I stopped by this pho restaurant the other night and decided to order a typical beef soup. The ordering system here for takeout orders is through a tablet which was different from your typical Vietnamese restaurant. I personally liked it. This soup itself was average. A small little place, hidden in a large shopping area. When you walk in you will notice the fish tank and some wall paintings. Quiet music. The food, to be honest was a lot better than I expected. My son got the Shaking Beef ($$18.95), which he would get again. My wife and I split a pork sandwich ($8.75) and the eye round steak , well done brisket, and meatball pho ($16.45) and a pineapple bubble tea ($6.45) Everything tasted great. Would come back. Pretty decent pho at a fair price. Quality- All the pho and soup noodle dishes are flavorful. The broth is thick and the meat is presented well. The cold vermicelli noodles with meat and egg rolls are good but lacked a bit of flavor. I wasn't a fan of the beef skillet with egg. It was too salty. Quantity- you get a lot for the price. Visited this place for the first time. I have been looking for a good Pho place as I recently moved. Mi dined in and my order was prepared quickly and out to my table. Sadly the place does not serve tripe with any of its soup selections. However the broth was delicious and with all the bees selections they had - the soup was great. They use disposables to serve their dishes. The pho portions are a bit small. The broth was okay. The staff was nice and friendly.

The restaurant itself has zero ambience and feels dirty. I agree with another review that it is white-washed Vietnamese food. When you order the fried egg rolls, it it served with Chinese-restaurant duck sauce rather then the Vietnamese fish sauce every other Viet restaurant serves with it. The pho noodles are low quality and the broth is not that good. I've also had the banh mi sandwiches which were ok at best, but were skimpy on the meat. You're better off going to the Pho Factory in Ashburn Village, Saigon Outcast near the GW campus, or Three Sisters near Home Depot. Tea Break Cafe in Sterling has the best banh mi sandwiches in Loudoun IMO. read more

I have gone here a few times since it is the most convenient. I usually order pho and sometimes it is good and other times it is just ok. The bubble tea is really good here especially avocado. I have not tried another dish yet to say if other items on the menu are up to par. read more

I ordered takeout and it was ready in less then five minutes. I ordered the beef pho. It came packaged perfectly. The bowl had the noodles which I was able to pour the hot broth over with the beef. My son and I dropped in for lunch today after our optometrist appointment nearby (Loudoun Eye Associates - great people). This place is a sweet little hole-in-the-wall, which reminded me of some of the best little restaurants in most any China Town. The beverage menu is fantastic, with a nice selection of smoothies for Bubble Tea (Boba). My son had the Coconut and I had the Watermelon Bubble Tea. The pearls were perfect, soft with that little bit of chew. The pho menu is not as varied as some other pho places I have been to (especially in California), but they have the basics. The brisket was nice and tender, and the beef was lean and plentiful. The broth was tasty and well seasoned and was hot, but not too hot, so we could dig right in without having to let it cool down. The plate of Thai basil, jalapenos, bean sprouts and lime wedges was generous and fresh. All the usual condiments were available in huge bottles right at each table. We both ordered the large portions of pho and Bubble Tea, and I could not finish mine. The all male staff members were efficient and polite. My mom and I were desperate for some lunch the day before thanksgiving, our favorite sushi places was closed so we decided to check out Pholicious, which is in the same shopping center. When you walk in there is a counter in the back, apparently there is no table service, so you order and pay at the counter. The menu has about 15 items ranging from pho soup to glass noodles to rice dishes, also they have Thai bubble tea and assorted egg rolls. My mother got the pho, which I was very envious of. She let me try it and the broth was very flavorful, even if they really skimped on the amount of meat. My dish, the pork rice bowl, was disappointing to say the least. The pork came out in one giant piece and was almost impossible to cut into since it was so dry. The egg roll was alright. I feel like it was one you can buy frozen at the grocery store. Also, there was a worker there sitting in the front with a table full of junk, just watching tv. It felt a little gross and off putting and he kept being rude to the older worker behind the counter. First time going to this place for a lunch meal. Only one person was inside eating pho around 1:30 pm on a Friday with a couple of takeout orders. Ordered spring rolls (summer/garden rolls), the special bahn mi sandwich, one large pho with brisket, and one regular pho with brisket. There's only flank and brisket, no tripe or tendon options at all. Meatballs, seafood, chicken, and veggie options are available however. The regular pho was hilariously small. Looked like a kid's portion, but it somehow costs 9 dollars. The large portion was ok, decent amount of meat for 10.50. The flavor of the pho soup is not bad, good umami flavor and slightly sweet. Bahn mi was just ok, didn't taste like it had pate, only flavoring was from the meat. Somehow this almost 8 inch sandwich costs 6 dollars (same as a Subway 12 inch sub). Same deal with the spring rolls, freaking 5 dollars for 2 shrimp split between 2 spring rolls. The main problem with this place is they give you a regular spoon way too shallow for eating pho. You can't even get a mouth full of soup on the spoon, it's more of a sip. And forget about putting noodles and meat on the spoon for a nice hearty bite, you'd be lucky to get 2 whole noodles on there. Drinking soup with this thing is equal to baling the Titanic with a baseball cap. I don't think anyone at this place even tried to eat their own pho with the same utensils. Service is non-existent. They only bring the food out, water is self serve, and no one takes the finished plates away. But you pay first and can simply leave no tip, which I think is the right thing to do in this situation. If Pholocious lowers all their prices by a dollar and gets some proper pho spoons, might be worth another star. Otherwise this place is just photrocious. read more

Want water and utensils aside form chopsticks and spoon? Serve yourself. The pho itself was ok. I got the beef broth with shrimp and less noodle (I know, I'm weird). They were accommodating of my special requests, which I can't say is the same for other pho spots. I've had their banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) here before which were also ok. OK, so here's a true confession: I've NEVER had pho before I tried this. And I haven't tried it anywhere else. I was a pho virgin! :-0 Regardless, this soupy, sloppy, customizable mess was so friggin good! I didn't care that I needed a bib. Pho. Where have you been all my life? (Yeah. I know. I'm ignorant.) When I am working in the area, I always get the beef pho and a coconut bubble tea (boba? YES!) I've also had the shrimp egg roles and they were respectable and fresh. I wish I had more to compare it to, but I don't see pho places a lot when I travel. I know this: when I'm in Ashburn, I'm eating here. I read the other reviews and wanted to give them a try anyway. I ordered To Go a regular Beef Phô, spring rolls, and a pork sandwich. The Phô was not as fragrant or rich as those I've had elsewhere, but it tasted fine. The spring rolls were disappointing; they lacked flavor-they seemed to be of a commercial pre-made and frozen, not of an in-house made quality. They forgot to give me any sauce to go with them, which would have helped a bit with the lackluster flavor and texture. The sandwich was okay; I've had better Banh Mi. Meat was a bit tough. I really hate knocking down a place that is local, but IMO, they need to do some work to make it worth another visit. read more

I hate to try somewhere newly opened and ended up leaving with disappointment. I understand how difficult a new business faces when they just opened. This place has very comfortable seating arrangement for dine in customers. Though the down side is that they give all dine in customers paper bowls and cheap plastic utensil - WHEN YOU ARE EATING A BOWL OF HOT PHO! That is just not right. I moved to this area recently, looking for a Vietnamese restaurant and pholicious is the best! Must try their spring rolls with grilled chicken and especially the fried spring rolls-these are to die for. I love it so much that I ordered 50 rolls, store them in the freezer, take them out and put it in for 15 minutes in the air fryer, tastes just like it was made at the restaurant. The marinade of the meat is so tasty and pho is so delicious in the winter. We come here at least 2x a week. read more
