We walked in and immediately I thought to myself, "this place needs a clean." Which further proved my case with the attached photo. Behind the counter was absolutely atrocious and that's just what we could see. I had the BLAT sandwich and it was very basic. No flavor - I could make better at home. The coffee was not great either. I dumped it and grabbed the one I left in the car. Not impressed at all, unfortunately. This place has potential, as it's a really cute concept with the house and all, but we won't be back.
We were coming here for our vacation. It gets busy during the brunch hours. The line was out the door. But there was plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. It looks like a house converted into a cafe. It would be a great place to work or study here. I got the coconut bowl, which was a little bit runny. I wish it was more thick and creamier with some honey to sweeten it. The BLAT was really good. I loved the paprika paired with the avocado.
We stopped in for brunch and had a great experience overall! You do seat yourself, which is nice for flexibility, but just know that finding a table can be tricky if it's during a busy time. The ordering process is simple--you place your order at the counter, get a number, and then your food and drinks are brought right to your table. The menu is on the smaller side, but every item we tried was fresh and absolutely delicious. Service was relatively quick, and I loved the unique dining options inside--it gives the place a fun character. Definitely a spot worth trying if you're in the mood for a cozy brunch!
Service was friendly and quick. Smoothie bowl was a 9 out of 10. Breakfast burrito 7 out of 10. Honey biscuit 5 out of 10, the honey made for an odd consistency. Honey vanilla latte was good, the chai is a true chai and flavorful. The cafe is very unique. From the outside it looks like a normal beach house, just pink. Inside you are met with a very architecturally unique design. Very calming and well put together. We would visit again.
Came here around 11 am on a Saturday. Traffic was very busy to get here but easy to park once we were there. There is a bunch of drinks, smooth bowl, and sandwich options. The inside is very cute with seating upstairs on the inlet and three outside patio seats. It is a nice vibe there. I ordered the avocodo toast. I really liked the lemon and goat cheese. I wish it was a little bigger but it was still good! Price was okay for ~$11. A nice meal though!
It was my first time here and both of the items that I wanted on the menu were not available because they were out of biscuits and out of croissants before it was even 10:30/11. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like spending $12 on açaí bowl when on the island it's only about 10. The service was nice and the view was really nice but with the limited menu, and even more limited supply of inventory I wouldn't go back. My friend's previous experience also proved that they were also out of croissants when she came the last time, a month previously. kind of disappointing.
Such a cute concept. It's a big, old house. So many little areas for seating, from two at a small table to a group huddled up together on a couch. The honey on biscuit was to die for. I ordered my eggs incorrectly and they were gracious enough to scramble one up right quick. Staff were amazing and helpful, kind, gracious. Thank you from a mom of 5 and 7 yo girls. My daughter at one point started just eating the pieces on her plate because it was so good. Then finished her little sisters.
The service was great and quick. The coffee was yummy, and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the view you had outside on the back deck and the inside was modern and cozy
The chorizo burritos were amazing and filled with flavor. The summer salt smoothie was filling and fresh. The service was good and helpful. The scenery was a vibe and so beautiful. 5/5 recommend!
This place was so cute! I went here for my birthday and it was an amazing pick. The view of the water was very pretty to see, and my açaí bowl and coffee was great. The service was very good and everyone was super nice. I highly recommend this place and the pitaya açaí bowl!
Had the egg and cheese croissant and avocado toast with bacon! I can honestly say this was the best avocado toast I have ever had! It was very filling and definitely made my mouth water! The aesthetic of this place is literally cute and very relaxing! Highly recommend checking this place out while on vacation!! Also the drinks were good as well! We had a dirty chai and Carmel macchiato both delicious. I love a good local coffee shop!
Delicious cozy place for a light lunch or breakfast. Juices were really awesome. Bowl was great.

The good: the kale Caesar salad is the best salad I have ever had anywhere. The combination of the dressing with the crunchy chick peas is to die for. The whole restaurant is super cute, albeit it does get really hot inside with only fans when there are lots of people inside. The tables are clean and the staff is friendly. The avocado toast has awesome goat cheese and the bacon you can add on is wonderful. The bad: Honestly extremely disappointed today. This is my third time here and I've been recommending them to all of my friends and family. We came in at 2 pm when they close at 4, drove 30 minutes for lunch, for the "kitchen to be closed". No where on their website or anywhere else do they advertise that they may close the kitchen early and I asked when it typically closes and they said they can just decide to close it when they feel like it, so they're only serving coffee and smoothies. We opted for smoothie bowls and they were completely liquid, we had to drink them and not eat them with spoons. There was also chunks of frozen fruit that didn't get blended and there was no spirulina and zero coconut flavor. Not sure who was working today but it was honestly such a bad experience that I don't think I'll be back or be recommending them to people anymore. $13 for basically a banana and handful of blueberries with melted juice and frozen pineapple chunks is highway robbery. Added two stars for the two prior experiences, I guess. read more

Do not get the matcha here. Stick to açaí bowls & food. They don't have a whisk for the matcha & just pour it into milk. read more

Cute cafe on the water with a view of the Surf City Bridge from almost every spot inside, and certainly from the deck. The interior is clean and inviting with lots of windows for great views of the waterway. Very friendly service with staff who really seem to enjoy being there and working with customers. My usuals are the beet smoothie and acai bowl. The beet smoothie tastes like a strawberry shake with a bit of a bite. The acai bowl is really indescribable. It begins with the taste of lemon zest for a flavorful brightness. The fruit is always fresh, and it is always crafted with artistic flair. If I could eat here every day, I would. read more

Enjoy a great cup of coffee with amazing views. The cute modern building backs up to beautiful views. The menu offers smoothies, fresh juices, bowls, coffee and food. Draft beer on tap, wine and mimosas also offered. I would definitely recommend stopping by, grabbing a drink and then heading upstairs to find a seat with a view! Plenty of parking and some outside seating. read more

I've been coming to Surf City with my family for the past few years and I'm not sure how we've missed this gem in the past! I got a smoothie and an iced coffee & my husband got a juice! We also got to try some of their daily drip coffee. The baristas were very friendly. We both really enjoyed all the drinks we tried. My niece & nephew now love decaf caramel macchiatos, too! We decided to make it our last stop on our way out of town again because it was so good. I got the same smoothie & coffee. Definitely make this a place you go when you visit surf city! It did seem like seating was limited for a busy morning BUT very lovely choices if you can snag one. read more

Super cool and chill coffee shop that also offers great food choices and many different seating options. The interior has a nice and clean minimalistic style that more coffee shops should take note of. The staff is friendly and they bring the food or drinks to where you sit. We got oat milk lattes and they were made very well! We are looking forward to coming back and trying their açaí bowls along with more lattes. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a nice chill coffee shop to relax at and not feel cluttered like most other coffee shops in the area. read more
I wanted to give this place 5 stars, I really did. The location is a 5. The building is a 5. My breakfast sandwich was a 5. My $8 juice never made it to me, that's a zero. What perplexed me was the guy that delivered my bacon egg and cheese on a croissant, asked if I had anything else coming. I said yes, a juice. Granted I'm on the top floor, outside on the deck-which I happened to tell the cashier when I placed my order. The food delivery guy found me. Why didn't my juice?! Anyway, as I cleared my table and brought my number (to identify my order) down, the guy asked me again if I was waiting for something else. I gave him my receipt and said I'd like my juice as soon as I returned from the ladies room. The juice (#2) was great-apple, cucumber, turmeric and a few other items- was good. Not $8 good. It was warm and separated like it was sitting there all along. I get it, sometimes places have an off day, but shoosh, that was a bummer. read more

I have always appreciated the warmth of a mom-and-pop store and even more so when it serves fresh and organic food. So far I have dined in for breakfast and popped in to get a smoothie on 2 other occasions. I look forward to sampling the rest of the menu. read more

So I'll start with I think my review is partially based on my food choices. First, there is a deck and some outdoor seating. We assumed we'd be able to bring our dogs on the deck but unfortunately had to just sit at some picnic tables out front without shade. we didn't mind but if you don't like sitting in the sun it wouldn't be for you! I had the avocado toast which was generally underwhelming. It seemed more like a premade Avocado purée/mash than freshly made and the bread texture was semi-toasted which made it seem kind of stale. My friends had the breakfast burrito and croissant sandwich and both really liked theirs. Our drinks were all good. Overall, I'd probably come back to try it again and make other options in terms of ordering, but it wasn't my fave. read more
Location is really cute, smoothie and sandwich were good... don't get the avocado toast. I saw the photos here and thought it looked great. I got two halves of one piece of bread instead of two pieces. No greens. If there was cheese on this I couldn't tell you. This looked nothing like other photos I saw. read more

Great spot with views of the inter coastal and surf city bridge. The building is a house that was renovated so plenty of areas to tuck into to work or talk with a friend. Had the coconut bowl and coffee. Both were great! read more
There was a line when we entered here. The menu was easy to see there are gluten-free and vegetarian options. The staff was super super friendly. We ordered two açai bowls, one BLTA and one burrito. The açai balls were a little melted when they arrived to our table and average. The burrito however smelled delicious and tasted really good. The BLTA was average. There is outside seating and upstairs seating cute little area honestly. a lot of people seem to be meeting for coffee and doing work. Definitely a place to stop if you needed to get some work done while on vacation the staff were super friendly like I said, but it did take around 25 or more minutes to get the food. Beautiful view if you sit outside though! read more

One of my absolute favorite breakfast places in Surf City. I'd also say probably the best for a calm enjoyable breakfast. My wife and I have come here multiples times over the past 2 summers when visiting. There is parking! Beautiful interior space and outdoor seating on the water- deck and out front. Views and breakfast, what more do you need. Oh, the service- which is phenomenal. Staff is realistically small but really does a great job when busy pumping out food and coffee. The coffee is amazing. Lattes are on point as well as the cappuccino. The Avocado toast and breakfast burritos are a MUST'! They are made with simple fresh ingredients. The lemon zest is a simple great touch and changes the experience of the toast. The lemon zest is such a great touch. The burrito has an irresistible toasted and crunchy tortilla. The spicy sauce and chorizo give you a good kick in the morning. Great spot. Definitely check it out if your in the area with friends and family. read more
