where termite ground zero was and proposed a targeted plan of attack. Kurt is the holy grail of faster, better, and cheaper. Other folks were recommending non-targeted plans that were going to be less effective, destroy much of our hardscape and landscape, and be 5 - 10X more expensive. Kurt is a really good guy who is an expert in his field. Further, he doesn't just like to get his hands dirty, he loves to. On the day of the treatment Kurt arrived with a younger colleague who was spraying the perimeter of the house while Kurt was crawling around our crawl space in a mask, headlamp and overalls. I joked with Kurt's assistant and asked why the boss was in the crawl space while his associate was enjoying the fine Tahoe fresh air. He informed me that Kurt just loves what he does and especially the assessment and diagnosis part - which involves going subterranean, where the termite are. If you have a pest issue you owe it to yourself to contact Northern Nevada Pest Control - they are truly great and you will be glad you did. read more

I had hoped to get to update my review and say the company stepped up and did the right thing and tried to help. We had initially loved the Northern Nevada Pest Control, and actually gave our first technician wine because we were so happy. After multiple calls and messages regarding the ring that "went missing" while their employee was inside our house alone and the incident is now being investigated as Grand Larceny, I still have not been contacted by the company. My fiance received a single TEXT MESSAGE from the General Manager. I hope for their sake as a family owned company who has done well they terminate the employee. Her own friends and family have messaged me via social media saying they can't prove it but believe she stole the ring and probably sold it. I hope no other family has to go through what we are going through. read more

This business Will Over charge you, bait and switch. They will alter invoice to reflect what they are charging. They charged me Twice as much for the same amount of work that had been done in previous years. Please proceed with caution, there are several reputable companies to treat your plants, this is Not one of those. Their field tech was wonderful, for thirty minutes of work and 5 gallons of product I was billed $300, ended up paying $250, in the past for the same amount of work it ha been $150, Shop around, you will do better using a different company! read more

Got a few quotes for spraying for weed control (pre-emergent). NNPC was the best rates. Matt came out to provide the free estimate and was real with me on what could be done and gave me insight on what to expect. Really professional and easy to talk to. I scheduled for the service to be done the next week, though due to rain we had to reschedule. communication was excellent throughout the process. He came out to spray and was on time (even 2 min early) for our appointment. Spraying was completed and priced as quoted. They do accept credit payments via the phone which i appreciated. Overall it was a good experience and I plan to schedule again in the spring to continue the weed control service. read more

Every single time I have requested a Pest Inspection through Northern NV Pest Control, I am directed to Miss Aisha. Not only does Aisha go above and beyond every single time to make sure my inspections are scheduled at the earliest of my clients and inspectors convenience, she has the brightest attitude. Aisha's customer service is genuine and over the top, its rare to find someone who puts in simple effort to ask about your day and make sure you're okay before providing the service you even called for in the first place. You are appreciated immensely, Aisha! Kurt Dyer has been our go to Inspector & I can say that Kurt is very professional, PUNCTUAL, and guaranteed to get the job done! I have used Northern Nevada Pest control for the last two years for all my weeds and trees. This year I had an overabundance of apples, apricots and huge peaches. This was the 2nd year of a bountiful harvest with no issues. With all the rain we did have an uptick of spiders and ants, and they continued to come and spray for both. And kept them at bay. Highly recommended. read more

In February of 2023 I had my apple tree sprayed for worms and other invaders. Tech advised a second treatment was not necessary due to the excellent quality of treatment used when in fact, his former tech (years past) advised to do a second treatment after flowers fell off. New tech said he guaranteed I would not see any worms. My yearly harvest yielded about 300-400 lbs of edible apples in the past. Fast forward to this years harvest ZERO edible apples. Every apple on my tree was infested with worms leaving me with over 300lbs of worm infested apples. This is my last call to this company. I do NOT recommend this company. I have now been forced to purchase apples in the grocery store... NOT happy! read more

When I scheduled a pre and post-emergent spray at the end of February, I was told that active weeds would die off. After waiting two and a half weeks, about 30% of the active weeds started to die, everything else that was active just kept growing. We ended up spending 4+ hours pulling all of now very large active weeds. I took pictures of our active weed growth and emailed them to the company with no response (the person I emailed was on vacation). I spoke to a woman in the office who suggested I communicate with her supervisor. The supervisor basically told me I needed to wait for the person on vacation to contact me upon his return. He did, but offered no assistance on the company's part to rectify the situation. I wasn't expecting a full refund (the service was $275), but felt either a credit or partial refund was in order. Definitely will not recommend or use their services again. read more

I have used N. Nevada Pest Control for both personal and professional properties numerous times and am extremely happy with their services. I usually work with Kurt, but also Greg, who are very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. I trust them implicitly with their thorough work. Incredible team in their reliability and integrity!!! read more

Super honest company. Had an inspection done and assumed we had multiple infestation issues. They were able to determine the likely cause and then also that we didn't have any current issues. We were thrilled. And they didn't charge for the inspection! Thanks Paul!! read more

Matt has taken great care of us. After an unsuccessful experience with Job's Peak Weed Control, we found NNPC advertised weed control, too. The response was quick, extremely reasonable, and the weed problem was handled once and for all. Plus, Matt called to remind us when it was time for the fall spray. I highly recommend this company. They are very diligent, making it so easy to use their services. read more

Had an emergency bug issue. This was the first business I looked up that was opened on a Saturday. Was so stoked to find out that they were open so I waited patiently till they opened their doors at 7am. Finally 7 am came called and it went to voicemail. Ok maybe they were overwhelmed with calls so I left them a message. It stated that they will get back to you the same day so I waited a while, but still sitting there squirming because these clusters of tiny bugs were spreading along my ceiling and I was freaking out. Called them again and still no answer so I went ahead and called another company to come out. They came out super fast and I was so relieved because we were moving my daughter down stairs and found a dead baby scorpion. But unfortunately this company did not call me back at all and still have not called me back. Very disappointing. read more

I used these guys twice at our new home. I found them to be the most reasonable in regards to price. They are honest, they don't try to oversell any type of plan and be sneaky like some of these pest control companies. We have a 4000 sq foot house btw. The 2nd time I called them was a general spray and the dreaded ants which most of us experience in the summer here in Reno. Well come to find out after the spray happened, we have a wasp problem. However, it wasn't the technician's fault we didn't notice it, and the wasps don't come out until closer to 10-10:30 when it gets hot and the roof gets hot. Our technician Trent was very on time, we are talking exactly 8:30am. He was very professional, and explained the treatment procedure he used for the wasps and the thought process behind treating them which I really found helpful. This company stands by their work, and they don't try to overcharge like other companies (i.e. CAD whom I used at my old house). They stand by their guarantee as well. I would highly suggest using this pest control company. read more

Showed up on time. Employees were nice and knowledgeable. Service was affordable. Just had done today and will update with the weed/ bug situation if I have problems. Update: pests service worked great. The weed service killed every living thing in my yard. Including a couple rose and honey suckle bushes, a raspberry and asparagus patch, a tree, a lilac bush, and a pine tree. I contacted them and they came to look at the property a few weeks later. They said they had never seen this happen before. And ended up giving me a $200 gift card to rail city nursery. I will not be using them again. read more

This company came out to our home to deal with a minor bedbug infestation which they found in only one bedroom. They have a 100% guarantee or your money back. They said that they would get rid of the bugs and charged us $900 for that service. They gave us specific directions to follow prior to they're coming out and spraying. We followed those directions exactly as given. We continued to see bedbugs. They continued to come out and to spray, using at least two or three different types of chemicals during this process. We did not enter or allow anyone entry into our home who had infestations in their homes. After four months with no resolution to the problem we turned to another company. This company came out, sprayed once and we have not seen another bedbug, live or dead since. We wrote a letter to Northern Nevada Pest Control requesting our money back. We received no response to our letter. I called them twice but received no response to my calls. I then called my credit card company to dispute the charge. The credit card company reversed the charge but gave Northern Nevada Pest Control three months to respond. In the last week of this process they responded. Their statements contained fabrications: i.e. we had not followed their instructions for preparing the house; we allowed for cross contamination -- coming or going from contaminated homes, etc. I would never use Northern Nevada Pest Control, Inc. again nor would I recommend that anyone else do so. Their warranty is baseless; they don't honor it. They use fabrications to cover their inadequate work or product. And worst of all, the chemicals they used caused a my spouse to develop a severe skin rash which she has still not recovered from. read more

I was referred to Northern Nevada Pest Control by my neighbor. I have 20 rose bushes that were looking pretty bad but I'm not much of a gardener. Matt stopped over to take a look after he finished at my neighbors. He identified the pests and gave me a reasonable estimate right then. He set the appoint with a 2 hour arrival window and called 20 minutes before he was to arrive. Matt even offered us a military discount which I thought was really nice. I'd highly recommend Northern Nevada Pest Control. read more

You never like bugs in your house and I certainly don't' like bugs in my business, in fact Washoe County mandates a certified bug service be in place year round for restaurants. I have had many operators service my operations over the years and I am pleased to have found a fair and honest one in Reno. The staff is courteous and comes through before we are open for business and quietly does their job. They have devices for flys and boxes for rodents and spray various mixes of chemicals for our every growing bug population. I am very happy with the results, the health dept. is happy with my operations and my customers don't see bugs, a win -win. So keep up the good work and keep the bugs out in the cold! read more

I called 3 places to get my house sprayed for spiders and this was the only place that answered so I went them since we were off to such a good start. So grateful for NNPC!!! We finally got tired of trying to battle the pesky black ants that seemed to move from one area of our house into another the past many weeks, so we called several places for quotes, including Northern Nevada Pest Control. I was so surprised to get a call back not just quickly, but by the owner herself! She set us up with an appointment that wasn't 2 weeks out (thank goodness--who has time for that!!) and gave us a very competitive quote for the job. Our tech Rick showed up on time (you know, not in the last 15 minutes of the 2 hour window we were quoted), was very friendly and helpful and left us feeling much better about the ant situation. I still haven't heard back from several of the places we called for quotes! Thank you so much, y'all! read more

Do not waste your time with this company. Christine who works in the office is the worst customer service rep I have ever dealt with in my life. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY A CENT AS THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THIER CUSTOMERS. read more

Used NNPC for: Bedbugs My grandmother's two story house was heavily infested with bed bugs. We've used NNPC on other houses, and the quote they gave me for the two story was awesome. Curt, the owner, is very professional and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. NNPC came over to the house three times; however, after the first, the majority of problem had ended. *The exterminator that was sent out the 2nd time, wasn't only in and out of the house in 5 minutes, but he also started spraying while my 3 month old was still in the living room (we were on our way out). However, after one call to Curt, he made sure to come out himself afterwards and put us back at ease. *The third time NNPC came out, they broke a 20+ mirror in my grandmother's living room, and NNPC, being as professional as they are, reimbursed us and gave us no problems about it at all. Bottom line: Great experience! There are no more bed bugs, and you can be certain that if you have any issue at all, that Curt will fix it for you! Will use in the future. read more
