My wife and I are big fans of Tropical Smoothie Cafe in general. We moved to Midlo from Missouri and were glad to see that they had locations here. We typically can't drink a whole smoothie on our own so we always have them split one smoothie into two cups for us. But we went today and they refused to let us do that. I even mentioned that at all the locations that we've ever been to (including this one) they always do it for us. But she refused and said absolutely not! I was shocked and disappointed. Additionally this location was dirty! Trash overflowing outside, dirty surfaces, dirty ceilings and ceiling fans. We ordered delivery through the TSC App. Our order arrived without any of our smoothies. When I tried to get in touch with the branch, the phone rings and rings and eventually just hangs up without an option to leave a voicemail. We called several times with the same result. I had to search Google for the customer support phone number, because it's not in an easy-to-find place on their website. Finally found the number and got in touch with someone, only for her to act like she didn't even realize she picked up a phone call. She didn't greet me, introduce herself, or state that she was a CSR with TSC. I had to start the conversation, and then had to ask if I was calling the correct number. Customer support was wholly unhelpful, and just put in the same request form I had already put in on their website. So now we have to wait for a response from "upper management" just to have our refund processed for the smoothies we did not receive from Tropical SMOOTHIE Cafe. I used to be a huge fan of Topical Smoothie Cafe and had even worked for them. In the recent 3 or 4 times I have visited this establishment the service was hit or miss, but the smoothies were all watered down and the food line wasn't even open. My picture is of the Orange Dream, which is supposed to be a light orange color but is clearly yellow. It tastes like straight water with a DROP of orange juice; I cannot even taste the yogurt or white chocolate!!! This was supposed to be a turkey cheddar wrap off the kids menu for my child. I could not feed this to my child as I would not even feed it to my dog. That's a constipation fest and I see no turkey. I have visited this location 3-4 times in the last 6 months. Most times there has been an issue with my order, including today. Today I decided to go back to the store because my quesadilla had chicken and did not have salsa - I could not eat it. I was given a remake, but nothing else was offered for the trouble. Every single time I have ordered from here recently they have either a) gotten the order wrong b) left items completely out of our order c) taken forever to finish the order. On a recent trip to the store I had to wait almost an hour for 3 wraps and smoothies. They finished the food and 1 of the smoothies after 40 minutes but had forgotten one of the smoothies. Rather than just finishing the order I had to wait another 20 minutes for the last one, while the food got cold. This Tropical Smoothie has multiple poorly written reviews about the staff. I think this is very judgemental and unfair to the people working. When I came in, there were only two workers, a tiny fan on the floor, and water flooding from the back. Both workers were nothing but friendly and cordial to each customer and fellow employee. They were kind to a little girl--I'm assuming one of their daughters--who didn't understand the stress they were under. I have been to this location a couple times while they were understaffed and busy, and each time, the employees were kind and hospitable. It saddens me that they have to work under these conditions. Still waiting we watched time after time people leave approximately 7 groups of potential customers because they were told there was a 15-20 minute wait for smoothies and they weren't serving food. Why?? We're seeing it being prepped. Who decided it was ok to say that to customers and turn away people when food was being prepped. I honestly wonder if the owner of the store knows about this. About 2 weeks ago my daughter picked up a Bahama Mama for me from this location, it was lacking flavor, thickness and didn't have the sweetness of the white chocolate. I didn't complain feeling that they may be under a lot of stress due to the corona virus. On 5/3, I placed an order online for pick up at 3:55. When I arrived to store at pickup time the associate (1 of 6) asked was I here for a pickup, he search where they placed pick up orders under my name as well as the order description then asked the other associates all responding it was not ready. He said it should be up soon, that's when I shared my last experience about the Bahama Mama, he assured me that he would make sure it was done correctly. 30 minutes later still no order, the 1st associate had left the store so now I was dealing with what appeared to be the manager. The manager repeated the same shout out to all 6 employees and they all looked around baffled as to say "what order". The manager said he was sorry and that they been so busy but I felt just as sorry for the owners of the franchise that was paying "6" associate to make sure his investment was in good hands with more than enough employees in place to do a competent job. Also as he finally handed me my order he forgot to give me the sandwich. So to summarize this is what's needed - contact another Tropical Smoothie in the area to get the correct recipe for Bahama Mama - train employees to multi task walk in orders and pick up orders. During these unusual times of social distancing I tried to do may part by ordering ahead so my time spent in the building possibly being exposed to corona would be very limited instead I ended up there for 45 minutes waiting for a SLURPEE. read more

I'm starting to like this location. It's close to AMFAM which is great for me. I was told, "have a nice day" 5 times. Don't know if it was there way of telling me to get out or the hospitality of the person helping me with my order. Kidding, she was great and I knew it was hospitality. It's definitely clean, large open area, and not too noisy. It's very calm at times but when it gets busy, prep for a little wait.
