I have order multiple times through a delivery app and each time I have requested there be no tomatoes on the wrap I ordered because I am allergic. Each time I received a wrap with tomatoes. This time I specified I am allergic please do not put tomatoes on the wrap. Yes, they left off the tomatoes, but what I received was a tortilla filled with LETTUCE! That is all. Lettuce, tortilla and a hint of ranch. I will not be going to this restaurant or ordering it through a delivery service again. Unacceptable. read more

I like to come here and get smoothies sometimes- they're a good smoothie place for the Midwest. But I think it's silly that they only offer a few options in kid size and ZERO have vegetables in them- this is a prime opportunity to sneak some extra nutrition into your kids' diet! I added spinach to the chocolate chimp, but I would have much preferred an island green kid size for my son. If you have two kids and they'll split one, it'll work for you, otherwise you have to buy a gigantic smoothie or just settle for the limited options. It would also be nice to offer a smaller size in general because the smoothies are just massive. read more

The food is decent but I go out of my way to the location on Sunshine because the smoothies are 10x better at that one. This is one of my favorite places to go. However I am not super happy with my past experience. Today I ordered a smoothie. I had entered the wrong time on the app for pick up so I called and had it changed immediately. I had my boyfriend go pick it up and he still had to wait another 20 or so minutes for the smoothies I had ordered an hour in advance. My biggest issue however, is that my smoothie was ordered with no banana. The smoothie cup even said no banana, but there was banana in it. I am allergic to bananas so this was quite an issue for me. I tried to call the store to let them know, as this could possibly severely hurt other people if modifications are not looked at and no one answered the phone. Again, disappointed as I go there at least once a week. read more

This place is awesome. I had the Sunset Sunrise smoothing and it was so good! My friend and I shared a sandwich which was really good as well. The sandwiches are a little pricey for the size, but definitely delicious! The smoothies only come in one standard size that will fill you up. It would be equivalent to a large anywhere else. I was a huge fan of this chain when I lived in Little Rock, Arkansas, so when I saw this location pop up on Yelp, I knew it wouldn't be long before I'd be paying a visit for a quick, relatively healthy meal. That part was to be expected; what wasn't expected was how much nicer this one is than their Arkansas locations. Instead of standing around awkwardly as your takeout order is completed, this place offers a couple of plush chairs and a bench to accommodate your wait - and maybe convince you not to leave at all. read more

I was so disappointed eating here today. My mom and I work at nearby medical offices and meet for lunch multiple times a week. We wanted to add this to our rotation, but after my experience I will not be back. My husband, who was dining with us today, placed our order. I had been rushed so I just went with two of the new Luau Sliders and told him to get me a Diet Coke. The man taking our order walked me over to a cooler to pick out my bottled drink. I didn't see a Diet Coke, nor did I hear that was an option as he listed what they had. I asked about this and he rudely responded "We don't carry Diet Coke. It has aspertane. It's bad for you. Diet Coke is bad for you." While I know the health implications from drinking Diet Coke, drinking any type of soda is arguably bad for you. However, I respect this decision to not carry a product. What I don't respect is how he insinuated I was making a poor choice drinking Diet Coke. He did not need to inform me that Diet Coke is unhealthy. So are a lot of things on their menu. The food was lackluster but not inedible. I would have given it another try and ordered something else had I been treated nicely. Mom and I will just have to stick to places with friendlier staff- Wannagetta Pizza, Wing Stop, and Lucy's to name a few. read more

We have always loved going to Tropical Smoothie- the owners and employees were friendly and welcoming. They changed ownership recently I think and it has gone totally downhill. The employees are rude, not at all friendly, and seem to have a million other things they would rather be doing. There is no rhyme or reason to how the food is made and delivered. People that order a smoothie/food after you will get it way before you. If you order a sandwich/wrap, don't plan on eating it with your smoothie because you won't get them any where close to the same time. Plus the prices seem to be going way up. I ordered a smoothie from here a few weeks ago. When asking how many calories were in a smoothie, the lady shortly responded with "I don't count calories, I just eat the right foods." I tried to redeem the offer when making an online purchase but it didn't appear the online system was not set up to accept the offer. I called the location where I was going to pick up my order and was told that I couldn't do it online but that I could at checkout. So, I placed my order and went to pick it up. The cashier was unsure how to ring it up so she got the manager. When he came out, he asked me "What is the issue?" whereupon I explained what had transpired to that point. He said, "You need to bring in a coupon". I wasn't told this when I called earlier. All of this, in front of 4-5 people in line behind me causing me unecessary embarasement. I am unsure if the other locations in Springfield are run by the same franchisee but I would highly recommend if you want something from Tropical Smoothie, go to one of the other locations, East Sunshine or North Kentwood, this one has a rude manager not concerned with customer satisfaction. read more

I love this place. I come here 2-4 times a month. Top reason I like this place it he food tastes great but equally as important, I request a custom flatbread every time I order food. It's the same one every time and they always make it for me. Visited Tropical Smoothie for the first time and being disappointed is putting it very mildly. I ordered a simple strawberry Smoothie. An order that I thought would be very simple and no able to be messed up. Well the Smoothie was handed to me, the cup was covered in smoothie, I have to clean it up and than clean my now sticky hands off. Once I tried the Smoothie I was very disappointed because it tasted like ice and dirty unwashed strawberries. I will never visit this location again. read more

Each time I come into this particular location, it is not exactly pleasant. Yesterday I went in and stood at the counter for a few minutes while the girl stood behind the counter and ignored me while she was doing whatever else. Then when she decided she was ready to take my order she says "Okay what do you want?" Without apologizing for my wait. I order and sit down. People that ordered and even walked in a few minutes after I ordered got their smoothies first. After a few more minutes I talked to another guy who had to put in my order again. Apparently this girl forgot to put my order in because she was too preoccupied with what she was doing. It's ridiculous and disappointing. This is at least the second or third time this has happened while this particular girl works. I love their smoothies, but to me it's not worth it to go if I'm going to be disrespected as a customer. read more
