I enjoyed the Henrosa Hotel from a material level. I did not enjoy the Henrosa employees nor their sense of hospitality. Our room was small but cute, and the hotel itself was well done and enjoyable from a comfort and aesthetic perspective. A+ on both those counts. We also used an online travel service to get a killer deal, so 5/5 stars in value as well. That said, I wasn't at all a fan of the employees or the predatory resort fee that they charge you. We were charged an extra $25 per day for access to the beach and your own beach chair-- accommodations which we never even ended up using nor did we ask for. Those are accommodations which should be included in the cost of the hotel or the very least should be optional add-ons. Regarding the employees themselves, they weren't very accommodating in my view. When I requested an hour extension to our check-out (12:00 instead of 11:00-- a standard request in my experience) we were told that we only had 30 minutes and if we went over we would be charged an additional $80. He then informed us that "someone has already reserved your room, and they will be coming then." When I mentioned that our check-in a few days before had been at 3:00 and that we had been turned away when we arrived at 2:00. He then told us that "well, if you pay the $80 you can stay until 4:00," which contradicted his point about guests already having reserved our room. The whole thing was odd. That experience and the hidden $25 daily fee left a bad taste in our mouth, hence the 3 stars. read more

The pictures on their website are very deceiving, very bad location and parking situationis bad! as soon as we walked into the hotel lobby, we were hit with very strong cleaning chemical smells, gave us headaches, the women's staff was very rude. The hotel room that we stayed in felt more like a bedroom and not a hotel room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Giving the cleanliness a 2 rating!! read more

After some research and investigation, it's not just their employees are liars. Their owner is the one lied to me at the first place. They will do anything for money and not provide you with service. Stay away as far as possible!!! Btw, a tip for travelers. They only allow good reviews on Hotel.com, if you post anything with less stars they will not post it or take it down later. So don't read Hotel.com reviews for any hotel, do your own research, because it doesn't show you travelers' honest experience. read more

Henrosa Hotel turned out to be just the place for some R&R during a recent trip to Miami. Located conveniently off of Ocean Drive, it was surprisingly quiet despite the hustle and bustle of the nearby area. Our room was comfortable, and while not spacious, it was room enough for the two of us for our one night stay. In addition to the usual amenities of delicious-smelling toiletries, it also included a small fridge and a clothes steamer. Upon check in, we learned that we could rent towels and beach equipment from the front desk, which made heading to the nearby beach a breeze. Breakfast at a nearby Cuban restaurant was also included in our stay. Other reviewers have mentioned the valet -- we skipped that and parked instead at a nearby garage, not removing our car until it was time to leave the following day. It was fast, convenient, and worked well for us. The only criticism that I have was noise within the hotel. The hallways echoed, and although we were down at the far end of one, we could hear every door closing and every guest on our floor coming and going. I tried to stuff the bathmat towel at the bottom of our door to muffle the sound, but to no avail. Regardless, for the price and location, we were happy with our stay at Hotel Henrosa. read more

Henrosa was our home away from home for a little getaway in Miami Beach, and we left satisfied. It's not a luxury place, but it has the basics, and the main asset is the location - it's about a 2 minute walk from the beach, but it faces away from Ocean Ave, so it's not crazy outside at night. If convenience is your main priority, the drawbacks shouldn't deter you. However, there were a few: + The walls are incredibly thin. You will hear even casual conversations in the rooms around you. Good luck if they are obnoxious or habe a child. + The bed is large and clean but very uncomfortable. The pillows are all one side and are impossibly thick, which gave us neck pain on night one. The rest of the stay, we slept using extra beach towels as pillows. It sounds so ridiculous when I write it out, but it kind of worked. + For our stay, late May 2021, the price was outrageous. Using a discount third party site, we ended up paying more than $300 a night, which is a price I have never paid for a hotel. And remember, this is not a luxury place. I have stayed in nicer hotels in New York, Chicago, LA, Paris, and London for half the price. If we had gone through their website directly, they were charging over $500 per night! Wild. Now, some more pros: + Location. It was our top priority, and it was worthwhile because of the time saved from traveling back and forth from downtown Miami, which is much farther than most tourists realize. + Great staff. They were very kind and accommodating. + Good wifi. We needed to work during the week, so this was also clutch. + Always stocked ice water in the lobby. Important in that hot weather. + Clean, large bathroom and reliable shower. + Free beach towels and chair rentals through Ebeneezers on the beach. They had a list of hotel guests and gave out the chairs each time we asked. Normally I believe they charge $20 per person per day. + Nice little shaded terrace out front. read more

Henrosa Hotel was a great accommodation for a bachelorette party! It did have pros and cons, but with everything considered, I will book it again! PROS The room was spacious. The decor was pretty. It looked so beautiful, very Instagram-y and feminine which we all loved. The lobby was beautifully decorated. It was always nice and cool in there so after roaming around Miami Beach, coming home to a clean and cold hotel was amazing. They also stock the front with ice-cold water. So refreshing. The staff, most especially Fabiana and Javier, were very helpful and welcoming. They were very kind and courteous, especially when we needed things for the room. They provided beach towels, breakfast at Havana 1957, and beach chair rentals which was A++!! It was affordable compared to the other hotels as close to the beach as Henrosa. We booked through Booking.com. CONS On Booking.com they are advertising queen-sized beds. I'm pretty sure it was just full-sized. They needed more hanging rods. There was nowhere to put up our wet towels. They also needed more outlets and side tables. They didn't have cable. The shower pressure could've been better. They need a deadbolt. Random people can just walk in and use their lobby restroom and water, etc. Just be aware of your surroundings as with any place! read more

My girlfriend and I stayed at Henrosa for 3 nights in March 2021. The rooms were small but they were clean, affordable, and they were well stocked up on bathroom ammenidies. Great location. Close to the beach and plenty of restaurants. The liquor store is right next door! Sadly, this is where the good part of the review ends. We decided to use Henrosa's valet service, and that ended up being a bad decision. On the morning we had to be out of the hotel early for an excursion, the front desk was unable to get us our car. We ended up taking an Uber both ways. (A lot of money!!) When I brought my concerns to the front desk, they insisted that THEY would discuss it with the manager. Later on, the front desk said we would recieve a refund for one night of the valet service ($35). We thought it was insufficient but at least it was something. Well during check out, we were informed we were getting charged an additional "large vehicle" fee for the valet service. Guess how much it cost? You guessed it! $35!!!! I have been trying to contact the manager ever since. She doesn't seem to be available over phone or email. If you don't mind being lied to about refunds or ignored by management Henrosa is the place for you. read more

Location, service and lovely hotel! This hotel is perfectly nestled on Collins Ave near all the great SOBE hot spots. Literally walk down the ally (which has a cute pizza/coffee shop) and you're on ocean drive. There's so many restaurants to choose from as well as the lovely park that leads into the beach. The rooms are a bit small but if you're visiting Miami Beach just to stay in the hotel all day then you should just be back home. The hotel is very chic and the pictures are true to the place. The hotel has about 40 rooms so it's not too busy and allows the employees to be very attentive. When we checked in I got in late so we were given the handicap room, but they kindly moved us to a new room the next time when I asked. Everyone who worked here was more than welcoming. They offer complimentary breakfast from a restaurant near by but you have to get there before 10am! They beds were super comfy, and the showers nice and warm. If you drive, which I suggest you do then valet you're car there it's totally worth it. There is so much to do in Miami than SOBE so take advantage of the whole city. My only negative was the ac didn't get very cool. You can turn the setting down but the room temp never changes and the walls are a bit thin so you can hear people closing their doors. All the pros weigh out those two cons. read more

Warning warning warning stay away from this hotel they created a life-threatening situation for my 20 year old stepdaughter I paid for a room prepaid for her on Hotwire and she showed up late at night to go to bed and nobody would come to the door of the hotel when she called them probably 25 times they claimed they did not have the reservation would not let her even into the lobby and would not have a conversation with her she was forced to sleep under a car in the parking lot like some kind of a homeless person these people should be put out of business and be boycotted by anyone who has ever had a child I cannot say enough to emphasize that this business is a menace to their clients please stay away read more

I was checking out a few hotels on Collins Ave for friends in town for Scope Art Fair. The Henrosa is a sweet Art Deco boutique hotel and they offer many of the same amenities as the bigger hotels in south beach. Eddie at the front desk was super helpful and is a credit to the hotel. When I asked about room rate and room size (as many of them are the size of matchboxes) he offered to show me one of the available rooms on the second floor. It was perfect. Nice sized bathroom (a luxury on the art deco hotels) and surprisingly roomy space. It has a very pleasing color scheme with light pink touches. I wish I was staying here. It's a 10 min walk to the zany crowded areas of south beach but still in a safe area a block off the beach. If you are looking for attentive staff, and nice touches at a fair price, look no further. read more

If you want to an honest, guaranteed customer service place to stay and doesn't steal your money- THIS IS NOT IT THE PLACE TO STAY. We stayed Thursday-Sunday. On Friday morning, we got up early to make it to our expedition we had to drive an hour away to. We asked the front desk to call the Valet so we could be on our way. When he got no answer from valet, he told us this "guy" is the worst and is on call. He tried calling again with no answer. I asked him if he or another employee had the keys or could access the car and he said no but the Manager will arrive in an hour and he can assist then. Obviously, this wasn't going to work for us. With little help from Henrosa, we resorted to ordering an Uber. While almost at our destination, we received a call thinking it was the Manager, it was just the front desk telling us our car was ready. Again...obviously at this point it was pointless, and the Manager had nothing to say to us. We ended up spending $110 for ubers and when we got back to the hotel I requested to speak to the Manager. The front desk lady, Adriana, talked in circles, refusing to provide access to the Manager. After standing there explaining the situation, she put notes into the computer, we left and carried on with our day. We returned later, Adriana said that the Manager said they would remove a days charge of valet from our account. Again...we never spoke to the Manager. On Sunday, we check out and the front desk person (older male with white hair) told us we were charged for oversized vehicle fees and to sign the credit slip. We were not AT ALL informed about this charge prior to using the valet. The front desk gave us a set price, and that is the set price that should remain. It is not our fault your staff is incapable of speaking to the correct rates for valet. YET here we are...getting charged for a mistake that is not ours. I could and SHOULD file a lawsuit against Henrosa for this! We called the hotel on our way to the airport to request to speak to the Manager, and to no surprise we were talked in circles AGAIN. They gave us an email address to send our complaint to the Manager and guess what...NO RESPONSE. I've never before stayed at in incompetent hotel in my life! The manager is clearly incapable of their job and responsibilities to provide face to face customer service with their customers. I am extremely disappointed and hope this never happens to anyone else, unfortunately I have a feeling this hotel has a history of stealing its customers money read more

The cutest hotel ever. This was mine and my boyfriends 1st time in Miami. We wanted something affordable yet close to the beach, and Henrosa was perfect for our needs! The check in and check out was quick and staff was super nice. The room honestly exceeded our expectation based on reviews i've seen on expedia. We read that the room was small and the showers didn't work and that you can't control the AC and you can hear everything that goes on in the hotel. BUT, the room was a great size for 2 people, we were able to unpack and basically move in for the next 3 days The shower was so nice with the "rain" head, very relaxing. (Not a tub) and we had no trouble with the hot water. We set the AC to 60 but it seemed that it kinda chose was it wanted to do. Sometimes it was cold and sometimes it was warm. Nothing uncomfortable or to complain about, just an observation. The distance to the beach is a block away and you can walk anywhere!!!! We could hear people walking next to our door and the neighbors we share a wall with, but again, nothing to complain about (it is Spring Break). Overall, other guests were pretty respectful when it was sleeping hours if they came back from a night out late or early, (like us at 5am) Our view was of the hotel next door but that didn't bother us considering we still got sunshine in our room when we opened the blinds and we didn't pay for a "view". I did wish that we got water bottles everyday but they're only available the day of check in, but that's definitely not a deal breaker. The bed was the best part, a lot of pillows and very comfortable comforter. We slept so well in their bed! Queen bed btw Staff straightened our room up everyday and we were very grateful for that and new towels! I would definitely stay at the Henrosa again and recommend this hotel to anyone! read more

Location was good, Hotel looked nice, and guest service was nice. But our bed was uncomfortable and our room was located next to the elevator so unfortunately the noise was out of control (end result couldn't sleep). Aside from our room location, which in reality isn't something that you can fix. The room was dirty, sheets had a stain, and floor hadn't been swept in a while. Just info: Resort Fee - $25 Valet Parking - $35 Deposit/Authorization - $200 (Do cash, if you do card it takes 1-3 days to get back in the card) Breakfast included with voucher at different location Beach- Right behind the hotel cross Ocean Drive, Chair and Beach towels included read more

This new boutique hotel is such a great find! Initially found it from a pricing search but I would definitely return and choose it right off the bat. The place has been completely remodeled and not only does it fit right into Miami decor but it builds upon it with interesting new flourishes. The room included a large bathroom with Italian style shower and everything was very clean and nicely arranged throughout the room. Even a classy little glass refrigerator. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and I was pleased to be offered free baggage storage when we arrived early from the airport. read more

Do NOT stay at this location. They are not customer service oriented and racially bias to people of color! Rooms look nothing like the pictures along with no air! The front desk employee Michael made me cry on my birthday and ruined a trip I saved up so I came prepared with cash. Micheal who said he was not the manager told me that I couldn't check in because I needed 200 dollars on my card for deposit. I didn't have that on my card but I did have it in cash. micheal told me i would not be able to stay there without the charge going to my card. I was alone on this trip. Which I told him. Instead of giving me any solutions or telling me my options he insisted on me leaving to go to another hotel. The website i booked with called to plead with him. Long story short I had to make some risky decisions to get the money just to find out from a friendlier employee that I could have paid in cash and saved 3 hours of crying and scrambling. Peopple were starring and it was embarrassing. MICHEAL WHO DOES MORNING SHIFTS STARTING AT 8 AM SHOULD NOT WORK AT THIS HOTEL OR ANY HOTEL. And he gave me a smaller room than I reserved. read more

Location, location, location! The Henrosa Hotel on South Beach is a great little place to stay for a few nights while you visiting South Beach. It is recently remodeled,so that being said it is a clean, modern place to stay.Rooms are average size compared to other hotels in The South Beach area where I stayed before.Bathroom is very spacious, clean.Shower was a bit tricky to figure out-for a while I thought there is no hot water but luckily my smart and handsome husband showed me how to set the water for my desired temperature. Our friends in a room next to us weren't able to get warmer water then lukewarm....The bathroom is clean and fancy looking but I think a bit difficult to use.Our room was on the second floor, room 205 and 201. 201 was facing Collins Ave,very busy street with a nightclub kitty corner from the hotel's front so it was noisy-but hey we did not go to SoBe to sleep! Also the elevator is across from room 201 so it kept beeping all night long, kind of annoying... No parking on premises, but you can safely park your vehicle at a public parking on 16th street about a block up on Collins Ave-5 minuets of walking for $20/day.Lots Of Valet parking companies are using the same garage to park people's cars there. Beach is about 5 minuets walk through a little alley way right next to the hotel, cross Ocean Drive and you are there Breakfast was included, which is money saver and great if you don't have high expectations for breakfast. The hotel give us a voucher to Il Bolognese restaurant what was ok. The breakfast restaurant is about a 10 minuets walk from the hotel, right on Ocean Drive. It was ok.Stuff was not very friendly with customers with vouchers. They would not let us sit outside because we "only" had the voucher(preferred to sit the "paying" customers in the prime spot),menu was limited and service was soooooo slooooow, but the food was ok. So back to the hotel it was a very positive experience! Book there with confidence and feel the SoBe vibe! read more

The common areas of this hotel are very nice and the first receptionist was professional and helpful, the rooms are small but nice. Unfortunately that's where the good reviews end. The thermostats are nothing more than decoration. The room was uncomfortably hot all night, the walls are paper thin, and our bathroom smelled like a locker room. When I asked the second receptionist about the a/c she acted as if though I was bothering her. With upgrades this could be a very nice hotel, but not one I will ever visit again. read more

I stayed here for 3 months with my friend while we were doing exchange program in university. Back then, we were students and we were short in cash. We found this place, and it was a cheap motel. I remember the hotel staff being so rude, the carpet was stinky, we had a huge roach in our bedroom and called the receptionist (they never came) . I don't event need to mention the electric switch with free cables hanging outside in our bathroom, nor the broken tiles that can easily hurt you. On our last month, they wanted us to leave in the middle of the month and never returned the half month money that we've already paid. We wanted to see the manager but he said that the prices went higher since the season had changed. We wanted to do something about it, called the police but we didn't have a written contract. This is a big time scam, I simply hate this place. read more

Great super clean newly renovated hotel with amazing staff. Phillip and Samuel were awesome!Amazing location, steps away from shopping, dinning and great restaurants. $25 a day resort fee gets you free breakfast vouchers at nearby restaurant Havana 1957 with good food options(eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage pancakes, bagels) and FREE beach lounge chairs. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend this hotel to all family and friends. Can't wait to go back!!!! read more

FIVE STARS ALL DAY EVERY DAY! I'm one of those people who are extremely picky about my hotels. They have to be clean or else I'm not touching/sleeping on anything. For some reason this standard sometimes requires a hefty nightly price tag. This is especially true where the hidden resort fee suddenly doubles your price tag. Fortunately for a group of 4 of us the Henrosa Hotel turned out to be a steal in the heart of South Beach Miami. Newly renovated the hotel is clean with great amenities. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious with a large bathroom. The $25 resort fee per room included breakfast at a restaurant on Oceans Drive (eggs, bread/bagel, homefries, tea/coffee), 2 beach chairs per room (Esteban's), and beach towels. When we checked out, the hotel happily stored our luggage and invited us to use the beach chairs and towels that day despite not staying there any longer. Will definitely come back and stay here again in a heart beat. The hotel exceeded our expectations and I would recommend it to anyone. Of note, right behind the hotel is a running path to the beach, Starbucks, and in the alley is a cute Italian restaurant. The hotel is also a safe walking distance away from the South Beach nightlife including Oceans Ten, Mangos, and the Clevelander. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Great location ! You can walk to all the places ! The free breakfast was sooo delicious it was at Havana 1957 and it is beautiful and has delicious food! Also the room was really nice! All staff was so sweet and helped us book for any tour around Miami. but there is a 200 security deposit when you first get there and check in that you pay but as long as you don't break anything and the room is in good condition, you get it refunded back to you ! I would suggest use cash because it's a quicker refund, they said card can take 10 days or longer for refund so just bring 200 in cash if you don't want to wait for the refund ! And it's smells soo amazing in there!! But i really recommend this hotel ! The shower is also beautiful! read more
