The restaurant space is beautifully decorated, inviting and warm. Like most sandwich shops, orders are made at the counter. But this is no typical sandwich shop. Inspired by New Orleans cooking, the restaurant features outstanding po boys, sandwiches, delicious salads, and exceptional gumbos and soups. And not to be missed -- especially for a southerner like me who has given up sweet tea due to the sugar -- the Splenda Tea is awesome. I also loved the fresh pickle and pepper bar where I enjoyed the sweet pickles that were similar to those my grandmother made when I was young. I particularly was impressed with Newk's because we had a large group, and the gentleman who was the host was so friendly and went out of his way to help us. Our order was perfect and we left with our food perfectly packaged and ready for the transport to our office. Kudos to Newt's!
