I also had the Caesar salad, which was very good. Two others ordered the sea scallops (four scallops) that came with risotto and asparagus. They both thought it was very good. One had the fish and chips (a nice size piece of fish) and the last person had the veal parmesan. They thought their food was okay. We all agreed we may not dine here again because of the distance from where we live and having favorite restaurants with better food with shorter driving distances.

I had pointed at a table that people were sitting at and were boxing food and I asked if this table was available. She said no because that table was a table for four. I've actually been here with my husband and sat at said table of four. The party of four behind us was seated immediately, at that table. I completely understand that larger tables are often reserved for bigger groups, especially during busy hours, but it became frustrating when we ended up waiting over an hour for our food. The table seated after us had already eaten, paid and left before we even received our meals. There were also several careless mistakes throughout the experience. My cup arrived with lipstick stains and smudges on it. They did apologize and replace it immediately, which I appreciated. A dishwasher not washing a lipstick stain is not really in their control, but it is in their control to serve me a dirty glass. When my food arrived, it was completely covered in sesame seeds to the point that it looked excessive and unintentional. My husband actually watched the girl, who was the one in charge I guess of filling sauce and grabbing dishes from the kitchen, dump the sesame seeds onto the plate, and even our waiter, who was not the person handling the dish, agreed that it looked drenched in them. They corrected the issue for us, but for a meal that cost over $100 (including tip, for a table of 2) without alcohol, I expected more attention to detail. They were all really understanding of the issues and corrected them. On top of that, someone who was not our server added two extra drinks to our bill when we were paying. That was $11 on our bill. Again, mistakes happen, especially in busy restaurants, but after multiple issues throughout the meal, it started to feel careless rather than accidental. I do appreciate that staff tried to fix the problems when we brought them up, but I wish there had been more mindfulness and attention to detail overall.

If there's an issue it gets solved quickly. The Mayfair location of Playa Bowls does not care about customer retention. They would prefer to hire young and good looking women who are not the friendliest or the quickest problem solvers. I have ordered Doordash Playa 16 times in the last 20 days. Today was the first time I ever went in that store. Because I do not have my Doordash full ingredients memorized, I tried pulling up Doordash in the store. For whatever reason, it was not working. The pretty young girl behind the register could not care less and in fact seemed rather irritated. The other pretty young girl making my food did not understand what I was trying to tell them when I figured out that Doordash had marked their business as being closed. I made them aware of this but they didn't care. They suffered from an excruciating lack of curiosity and customer retention skills because I will not be spending any more money at the store. I'm gonna make my Doordash person go all the way over to the other one so they get the money. I promise you, when I stop ordering from your store you're gonna notice. Whoever manages or owns this location needs to consider hiring people based on their skills and experience with customer service. I know it's a beach town, but there are a lot of really talented young people out here. And all of them would be better than the pretty ladies you like to look at. That's why they got hired. When I DoorDash from this location, I usually have to remind them to include the smoothie because they have forgotten it five times. Five times on the DoorDash order of two items. I should be able to get my order under 10 minutes. That's not possible at this location, even if they aren't busy. Because the people who work there do not care about their jobs and it is very obvious as soon as you go into the store. Let's see what the manager responds to now. I guarantee the owner is male and hires young women under the age of 30 based on how much he likes to look at them, not their skill set. That is a lie that men believe believes themselves.

I highly recommend ordering your drink at 50% sweetness unless you really love sugar more than coffee. I would rate the quality of their coffee at about 2 1/2 to 3 stars, and I would give their menu 1.5 stars. Typically, service is about 3 1/2 to 4 stars, but today it was just one star. I don't usually leave negative reviews on yelp, but actions have consequences. If you don't like customers, please don't work in customer service. And if you don't like the way people look, maybe work in a different area. Or maybe recognize your prejudice and work on that.
