We were coming here for our vacation. It gets busy during the brunch hours. The line was out the door. But there was plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. It looks like a house converted into a cafe. It would be a great place to work or study here. I got the coconut bowl, which was a little bit runny. I wish it was more thick and creamier with some honey to sweeten it. The BLAT was really good. I loved the paprika paired with the avocado. read more

We stopped in for brunch and had a great experience overall! You do seat yourself, which is nice for flexibility, but just know that finding a table can be tricky if it's during a busy time. The ordering process is simple--you place your order at the counter, get a number, and then your food and drinks are brought right to your table. The menu is on the smaller side, but every item we tried was fresh and absolutely delicious. Honey vanilla latte was good, the chai is a true chai and flavorful. The cafe is very unique. From the outside it looks like a normal beach house, just pink. Came here around 11 am on a Saturday. Traffic was very busy to get here but easy to park once we were there. There is a bunch of drinks, smooth bowl, and sandwich options. The inside is very cute with seating upstairs on the inlet and three outside patio seats. It is a nice vibe there. I ordered the avocodo toast. I really liked the lemon and goat cheese. It was my first time here and both of the items that I wanted on the menu were not available because they were out of biscuits and out of croissants before it was even 10:30/11. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like spending $12 on açaí bowl when on the island it's only about 10. The service was nice and the view was really nice but with the limited menu, and even more limited supply of inventory I wouldn't go back. Such a cute concept. It's a big, old house. So many little areas for seating, from two at a small table to a group huddled up together on a couch. The honey on biscuit was to die for. I ordered my eggs incorrectly and they were gracious enough to scramble one up right quick. Staff were amazing and helpful, kind, gracious. Thank you from a mom of 5 and 7 yo girls. The interior is clean and inviting with lots of windows for great views of the waterway. Very friendly service with staff who really seem to enjoy being there and working with customers. My usuals are the beet smoothie and acai bowl. The beet smoothie tastes like a strawberry shake with a bit of a bite. The acai bowl is really indescribable. The aesthetic of this place is literally cute and very relaxing! Highly recommend checking this place out while on vacation!! Also the drinks were good as well! I've been coming to Surf City with my family for the past few years and I'm not sure how we've missed this gem in the past! I got a smoothie and an iced coffee & my husband got a juice! We also got to try some of their daily drip coffee. The baristas were very friendly. We both really enjoyed all the drinks we tried. My niece & nephew now love decaf caramel macchiatos, too! We decided to make it our last stop on our way out of town again because it was so good. I got the same smoothie & coffee. Definitely make this a place you go when you visit surf city! Super cool and chill coffee shop that also offers great food choices and many different seating options. The interior has a nice and clean minimalistic style that more coffee shops should take note of. The staff is friendly and they bring the food or drinks to where you sit. We got oat milk lattes and they were made very well! We are looking forward to coming back and trying their açaí bowls along with more lattes. I wanted to give this place 5 stars, I really did. The location is a 5. The building is a 5. My breakfast sandwich was a 5. My $8 juice never made it to me, that's a zero. What perplexed me was the guy that delivered my bacon egg and cheese on a croissant, asked if I had anything else coming. I said yes, a juice. Granted I'm on the top floor, outside on the deck-which I happened to tell the cashier when I placed my order. The food delivery guy found me. Why didn't my juice?! Anyway, as I cleared my table and brought my number (to identify my order) down, the guy asked me again if I was waiting for something else. ‍‍ I gave him my receipt and said I'd like my juice as soon as I returned from the ladies room. The juice (#2) was great-apple, cucumber, turmeric and a few other items- was good. Not $8 good. It was warm and separated like it was sitting there all along. So I'll start with I think my review is partially based on my food choices. First, there is a deck and some outdoor seating. We assumed we'd be able to bring our dogs on the deck but unfortunately had to just sit at some picnic tables out front without shade. we didn't mind but if you don't like sitting in the sun it wouldn't be for you! I had the avocado toast which was generally underwhelming. It seemed more like a premade Avocado purée/mash than freshly made and the bread texture was semi-toasted which made it seem kind of stale. My friends had the breakfast burrito and croissant sandwich and both really liked theirs. Our drinks were all good. Overall, I'd probably come back to try it again and make other options in terms of ordering, but it wasn't my fave. read more

There was a line when we entered here. The menu was easy to see there are gluten-free and vegetarian options. The staff was super super friendly. We ordered two açai bowls, one BLTA and one burrito. The açai balls were a little melted when they arrived to our table and average. The burrito however smelled delicious and tasted really good. The BLTA was average. There is outside seating and upstairs seating cute little area honestly. a lot of people seem to be meeting for coffee and doing work. Definitely a place to stop if you needed to get some work done while on vacation the staff were super friendly like I said, but it did take around 25 or more minutes to get the food. Love this little place! Great coffee, excellent food and a menu with something for everyone. I've gotten both the pitaya bowl and the chicken salad -- both were excellent. My husband got the breakfast sandwich both times we went and loved it. It's super cute inside and they have indoor and outdoor seating throughout two floors. One of my absolute favorite breakfast places in Surf City. I'd also say probably the best for a calm enjoyable breakfast. My wife and I have come here multiples times over the past 2 summers when visiting. There is parking! Beautiful interior space and outdoor seating on the water- deck and out front. Views and breakfast, what more do you need. Oh, the service- which is phenomenal. Staff is realistically small but really does a great job when busy pumping out food and coffee. The coffee is amazing. Lattes are on point as well as the cappuccino. The Avocado toast and breakfast burritos are a MUST'! They are made with simple fresh ingredients. The lemon zest is a simple great touch and changes the experience of the toast. The lemon zest is such a great touch. The burrito has an irresistible toasted and crunchy tortilla.
