I called about a scorpion problem inside my house that had been going on for about a month, and scheduled their scorpion treatment (part of their spider package). I asked for an afternoon appointment because I work late and sleep through the morning, but the technician showed up at 8am. Afterward, I kept seeing live scorpions inside the house at about the same rate as before the spray. About six weeks later, I called to ask about the guarantee on their website, which says they'll return to re-treat at no extra cost if you detect live pest activity between scheduled visits. They told me this didn't qualify for the warranty, or even a discount on the next spray, even though it fell within the re-treatment schedule they recommend. That was disappointing, since this service was not cheap, even compared to others in the area. To be fair, I haven't seen a single live spider in or around my house since the spray, so it does seem to work for general pests. But I wouldn't recommend them for scorpion problems. read more

Glen is an Excellent Technician and Celtic is an Excellent company. I say this because when we first interviewed companies last yr for our termite problem, they all wanted a monthly contract and much, much higher prices for the problem. Glen did NOT think a monthly was necessary and felt the traps he installed would suffice for any additional termite activity (after he exterminated our infestation). True-to-form, Glen was exactly right, and the termite activity in the past year was intercepted by the traps he installed with no other activity around and inside the house.. Needed a one time treatment for some weird bugs that had turned up in my house. I am moving so do not want a contract. The tech was professional and knowledgeable, and actually did a much more thorough treatment than I had requested, for the same price. I have seen the weird bugs dead now so apparently effective, but Celtic will come back one time if needed. Made absolutely no mess. read more

Celtic Pest Control operates the most professional and expert operation I have interacted with. Shout out to Glen Farnsworth who is the ultimate professional. We had a termite issue and Glen and his colleague arrived, immediately got the lay of the land, investigated the issue more thoroughly than the other larger firms I also contacted, and went to work. They analyzed the "hot spot", under the house and around the house. They also put together a plan of attack that was direct and attacked the termites where they were located. The two other larger firms wanted to trench and bore around the perimeter of the house and recommended a "treatment" that was 5X more expensive than Celtic's proposal and guaranteed to be far less effective because we were literally working around the problem (the perimeter of the house) and there was no suggestion of a direct hit. Glen was the first to suggest this plan of attack and he is nice and smart . Celtic checks all the boxes and I give them 6 out of 5 stars! Our house was approaching its first year, and we needed an inspection done to review with the builders. We called Celtic because of the great reviews, and I'm happy to report that they are 100% true. Phil was great, he arrived on time and got to work immediately, going around the entire interior and exterior of the house, including attic and roof, taking photos of any oddities along the way. He was polite and informative, carefully going over each item that needed attention. After he left, a few days later we received a detailed report that we then shared with the builders. The whole process was effortless. A big kudos to Phil and Celtic Inspection Services, they do honest, good work. We definitely plan on hiring them for their pest control services in the future too. Since I was unhappy with my last inspection company who failed to find pigeons hidden in the roof area, I changed to Celtic. I can't believe that Phil was able to do the inspection in 3-4 days. That really helped us since the seller was not paying for any repairs. We had to decide if the house was worth buying even though we would have to pay for all repairs. Glenn did our pest inspection when we purchased our home in 2012. I distinctly remember his customer service because upon exiting the crawlspace, some mud was tracked onto the carpet. Instead of hemming and hawing around the issue, he ran to the store and grabbed some carpet cleaner and took care of the cleanup without any complaints or even being requested to do so. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I am using their services for issues with mice at my rural property north of Reno. They give great text and email reminders of service dates, charge reasonably, and the employee we've been working with is wonderful (kind, courteous, respectful). Very professional and efficient services, and the job is done well! Just a few visits and our mice problem has been reduced dramatically. They can teach you what steps to keep up on your own if you want to start self-managing the problem, but also offer biweekly and monthly visits if dealing with rodents isn't your thing! This visit was to inspect for termites, to deal with some winged ants, and to spray for ants and termites. It is the second time I have used Celtic Pest Control. Carl was my technician that time as well. When I realized I had a problem with the large ants, I called Celtic right away because I remembered how pleased I had been with the time, attention, and answers to my questions from Carl with the mouse issue. This time, Carl spent time checking in the attic, the basement, and around the "infested" room and the house. He left some bait boxes and will come back in a week. While I always understand being given a range of times to expect technicians, I always appreciate getting a specific time. Carl has always shown up when he said he would. Professional, courteous, and we were careful of each other with masks and distance with the COVID virus issue. I appreciated the follow up email with invoice dates for the next visits. Glen and Nick arrived on time and ready to inspect at the scheduled time this morning, and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Both inspectors were extremely professional, and courteous, and they conducted the inspection without any fuss or delay. Last Wednesday I contracted Celtic Inspection Services on our home that was built in 2006. Glen Farnsworth was on time and did a complete and thorough inspection inside and outside of our home. I did not expect any problems and there were no problems that needed immediate attention. Glen did show me a problem with one of our Gas Heaters that will need attention and also outside where landscape mounding will cause a future problem. Glen was fast, detailed and best yet took the time to show and explain his findings. He also gave me a timeline and recommendations on when to get these future problems corrected. I hired Celtic Inspections to do complete an inspection of my home as I was concerned about some cracks I could see after the recent earthquakes we have had in the area. Phil showed up on time, inspected the outside of the house first. When coming inside, he made sure to where protection gear on his shoes as to not track in anything from the outside. Inside he did a full inspection of inside the house, the crawl space, the garage, and the attic. Once completed, he discussed with me the areas of concern he had, and within 24 hours I had a very easy to read inspection sitting in my email email inbox. I had the home inspected prior to buying it, but Phil caught some things that the other inspector did not. I really appreciate his work ethic and attention to details.
