Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay. I checked in and almost immediately realized that the room was nothing like what I expected based on the listing and photos. The room was dirty and dusty, and the worst part was finding multiple long hairs on the bed sheets. The room was also extremely cold, and adjusting the temperature did not fix the issue. On top of that, the elevator was not working properly. The conditions were bad enough that I decided I could not stay there. I left the hotel before the official 4:00 PM check-in time and had to find and pay for another hotel. What made the experience even worse was how the situation was handled afterward. Before leaving, I explained the problems to the front desk and was told to contact Expedia regarding a refund. I was later told through Expedia that the hotel claimed I had been offered another room, which did not happen. I was not offered another room. I was actually told that there were no rooms available. I have photos documenting the condition of the bedding, so this is not simply a complaint about personal preference. After spending considerable time trying to resolve the situation, I was ultimately left paying for a hotel room that I did not stay in because of the conditions I encountered. Based solely on my personal experience, the cleanliness, condition of the property, and handling of my complaint were completely unacceptable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to others.

I used hotel croydon as a day hotel and it was fantastic. The hotel is in a great location and is super cute. My check in was 10am and I arrived a little early but they locked my bags away and I was able to walk across the street to the beach. When I arrived back, my room was ready. I've not previously used a day hotel so wasn't sure what to expect-I mean will they put me in the basement or an old room. Not at all, the room was on the typical floor and was extremely clean. They went for modern decor and it absolutely worked on this refurbished building. There is a doorman, elevator, rooftop and restaurant on property. So, if you need a day hotel - this is it. Thanks hotel croydon I'm a hotel snob and definitely will return.

I stayed for a couple of nights at the Hotel Croydon when visiting Miami Beach. This boutique hotel was cute. The room was on the smaller side, which was not an issue for me. Everything was clean. There was lots to like: + The location was excellent on Miami Beach. Close to ocean. Near the bus line. Easy to get to South Beach. + The price (off season) was good. + The hotel is overall cute and everything was clean. + Two rooftop areas are nice for hanging out. + Shower pressure was good and the water was hot. For me there were a couple of things I did not like: - There really was nowhere to work (not their fault). - The biggest negative was they advertised a fitness area, but I would not call it that. I ended up just running.

Great location, great views and very clean! Across the street from the beach and within walking distance of many great restaurants! The reason for the four star rating is there was some confusion at check-in over payment. I don't want to be overcharged as this was already pre-paid. The pool is quite dirty and needs to be cleaned, so I did not use. After I posted this review the pool was cleaned! This is a small hotel with a very small lobby area. Elevators can be slow and crowded. Complimentary coffee in the morning but it can be very crowded, make sure to be there right at 7a or a little before. There is also water and sweets available during the complimentary coffee hour! There is also a happy hour from 5p-6p in the lobby which was a very nice touch! Overall a nice stay!

The water is pretty murky.

We're staying here now. They are SO VERY UNACOMMADATING!! They have a room to keep your luggage in during the day while waiting for check-in time. This room remains virtually unused overnight. We asked to keep our e-bikes in that room overnight because the bicycle rental requires they're kept indoors overnight. The front desk REFUSED our request. We DIDN'T want them to bring them in themselves in or babysit them. They SUGGESTED locking them to the street signs because they DON'T even have a bike rack. I asked their restaurant that DOESN'T do room service for a menu to take to my room. NO was the answer to that. The room is nice. The bed is comfortable. We reported our clogged toilet and slow draining sink as we left for the afternoon yesterday and they were were fixed when we returned. The pool was a bit murky when we got here 2 days ago and is still murky.

Very accommodating and tranquil hotel. Staff is very assisting and helpful. Peaceful and quiet in Mid-Miami Beach in a very nice, relaxing neighborhood. Not lively as South Beach and I appreciate that. The only critique(s) is that the pool in slight need of a cleanse and complimentary coffee is from 7-8a, sharp! Very nice housekeeping and water is avail in the lobby and if there aren't any avail, simply ask and you shall receive! Definitely recommended! Kudos and shoutout to Mauro, Diana, and Ana!

Location Location Location!! This hotel is nestled in a great spot if you love being right by the ocean but hate paying wayyyy too much for it. There is no parking, but there's a structure called garage 6 just 5 minutes away. Nice walk anyway! Carlos went above and beyond to make our stay special! Our room was super clean, and it had been beautifully decorated to celebrate 2 birthdays. We received a complimentary bottle of champagne too, and we were kindly allowed to check out late. The entire staff was just lovely and pleasant % recommended

This hotel is disgusting!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Trust me it's pretty bad. I have no idea WHY HotelTonight is supporting this rat trap?! So disappointed with them for even offering this place. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, and I have been all over the world. There is no parking anywhere. I really don't know where to begin because there were so many problems. The ONLY saving grace is that the staff are friendly, minus the General Manager Luis. That guy is one of the nastiest people I have been meet in the hospitality industry. He keep giving me dirty looks after HotelTonight contacted them about all the problems... way to deal with your issues in a professional manner ‍ The room, the restaurant, literally every inch of the hotel was disgusting; filthy, in desperate need of renovating, basically falling apart. See photos for yourself. They only clean the rooms every three days, they do NOT have minibars (false advertising), the TV was so old it had burn marks all over it (look like someone left a game of Tetris stuck on it for a year), and had like 10 channels (hope you like QVC ), the bathrooms were so gross, lol felt dirtier after I came out The restaurant smells like the back of a Hooters, it was foul. The staff has no idea what they are doing. Every single time I was at the bar they were putting away dishes and completely ignoring the customers, that's what a bar back is for (I put myself through college bartending). It's completely disorganized, no one to seat you, I have no idea who had what job?? They have ONE elevator (that I could find) and I thought I was going to get stuck in it every single time I got in LOL There was water dripping from the ceiling vents onto the hard floors in the hallways, surprised no one has broken their neck. They say a pictures worth a 1000 words, well I took enough to write a novel. Just see for yourself.

The hotel itself was laid back, and in a great area. It had great vibes and a nice staff plus great views on the rooftop. The only and most annoying thing was that the bed frame was PEELING, but peeling bad. We had white stuff on our hair and just all over and it took a bit to realize where all the white stuff was coming from. When we looked closely at our sheets and pillows they were covered in soooo much of the peel. We had to dust everything off to get all the bits of white stuff and used a blanket we found in the closet to cover the whole bed frame so that we could sleep.

From the rooftop deck.

The evenings were great as we were able to sit out on the balcony and relax, while at the same time being in the lobby or hitting the restaurant was always great. We took advantage of the on-site yoga classes and the beach every day while we were there. The beach area was nice, in the servers supporting the beach I felt did their best to accommodate all of the guests outside. If you're a frequent AMEX user, I would definitely recommend going through your AMEX as it really did just make a difference. The grounds were well kept the pool was clean. The staff was friendly and most importantly, we had an overall great experience. I would definitely recommend it for anybody coming to South Beach to come here, as it's centrally located and it's easily accessible to lots of other activities you may want to consider.

If you're considering booking Loews Miami Beach Hotel, do it. I was torn between this hotel and 1 Hotel South Beach, but ultimately Loews was the more cost-effective choice, and I'm so glad I chose it. Are there more families with children here? Yes. But honestly, the location, beautiful pool, and being just steps from the beach made this stay 100% worth it. The convenience and overall experience were unbeatable. A special shout-out to Caitlyn, who checked us in and went above and beyond. She was truly an A-star front desk agent -- warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. She was the cherry on top of an already incredible stay. She even went out of her way to leave us a little dessert to celebrate one of our birthdays. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality is what makes a stay memorable. Our servers and bartenders were also polite, professional, and engaging throughout our visit. We would often venture outside to admire the hotel's beautiful garden, which was lit up with candles and had a stunning swimming pool outside the lounge bar. Unfortunately, the bar itself was too dark, leaving everything in shadow. Despite this, the rooftop restaurant served delicious Brazilian cuisine and had friendly customer service! The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

I had been looking forward to the…read moreincluded spa experience, and while I really enjoyed the facilities and waterfront setting, our room was a letdown. We stayed in Room 6, which had a private outdoor courtyard with a bathtub. The room was described in terms of minimalist design and Scandinavian style, but to me it felt more like an industrial Scandinavian dormitory-motel room than a spa hotel room. The beige speckled linoleum flooring reminded me of grade school, and the toilet had a foot-operated flush lever like those in public restrooms. There was a small marble sink on a wooden stand, a wooden futon with a red-and-white striped cover, and three windows with wooden blinds. Tiny tables extended off the bed, just large enough for a Kindle, phone, and glass of water. I fell asleep listening to the blowing noise from the air conditioning, followed by about 15 minutes of a popcorn popping sound. On the positive, the room was kept at a comfortable temperature and two pairs of ear plugs were provided. Our room, booked through the American Express Hotel Collection, included a $30-per-person breakfast credit that could be used for a room service breakfast or at Lido Bayside Grill. With only a small metal-and-plastic folding table for dining in our room, I chose the beautiful bayfront view at Lido instead! The private courtyard was attractive, with white pebbles and a flowering tree. Fabric panels and a hanging curtain served as the walls and door separating our courtyard from the neighbors and the walkway. The door curtain fluttered open in the breeze, so it didn't feel especially private with people walking by. We could hear our neighbors talking next door, which made it rather awkward to sit naked in the tub at night, knowing that when we stood up, our silhouettes could be visible through the fabric panels. The tub was just large enough for the two of us to sit facing each other. The spa and pool facilities and bayfront location really made this hotel. We loved the large waterfront pool, comfortable padded loungers, and gradual sloping entry into the water. The adults-only atmosphere was relaxing, and the views across Biscayne Bay toward the Miami skyline were beautiful. The poolside service was great, and everyone was so nice. The spa offered an impressive variety of experiences, including a hammam with heated stone platforms and soaking tubs, a eucalyptus steam room, sauna with a view of the bay, rainfall shower, Ice Room (actually a room with chilled air rather than ice), and relaxation area. I particularly enjoyed moving between the warm and cool spaces. We also appreciated the complimentary wellness classes. My husband and I attended Tai Chi with Jackie, who guided us through gentle movements while we enjoyed the views of the water, palm trees, and sky. It was a wonderful way to begin the morning. She did a great job explaining the movements. The poolside and Lido staff were helpful, including Richard, Sophia, Jabar, and Eric, who assisted us during our stay. Megan was especially sweet, offering restaurant suggestions and explaining the complimentary water bicycle and kayak rentals. We enjoyed relaxing at Lido Bayside Grill, particularly the waterfront views and Mon - Thurs Happy Hour from 4-6 pm with $12 cocktails. It was a lovely place to sit by the water and watch the changing light over the bay. Overall, I would happily return for the spa, pool, wellness classes, and relaxing waterfront atmosphere. For a hotel at this price level, I expected a more comfortable and attractive room. I think the room could have a more inviting atmosphere with wood-look flooring, wooden tables in the bathroom and bedroom, and some artwork. A way to secure the bottom of the courtyard door curtain to prevent it from fluttering open would also be helpful. The Standard Spa offers a unique experience with its lush gardens, inviting sitting areas, wonderful spa and pool facilities, and bayfront dining. Despite my disappointment with the room, I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay. Thank you to the wonderful staff at The Standard!
