    (9A) Chicken Ramen

Kyuramen TBar is a great spot in Jackson with a cool, Japanese-inspired ambiance that really sets it apart--especially the unique seating and décor. The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience feel relaxed and welcoming. A solid place to enjoy flavorful ramen and soak in a fun, modern vibe.

Notes: 1) been here once 2) combined place with attached boba place 3) outside is part of a strip mall and the entrance can be confusing Pros: 1) food was good 2) service is nice and friendly and fast 3) ambiance was amazing, the inside looks and feels like a different country with their honeycomb seating and private booths Cons: 1) the restaurant is in an interesting place 2) the service at first was odd (plenty of servers but only a few of them were working) 3) the saltiness of the food was variable Rating: 4/5 The service here on entry was a bit odd. We entered to a lot of servers at the hostess stand but only a few of them were looking to seat us. The rest were talking and chatting so it took a bit to be seated. When we went to get seated though, the service changed completely. Our server was amazing. She got our orders and answered all of our questions. She made suggestions and also got our orders quickly to us. The boba was pretty good but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. I don't think we finished it really. The tonkatsu ramen was good. The noodles, egg, and chashu were all really good. My only complaint about the broth was that it was a bit bland. The toppings really added a lot of flavors. Overall, a solid dish. The popcorn chicken was also surprisingly really good. It was hot and crunchy and had lots of flavor to it. Now, for me, it was more on the salty side. With the mix of the broth, it was actually a solid meal. Overall, I was surprised by this place. It looks great for where it is, and it seems to be pretty new. Food rating: 1) Kyushu tonkotsu ramen: 4/5, broth was a bit bland but everything else was good 2) boba: 4/5, it's pretty solid. More on the bland side for the broth but the ramen was good overall 3) popcorn chicken: 4/5, also a solid dish, it is a bit salty but it was hot and crispy which is a win in my book.

Great place for ramen and omirice. The Thai iced tea was great too. They have a large menu of different types of Japanese food. One of the best ramen spots I've been to. I'd come back!

Met my friend for lunch at Kyuramen X Tbaar- Jackson MS. I usually wait a month or so to try a new restaurant but I was excited to see this spot was open on Monday I decided to go ahead and give them a try. She ordered spring rolls, which were the typical spring rolls to me. They were hot and had good flavor though. We both got the Sapporo Miso Ramen bowl. I did the combo, which adds a pork bao and Thai iced tea for an extra $6.99. I enjoyed the pork bao. The bun was a little chewy but the sauce and pork belly were really good. I also liked the Thai iced tea. It was like drinking an iced caramel cold brew. We both ordered our bowls spicy, which was a small mistake for me. The flavor was very good but I should have ordered the mild. It was too spicy for me to fully enjoy and my lips were tingling lol. I enjoyed the ingredients in the bowl a lot and would consider ordering this bowl again, but at a lower spice level. I love, love, love the inside of this place! We were seated upstairs in the honeycomb booths and I felt like I was eating in a New York bistro! It's amazing how the space that was once Lost Pizza has been transformed. Service was great. Michaela was our server and she took good care of us. Shared her favorites and also informed me about the combo special. It's a nice addition to the Jackson dinning scene.

The restaurant is very beautiful I'll give them that, but the food itself was not very pleasant. I absolutely LOVE ramen, like LOVE IT, but I ordered my daughter and myself the Chicken Ramen and when we recieved it, the smell of it just completely threw me off, and whenever I tried it omg it was disgusting. My mom ordered the pork pau buns but asked for chicken and they were absolutely disgusting, it was like biting into a boob and it was extreme dry and flavorless. The waitress wasn't very much help at all, I had to constantly go to the front and ask for things like a fork, a small plate, and I didn't even bother asking for a bag to take the crap home I just grabbed one. Whenever it was time to pay I just walked up to the front and I asked could we not be charged for the bun things and was told no because the order had already been put in and it was served to us. So I replied we only took one bite of them and it was nasty. I ended up paying $71 for all the shit just for me, my mom, and daughter to leave still feeling hungry, and now I'm at home throwing up because how bad this food just smelled and tasted. Will not be returning EVER!

Cool little place super cute seating and layout! I love the decorations! The service was pretty good and the food was good too... I'm not a big fan of ramen but my sister is so we went and she loved it. She got the chicken ramen with just chicken and corn.

    Appetizer sampler and takoyaki

My partner and I dined at Kyuramen this past Friday night. The interior and ambience is very cool. My partner and I really liked honeycomb and Japanese decor. Service was quick and friendly. The food was overall not great, unfortunately. We ordered the honeycomb appetizer sampler, takoyaki, yin yang ramen (combo of miso and tonkotsu ramens), and pork katsu omurice with demi glaze. The honeycomb appetizer was a mixed bag. We liked the broiled eel and chili garlic edamame, the shrimp tempura was good, but the scallop and salmon salad ball just tasted off and we did not finish those. The dishes we would have expected to come out hot were just lukewarm. The takoyaki was good, but would have been benefited from extra frying to make it crispier, and also was lukewarm. My partner thought the yin yang bowl of ramen was below average. She liked the noodles, but the broth was lacking umami and the chashu for the tonkotsu was rubbery. Again, the dish was unfortunately lukewarm. My omurice w/ pork katsu was ok. I liked the egg and the demi glaze was decent, but the fried rice was bad. It tasted like it was not fried but boiled in mushroom broth and very off putting. The pork katsu was tough and i found a chunk of gristle in it, though the katsu was fried well. Overall, we're happy Jackson has a ramen shop. It's great for the area to see food diversity, but just a little disappointing when the food is not executed well and often doesn't taste fresh or is lukewarm. We liked our drinks and wouldn't mind stopping back at the bar for a beer, but probably will not be back for the food.

New restaurant alert! Kyuramen X Tbaar- Jackson MS is now officially open! We couldn't decide, so we ordered a whole spread I haven't seen anywhere around here that offers Omurice, and seasalt milk foam drinks, so I'm excited to see that on the menu. What we got: Omurice - Soft scrambled egg over shittake fried rice, topped with Japanese gravy and crispy fried pork cutlet. Shouyu tonkotsu ramen with white garlic - A MUST!! Rich bone broth, tender sliced chasu pork, perfectly 6 min marinated soy sauce egg Spicy tonkotsu ramen - Has some Szechuan peppercorn which gives your tongue a slight numbing sensation, broth and flavor was on point. Fried squid tentacles - lightly battered, super tender, some of the best we've had around. Popcorn chicken - juicy, and tender, lightly breaded, taste like what I'm used to. Pork bao - steamed bao stuffed with slow cooked pork belly. Not bad, I'd get it again. Thai Tea - He thoroughly enjoyed it Brown sugar boba milk tea - Loved it, but probably get it half sweetened next time. Taro smoothie- delicious too, probably get it half sweetened next time. If you've had them before in Houston, it's very much the same! We really didn't expect much since it's their first day and probably has a lot of kinks to work out, but from what we can tell, it was super smooth. Everything was great. Service, taste, and our server seems to know the menu quite well. The place is cute! They have private individual booths, bar seating area, and cute honeycomb booths. Each table has a call button, so whenever you're ready to order, or need service, simply push the button. Before you leave, be sure to fill out your wish to put on their wishing tree. Added pics of the menu for yall.

There wasn't a strong watermelon flavor and there really wasn't a kick from the jalapeño. The bartender wasn't definitely not shy with the liquor but it wasn't over powering. The shrimp and crab ceviche was probably a 8/10 ( could've been a 9/10 but it had cucumbers in it). It had a tad bit too much lime juice or lime taste. The shrimp and crab dip was delicious! 9/10. Fresh chips as well. I really enjoyed the pickled red onion addition was really good. Overall Saltine has a great menu selection, warm and welcoming vibe.

That was delicious. Also got the lobster and crawfish dip ok and one can never go wrong with calamari which was also good. For dinner, I had the salmon and grits and kale. It was ok because not quite what I was expecting - I was expecting spicy and it was too sweet for me but might be my fault for not fully reading the description and being focused on the Cajun seared aspect of it. It was still good though. Nothing superb but filling and loved the crunchy kale on top. Really liked that they were open on a Monday and they were fast. At one point, too fast because one of my co- diner's dinner came too soon while still eating their salad. For dessert, we got the cinnamon roll cheesecake and shared it. I only had one bite because it was too rich for me but it was very tasty and good. Unfortunately, we didn't get the oysters which is THE item to get here but it was otherwise a good visit.

The location was decently decorated and seemed to be clean and it wasn't too noisy for our table of four to eat and have conversation without competing with neighboring tables overall, a fantastic experience, price and value were definitely good. After looking over the menu, I was impressed with the selection of meat and vegetables included in the buffet, more than similar Korean buffets I have been to. I also liked the number of available sauces to further season the food. Service was fast and efficient. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken and filled shortly afterward. Staff was really friendly and helpful when we had questions. Soon, our order of meats and veggies arrived and the cooking began. The containers tend to take a fair amount of space on the already small tables so keep that in mind if you order a wide variety of meats. We had to stack the containers as we cooked the meat but the server removed them pretty quickly. One really neat feature of the tables I enjoyed was a plate warmer at each seat location, at least in the booths. That helped keep the cooked meat warm while waiting for the other cooking food to complete. Very nice touch. I will definitely return the next time. I'm in town.

It includes cooked starters such as rice, noodles, spicy chicken, spring rolls, wontons, gyoza, etc.. and many protein and veggie options to cook yourself. The beef bulgogi and flank steak were awesome! Shrimp was nice and fresh. The meat is already marinated, but there is also a spice and sauce bar in case you want to take it up a notch. I put a mixture of green onion, minced garlic and cilantro on the beef **chef's kiss**. Note: Other than the short rib, they give you a hefty portion of meat per selection. I suggest maybe ordering 1 or 2 meats per person and if you want more or to try something different later, request it at that time because there is a $13 per lb up-charge for wasting food. Price for the all-you-can-eat buffet is $30.99pp (at the moment). Yakiniku does have lunch specials, value packages for groups, bento boxes, and options if you don't want to cook yourself, but that is really part of the experience and it's super easy. Ambiance is family-friendly, good for groups. Overall, I loved it! A few things that I think would provide a better experience: - If the servers clean or switch out the grill like at other KBBQ spots once it gets dry or too charred. You could probably just request this though. - Different tongues or handlers for each meat instead of one since you're dealing with raw meat (and maybe some sanitizing wipes at the table).
