Beach access one block east of the hotel

We had such a nice time here today. We rented a day room off of Resort Pass and used the room to nap and freshen up after our red eye flight. After naps I took a walk to get coffee down the street and then we walked over and swam at the beach for a bit. Lots of fun in walking distance. We ordered room service and both entrees were yummy!! Super cozy pool area was also nice. Only issue we had was parking and needing to call the office to have the gate opened both on check in and check out. May be good to give guests an access code or notice of that prior to check in. We figured it out after a quick second trip around the block but something to be aware of. Overall I'd totally stay here again. Service was great and the room was clean and cozy!

My new bride and I are doing a mini moon in Miami. It's my first time here and I love it. It was a last minute decision but were able to get a booking through my timeshare. It's conveniently located one block from the beach. Super clean rooms and lobby. Nice bar area that serves food most of the day. Some interesting choices. We got the burger with arugula. I loved it. They cooked it medium just the way I wanted. They gave a bag of chips to go with it. Loved the lime and cracked pepper. Went beautifully with the burger. The entire staff has been amazing. Very friendly and helpful whenever anything is needed. Usually check in is at 3. Our room was ready early so they allowed us to check in. If it wasn't ready they were willing to hold our bags at the front while we enjoyed the pool. This hotel cares about its guests and it shows. The pool is a beautiful area with many different types of chairs to lounge or just sit. My only complaint is the water itself. The outside is kept beautifully and well maintained. They don't seem to give the sane treatment to the water. Lots of dead bugs and debris from trees floating. I know they can't be out there constantly. I was in the pool area from 9 to 12 and nobody from the staff came to check it. I'm honestly not sure if the pump is working. Overall this is an amazing hotel in a great location. I would suggest booking if there is a vacancy.

Stayed for a few days at the Hotel Trouvail in Miami Beach with some friends. It was in a great location just a couple of blocks from the beach. The weather was beautiful running in the mid 80s in late April - can't beat that ! The front desk staff was very friendly and even had our rooms ready early. The pool area is great and like an oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms are large, but had a musty, sewer smell - reported to the front desk but nothing was done. The bar has a happy hour each day but the selection is very limited. Each room had a great size bathroom and a little kitchen area with microwave and refrigerator. The hotel design is part of the art deco and the rooms follow that pattern.

Palihouse is a great brand with a French Chic 1950's beach vibe. It's a classic, intimate, boutique, hotel with a classy but relaxed clientele. Location/Beach: 2 blocks to beach and close to restaurants. Just off Collins Ave along canal (which is under construction). Easy walk to beach, south on 31st street, but honestly walking over to 29th is much more pleasant. Room & Snacks: Clean, comfy with a pleasant decor. My rooms at Palihouse have a fridge full of well selected drink options (oat milk latte, various waters, juice, beer, wine, mixed and spirits. Small coffeemaker and large basket of snack options. Bathroom: Expectations matter. Please understand some rooms have a cute, full sink area outside the bathroom, read no mirror or sink in bathroom, more European . It's functional and easy to adopt to, just keep the beach, flexible vibe. I spoke to one guest who loved because they could use sink while another was in bathroom or shower. Staff: Staff always make the hotel experience, and Daniel & Florian (front desk) and Francisco (cafe bar) were professional and friendly especially while managing all the guests needs and wants on New Years! Pool: Tropical, lush, well-seated, pool with the sun peeking through. Dine by pool, relax in a lounge chair or sit with friends in some larger cushioned chairs. Coffee, Bar & Food: The main lobby has a cafe bar which also take food orders. Sit at the bar or nearby options inside or ask to be served by the pool. The quality and variety of food options is impressive, from basic fruit plate, American bfast, salads and sandwiches to local favorites - - Torrijas, Shrimp ceviche & Pan con Bistec. Coffee is great. For the price, you will be hard pressed to find a better value. If you are looking for modern, high end finish try Faena or The Edition across the street, which are also a more formal alternatives to the casual but delicious food at Palihouse. 1 Hotel is also a great brand but for these you will pay 2 to 3x as much.

Stayed at the Palihouse Hotel, an art deco boutique motel that only opened shortly before the pandemic. While it wasn't on the ocean side, it was a short 2 block walk to the beach. And I was blessed with a great view of the creek from a top floor room, a view that was amazing to wake up to every day. Loved the combo of retro decor plus modern bathrooms. The pool was beautiful- where I had my breakfast every day & some post beach "unwinding." And though short staffed, the service from Brian, Florian, Francisco & Alex was phenomenal- made me feel like a special guest with individualized attention and quickly addressed any minor concerns! My only recommendation is that hopefully they can soon replace the hallway carpets which smell musty (room was great though- tile flooring best for the beach!). And to have more food available after 3pm, instead of just light bar snacks.

This is a quaint little hotel located just off of the beach in Miami. The entire hotel has a classic retro look right down to the bathroom hardware in your room. There is a small bar in the main floor, and a cute little swimming pool area to hang out at with your cocktail! The staff are all extremely nice and helpful. Upon arrival our room was double booked and we were immediately given an upgraded room and a company free breakfast without issue! The location is ok, it's off of a main street but there is a lot of construction going on right now which made it difficult to access the hotel. There is also minimal parking in front of the hotel and you have to pay for it. I would suggest using Uber as opposed to a rental car in the area. There is minimal parking in and around Miami Beach and most of it you have to pay for. I got a rental car and regretted getting it. We ended primarily using Uber. Our room was really nice (check out my pictures), clean and well maintained . The rooms are all primarily studios but large enough for two to spend a week there comfortably. We had a small kitchenette which worked out perfectly. They have room service which was good but a little slow. All in all this is a hidden little jewel due to the style, location and pricing.

They had the friendliest staff I've ever experienced at a stay, incredible service, amazing amenities, and beautiful decor. They provided beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella and we were about a minute walk to the beach and about 2 minutes from a Starbucks! The pool and outdoor seating area was tucked away by beautiful greenery that made it feel like we were the only place in the city. There was a brief issue with our room assignment and they immediately gave us a call to our room and offered us free breakfast the next morning. It was an unforgettable stay!

incredible boutique hotel!! the staff are amazing and i regret not remembering their names to give each one a special mention!! i cant say enough good things about each of them! if you need ANYTHING at all they'll go above and beyond for you! they give the rest restaurant recommendations and things to do. okay so about the hotel: it's so picturesque! the rooms are aesthetic, incredible views of palm trees out the window, they give you free beach chairs to borrow, you can use free bikes and they have a ride to and from the beach you can use. i think i also overheard that there's parking for $25 a night (could be wrong, but that's a pretty good/cheap price in my opinion!!) they have excellent poolside service. you can order food and drinks to your room or to the pool. they have free beach/pool towels you can borrow. we were there memorial day weekend and they had a cookout! just a couple bucks for hot dogs, ribs, potato salads and so much more! drinks are pricey but so yummy! ($20 for a poolside mojito- def worth it tho!!). i'm obsessed with how cute the hotel is! it's small and intimate, i like you can chat with people by the pool for a few days and recognize faces. feels like a community. there was construction going on on the streets surrounding the hotel while we were there which caused lots of traffic so ubering was a bit much sometimes, but overall didn't ruin our experience! i will absolutely stay here again next time i'm in miami!!!!!

Homemade breakfast.. so so so delicious.

I give Palihouse 5 stars! Their service was over the top! I stayed here this past weekend and felt right at home. This hotel Is small and quant and has a lot of character. I loved how quiet and private the hotel is and the location is perfect! There is local construction going on around the hotel, however that did not hinder my friend and I from enjoying ourselves. The staff made sure to let us know what was going on and guided us through the confusion. All the staff were super attentive and made it their mission to make sure you were enjoying yourself. Florian, the front desk supervisor is the bomb! He was kind and went above and beyond for us. I can go on and on about this hotel. I will definitely return and I HIGHLY recommend you stay at this cute hotel. Btw, the rooms are beautiful and well kept. Everything was squeaky clean and they give you robes to use while you're there.

Just a beautiful small boutique hotel.
    Julio G.

I recommend this hotel to any professional great family that we want to just get away and relax and enjoy a small little boutique hotel with all the great amenities. The staff was amazing so genuine and nice and real, the food was delicious the drinks were amazing the pool area was so nice and relaxing. And you're only a three minute walk to the beach, which I did this morning and watch the sunrise.

Stayed 4 nights at Trouvail while in Miami with my girlfriend. I felt location was perfect. Just north of south beach and a quick ride to other areas of Miami. Room was nice! Lobby and staff were great, specifically Flo. He got us into a room early for check in which helped us big time after a long flight. Hotel offers complementary bikes and umbrellas. Pool area was nice and cozy too. Would consider staying again when I come back to Miami.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

I stayed at this Marriott and generally had a good experience, but not quite a four-star one…read more The location is excellent, and the price was reasonable by luxury beachfront South of Fifth standards. The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

We spent the afternoon by the pool, enjoying drinks and snacks, which were delicious and the perfect way to relax. Later, we headed to Happy Hour at Lido, and it was fantastic. The drinks were excellent, the food was great, and the waterfront setting made the experience even more special. The entire property has a laid-back luxury feel, with beautiful landscaping, comfortable seating areas, and amazing views. Whether you're visiting for a spa day, drinks by the pool, or Happy Hour at Lido, The Standard delivers a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend for a relaxing day in Miami Beach!

The rooms have been thoughtfully re-designed, but still have that cold Miami cinder block feel. In other words you won't do more than sleep in them. The pool area is fantastic with a bay view and plenty of chairs. Lido Grill, the main restaurant, is nicely done and people / pet friendly. Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. Drinks were very good. Other points, nice mini bar in room, however NO coffee in room and coffee shop doesn't open until 7 AM. A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.
