In Wilmington, we would get our smoothies here. And I have to say, I'm not new to smoothies, but this place schooled me! I had never had a fruit smoothie with peanut butter in it before, so I tried the PB & J. OMG! That thing is addictive. But then one of the girls there suggested some additions. Man, by the time we moved, I had a pretty amazing smoothie as my usual. They have really great hours too, which is rare of places in Wilmington. The smoothie was just to be as expected, cool, refreshing and tasty, perfect for my after workout snack. 5 stars!! The service was... awkward. I open the door and I'm the only customer, it's obvious that the two ladies working were having a good time and as soon as I stepped in.. silence. No greeting, no chit chat, no anything.. I felt like I had interrupted something so I found a smoothie quickly and ordered. They were polite, followed me around the room with their eyes in silence, smiling. Maybe some customer service training.. Customer service is HUGE for me, I did retail, waitressing. and fast food for so long, no excuse. 1.5 stars!! Thankfully the smoothie was made with haste and I was out. I liked the decor, looked more like a cozy coffee shop but it was nice, I wasn't about to sit in the awkwardness In that moment though.. 3.7 stars!! read more

Love me a good smoothieeeeeee! This is our go-to after the beach. We stop at the Donut Inn in the morning and in the afternoon we stop for a smoothie. Super friendly staff - always giving great suggestions on what to order and overall, good peeps. There's something for everyone, you can't not find a smoothie you won't like. I love any fruity mango and strawberry ones, they sometimes have specials on the dragon fruit. Definitely recommend if you're driving back from Wrightsville and pass it! read more

Terrible experience. The server was reading the poster on the wall when trying to figure out what was in the smoothie we ordered. Drop the blender lid on the floor and did a quick rinse under water without soap and put the lid back on the blender with our smoothie ingredients in the blender! Gag!!!!! While ordering and waiting for a pickup, a young girl had dropped off her resume, when she had left the store 4 young employees were laughing and mocking her resume out loud. This was my favorite smoothie place because the worker there was super nice. Lindsey's my favorite. Whenever I'm there, she always gave me samples and helped me with my inability to decide. I was never a big smoothie person until I came here mostly bc of the friendly service from this girl. I don't think she works there anymore which is unfortunate. This place was alright, kind of expensive and I only liked one smoothie I got there. Service was slow but the workers are polite and friendly. I had the captain cherry, it was just ok. I also got the twigs and berries which was really good but I didn't like paying 11$ for 2 smoothies though. It's small on the inside but I like how colorful it is. The girl who made my smoothie actually sized it up because she made too much, which not every smoothie place does (looking at you, Jamba), but I thought the smoothie was a little too sweet for my taste and a bit cloying on the tongue, so I didn't finish it. My daughter, my mom and I stopped here today and we were very pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was and how good the smoothies were. Unlike the last smoothie place we visited in Mayfaire who were very snooty and unhelpful, the staff here was very patient with us and encouraged us to be creative. We tried the Crazy Bee, Thorberry and Java the Nut - all of which were very tasty with a proper balance of tart vs sweet. We were a little disconcerted by the sizes that are offered - the smallest size is 16 oz. - but we felt they were a good value for the price. We're looking forward to going back and trying something else. read more

Very energetic staff always ready to take your order. Nice variety of different smoothies from protein ones to fruit ones. Also they have many sizes reasonably priced. I would have given 5 stars if the staff hadn't talked poorly (and loudly) about the customers while I was waiting for my smoothie. I arrived 30 minutes before closing time (after hearing the complaining I was sure to check my watch). There was one other customer in the place sitting at a table eating a smoothie. I ordered my usual, paid, tipped, and waited. I then listened to the two girls complain about people coming in when they were close to closing, how they could cleaning up but now they have to deal with the customers. They went on and on, talking loudly, dramatically, and almost as though they wanted me to hear them. I come here a lot for wheat grass shots, but I recently got my wisdom teeth out so Planet Smoothie has been a lifesaver and I rush to get here for dinner every day right now, but these girls made me feel like I was doing something wrong by showing up at 6:30 when they didn't close until 7:00. I would highly recommend management to discuss with the young, college age staff that disrespecting your customers is not a good way to go. I am only 5 years out of college, and spent many years working in food and beverage so I am aware of appropriate behavior. I will go back, but hope in the future I don't feel guilty about it and uncomfortable as I wait. There is nothing worse than tipping $3 on a $7 smoothie and having to listen to two, young girls complain about your business. read more
