Grab a seat at one of the long picnic tables or at the bar. Lots of sauces and breads to go with your bbq. Staff is all around and helpful, but won't bother you. They are polite and friendly. I usually head to the bar. There's often a game on, but it's not loud. Often I strike up a conversation with a new friend. Then head back to the hotel. Trust me, Great place! Head on over.

We somehow snagged nearby street parking and a table for two with no wait despite it being a busy Saturday evening after a UT football game. Make a reservation if you have a large party or are on a tighter schedule. It's a bit loud for those seated in the lobby/entrance area, but totes a vibe. For food, we ordered the blackened catfish, brisket burnt ends quesadillas, and harvest bowl to share. Everything was delicious and served quickly, even with the aforementioned dinner rush. 10/10 would order the same items again. I was so appreciative of the server splitting the entree over two plates without us asking. Did I mention the complimentary popcorn and cornbread? Twas a FEAST. I'm already thinking about the next time we're going back! If not for Moonshine, definitely for the speakeasy downstairs.

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with the store manager because we have not received the food. It is now 5pm. The manager couldn't find the order but after 30 minutes found it. He told me that I was supposed to have a delivery service pick it up. No, the website has two boxes to check, pick up or delivery. It is their responsibility to have some delivery service. A few weeks ago I ordered from the same pollo Regio for delivery. They contradicted with a service but the order was over an hour late. After being on the phone with the store manager he supposedly gave me a full credit. I have tried to contact the Austin manager but can't find him/her. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! Austin Restaurant Week takes place from August 28th through September 13th. First stop...Rollin Smoke BBQ, located in the Chalmers building, which filled with a crowd of people. I ordered a pull pork sandwich, mac-n-cheese and banana pudding. The pulled pork sandwich was huge, which I shared with the hubs. Quite honestly, I was full after eating 1/4 of the sandwich, which had cabbage, pickles and of course the pork (not the typical stringy pork but chunks of pork bursting with smokey flavor). The mac-n-cheese was substantial with cheese filled shell pasta with a hint of a smokey flavor. So yummy...Well, I might have eaten "all" the banana pudding. This was not your typical banana pudding (dense and flavorful). I certainly understand why they run out of this dessert. Service was superb! Great dining experience...

I order a very nice lite afternoon snack, 1/2 lb of Prime Pork Belly Burnt Ends, 1 Pork Sparerib, and a side of Boozy Brussels. The Prime Pork Belly Burnt Ends which are tossed in bourbon sauce and smoked again for a tender meat candy-like finish which was quite to the contrary, not overbearingly sweet, just a hint. The first time that I went to Rollin' Smoke, I wanted to order the Pork Spareribs but they weren't available so that's when I was introduced to the Pork Belly Burnt ends so today, I ordered just 1 Pork Sparerib today which was good but not great, sadly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Boozy Brussel Sprouts which were smoked and flashed fried, a balsamic glaze with whiskey soaked raisins and parmesan. I am definitely returning to check out the Half Chicken Plate with 2 small sides that I eyeballed.

It wasn't too salty which I was scared of with many BBQ dishes. I paired it with their waffle fries and it was great. I should've gotten another one! Ambiance & reservations 5/5: We stayed downtown and getting there was a breeze. I'd recommend getting reservations just in case since it was the weekend. Service 3/5: the server was sweet but she took awhile to get back with us. We waited awhile for the BBQ (which happens at most BBQ), waited 30-40 min for her to come pick up the check, and then waited another 30-40 min for her to come back with our checks. Overall I'd recommend for the food but make sure you don't have anything planned right after!

Walk-in wait was 45 min but we opted for bar seating on got lucky right away. The bar offers a good selection of beers on tap and they have a separate whiskey/bourbon drink menu. We ordered the BBQ (of course) pork ribs and Texas brisket. The brisket was noticeably dry. Fortunately, they give you cute glass bottles of BBQ sauce, hot sauce and a mustard blend. The country style pork ribs are fantastic - tender to the bone, succulent with flavors, but not a rub that's overwhelming on the palate. There's not much else - the scant amount of coleslaw is lacking, and even though we ordered two entrees, we received only one dinner role. I asked for extra bread and got charged $4 for two more rolls which is annoying and also a poor business practice. It's also confusing how you order two things for two different people and it all ends up on the same plate. And then they asked if we were sharing? The value simply isn't here - total bill ended up being $75 before tax and tip. For three ribs and overdone brisket. I suppose there were some onion rings and pickles in there as well. I'm trying another place next time. That's all.

Me and my work compadre showed up and they handed him a sign that said last person standing, that means no more brisket after us and to let others that follow us know. We split 1 lb of brisket and 1 lb of pork ribs. Potato salad, coleslaw along with the complimentary pickles shed onions you serve yourself. Absolutely delicious. Best brisket and ribs I've ever had and I smoke a lot of meat myself including brisket. Mines good but not this good. Last time I was here an elderly gentleman leaned over and said the slices of bread you don't eat are great to use as napkins. He was right! Unconventional but it works better than paper napkins. Service is fantastic and everyone seems to love working there. They have a lot of swag too. I bought a t shirt. Place is super busy and a lot of non stop activity. The decor is cool too. The aroma of the food was wonderful throughout our venue. We had a handful of vegetarian/vegan employees and the offer a smoked vegetable tray with corn tortillas as one of their options. The food we chose was a 3 meat plate with 3 sides and cookies for the dessert. We chose Brisket, Turkey and Sausage. For the sides, we had Gouda Mac and Cheese, Creamed Corn and Beans. Everything was extremely delicious and the feedback I gathered from numerous employees was nothing but positive reviews on the food. They even allow us to KEEP the leftover food!
