I have been to this tropical smoothie a dozen times. Tonight we ordered our usual and my wife was halfway through her sandwich when she pulled a dust ball out of her mouth. We looked at the sandwich and it appeared to have been dropped on the floor because it had a dust/hairball in the back. Absolutely unacceptable to receive food like that. I can't imagine how it got like that without being literally dropped on the floor and picked back up. Unless there are dust bunnies all over their counter. Disgusting and we will not back. I would recommend an establishment that takes food safety more seriously. read more

This is the absolutely the worst tropical Smoothie I have been to. I got a wrap and a peanut butter cup Smoothie. When I received my food it was only cut half way threw luckily I was able.to tear it the rest of the way without the wrap coming apart but my Smoothie was at least made properly. I figured this was just a one time mistake so I did not make a fuss. I returned 2 days later to pick up an online order I made with this same exact wrap and Smoothie I had purchased Tuesday. Once again my wrap was not cut even half of the way through in was cut corner to corner so i was unable to tear it as the day prior. When i asked if they could cut it ccompletely they handed me a knife from their make station that had been wiped off with a paper towel and let me cut if. Upon cutting it the entire wrap fell apart to the point where it was impossible to pick up or eat and they put the extra dressing i requested on my wrap in a cup without a lid. So needless to day it poured all in my bag and got all over the wrapper for the wrap and the bag of chips as well as all in my car. Thankfully the young gentlemen (who seems to be the only competent person working) made me another wrap. I also ordered a peanut butter cup Smoothie which ended up being a banana Smoothie with a hint of chocolate. I will be returning to this establishment only to receive a refund I also made my order online so that I could pick it up on my break from.work and have time to eat and get back to work on time. Due their mistakes I was later retuning to work. I will return this establishment only to get a full refund for the food and drink i purchased and could not eat. read more

Beware of accidentally ordering from the "secret" menu. My daughter ordered a cheese quesadilla which on the menu board is showing comes with chicken. She received a plain cheese quesadilla and when I asked the cashier I was told you have to ask for the chicken, even though there is no plain cheese quesadilla on the menu. The shift manager came out and after I explained the situation, he also explained we had to ask for chicken when ordering the quesadilla, even though the only option on the menu is chicken quesadilla. He initially offered no resolution, and after a few moments of me just looking at him incredulously, he said he would refund the cost of the plain quesadilla and then I could order the chicken quesadilla. So we went through the process of refunding the cost to my credit card, then my purchasing the chicken quesadilla. As you can imagine, the cost difference was less than one dollar. Needless to say, with plenty of Tropical Smoothies in the area, plus stores similar business models, we will never return to the Greenway Corporate Drive location. read more

Tried and true, I've always been a huge fan of Tropical Smoothie!!! I initially came with the intention of picking up a Blimey Limey but as soon as I opened the door, the aroma of deliciously enticing food tinkled the bottom of my noise, my stomach growled and it was then I knew I was getting food too lol. It's super busy here at lunch time yet the exit is never long from order to pick up! Blimey Limey is one of my favs!! The taste is everything!!! Fresh, fruity with a hint of tropical tenderness. The Caribbean Jerk Chicken wrap is my go to for food if I am not in the mood for something new or just unsure of what to get. Because it's always made by someone different there are layers to how it may taste, which is not a bad thing. The classic jerk taste is always present but the spiciness varies depending on how much sauce the give you. A moderate amount is always good, this is a wrap and no one wants a soggy wrap, no one. It has that sweet heat so you know it's real! The location is anyways clean and has seating inside. Staff is always friendly and they do try to remember who orders what as they will call your name and actually walk your order to you instead of just leaving it on the counter for to to retrieve. It's that little extra customer service that makes a huge difference. read more

To be honest, I hadn't been to Tropical Smoothie since they had that contamination issue with strawberries from Egypt. Who knew they ordered their strawberries from Egypt...but I bet they don't anymore. LOL! A friend of mine kept telling me she was obsessed with the Island Green smoothie. Any smoothie with kale/spinach scares me a little but she mentioned it so much I decided to try it! Oh My God...it was sooo good! I found myself visiting several times a week to get my Island Green fix! And it is dairy-free but it is so creamy and sweet! Yum! I told my friend that I was in love and she said...oh I get the Detox Island Green. What in the world is the Detox? Well apparently it doesn't have any sugar added! She treated me with a gift card and I dared to try the detox this morning!! Not only does it not have sugar, there's ginger added which is not in the original Island Green. It was just ok! I missed the sugar! I guess that's why the regular is like 200 more calories! The ginger added a little spicy kick. A lot of people like the detox version and heads up my friend said it can make things flow (if you know what I mean) but I prefer the sweeter original Island Green! This place was nice! I got a Blimey Limey. This has been the best smoothies I've gotten from a Tropical Smoothie. It's sweet, cold, and delicious. The service was quick and the line was almost non-existent at 1:15pm. The only thing I'd have to comment negatively on is when looking through the glass at the employees making the food, one of them threw the black rubber top of the blender at the window, making it bounce off and onto their table in the prep room. It was alarming and a little gross since it's a window with some film on it. But overall, the smoothie is delicious. read more

Only had the smoothies here, I'll have to try their sandwiches and wraps soon. I had the coffee smoothie which tasted great, like a coffee milkshake but not as thick. It took a while to get the smoothie but they had several orders they were completing and the place was packed. Hopefully they hire some more people cause they'll need it if business is like how it was when I went there. I think this will be my go to place for smoothies. I ordered a turkey apple Dijon sandwich without bacon & I got home to unwrap a chicken flat bread with bacon. I drove back they made me a new sandwich and... Am I being too high maintenance to expect that this time it would be the sandwich I ordered? I have been to tropical smoothie cafe many times. This was, by no means, my first time in this establishment nor my first time ordering this item off the menu. The food took about 20 minutes to come. Now, I understand there are wait times at food establishments often, but after waiting 20 minutes you'd think your meal was perfect. Wrong. The only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1, is because the Sunshine smoothie and Sun chips I ordered along with the flatbread were decent. As seen in the photo, the flatbread was messy and extremely under-filled. At other tropical smoothie locations, this exact order was filled with more chicken, cheese, and evenly spread pesto. In the future, I will think twice before returning to this establishment. However, if I do decide tropical smoothie is worth my money - I will be expecting far better presentation and quality for my 20 minute wait. Be better. read more

Went here with some friends during our lunch break. Service was quick and we got our smoothies in a reasonable amount of time to return to the office. My smoothie was pretty good and my buddies enjoyed their smoothies as well. The bathroom was pretty clean and well kept. Have been back several times this summer. This place is now in the heavy rotation for lunch spots. The Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich and the Sesame Chicken Salad are definite winners. In fact, I could do a better review if I would try more of the menu, but I'm addicted. Winter will have me trying more of their Boar's Head soups. Its extremely frustrating that the past 3 times I have ordered a quesadilla, it says it comes with the tomato salsa, but only gives you the option to select no sauce, or barbecue sauce, I select no sauce because it said IT COMES WITH the tomato salsa. Im not sure if its the new staff or what it is but im not sure why every time i get a quesadilla now i open it up and there no salsa to be found. This is like the third time now and it ruins my meal because that is my favorite part so please get your stuff together trop.
