This was such a cool spot to stop in with many many options that they were sold out of a couple. Obviously, the fact that the names are stamped on the empanadas is super helpful if you are getting a variety. They have alot of variety of different empandas from savory to sweet. I got four different savory and also purchase a couple of spicy dipping sauce for it. Very nice setting inside their restaurant. Clean and nicely label their different flavors. So I was very excited to try this place. I really want their cheese steak which a friend recommended, but they were sold out. So I picked random one. Well the spinach was probably the one I like, less spices and just plain spinach. I got the chorizo, spicy beef, and cheeseburger. None of it was tasty to me. All I taste was different spices like too much that was overpowering the flavor. It didn't help with the dipping sauce, which was actually good. The restaurant is a little hard to find as it isn't visible from S National, but it is well-worth a visit. The empanadas are freshly-made, hot and delicious in about 10 minutes. I had the Signature Steak, Beef and the Carnitas! All were very flavorful. The spices that are used are just so perfect. The most delicious and authentic empanadas I've found in a very long time. They were made fresh, so it was understandable that a couple flavors were out of stock. We tried the spinach, beef, spicy beef, quesadilla, chorizo, carnitas, and dulce de leche. Between 4 people we were unable to finish the 12 empanadas we ordered. They are BIG. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming. With fun murals on the walls. Customers are encouraged to draw or write a message, creating a fun artistic feel. Each delicious empanada comes marked with its type, so no guessing which empanada is which kind. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we had to get a box to-go because (did I mention) these are BIG empanadas. Finally, the service. As a family run business, the cashier/waitress was so polite. At the end of the meal she asked if we wanted to meet her father, the owner. My favorite was the Cuban and the apple pie, but I also tried the eggplant, the corn, the pepperoni, and the Nutella, and they were all delicious! My daughter got the cheeseburger and she said it tasted just like one. My husband got the bbq pork and cheeseburger and loved them both. The service was great and fast.
