This Panera has been my #1 go to by far for the past year+. But lately... First it was DoorDash taking over driving from one day to the next and suddenly what was working fine just ceased to be, prices went up, and selections narrowed (no more bagel breakfast sandwiches). This was partially not necessarily the fault of the people working at this store. Now, I'm paying the same pretty high price for what is obviously laziness or just plain malice: portions that are less than half full, such as the oatmeal I order almost every single day. Is it the anonymity of delivery? I'm not there at the curb to yell, "Hey, wait a minute!" that makes it easy not to care? I can always switch my love to Joe's and at least get the meats...and pancakes. Do better please - I have been a loyal customer for a decade, plus my entire family loves Panera. read more

I really do not understand the appeal of this place, especially this location. The service is usually iffy at best, but mostly the staff is disinterested in anything but their phones. The food? I don't know- it just seems like the kind of food you'd get at a nursing home. Bland, uninspired food that you could make a better version of at your home in a few minutes. I can't say that any sandwich I have ever had there has stood out to me at all. Truly, I find nothing memorable about this at all. I had to find something I liked there, so I always get some kind of soup. Most of them are pretty good, like the broccoli and cheese or the wild rice or the clam chowder. I had an Asian chicken salad last week. Don't get me wrong I love this salad but it was placed in a to go container upside down . There was barely any chicken! I should have returned to have it re made the correct portion. Every time it comes out different. One time I was given the Italian dressing instead of the Asian sesame dressing!! read more

This Panera has always been sub-par. I tend to go, because it's convenient to my office. However, last Tuesday (granted it was Election Day and everyone was a little distracted) was the worst. I came up to a very dirty ordering kiosk that had bits of who knows what on it. I ordered the Green goddess sandwich, which described "crisp" romaine. I get back to my office, approx 5 min away, and 1/4 of my sandwich was already soggy. The lettuce was wilted and I couldn't even eat the last bites. About 6 hours later, I was on the couch, then I was in bed trying to recover from the nausea that ensued. I have a free bagel on my members rewards, no thanks. read more

My family come to this Panera often. Great selection of salad, soups, sandwiches and desserts. I typically get the Green Goddess Cobb salad (delicious) and will sometimes get a sandwich (turkey club is my recommendation). Service is hit or miss here (depending on day and staff working). One time I ordered and ate in and my food came out quickly. This last time I came food took a lot longer (looking at limited cook staff working - it made sense why orders were coming out slow). Great selection of sodas and alternative drink products (juices, water and tea). Lots of seating however during a busy dinner or lunch hour you may have to wait to get a seat. My girlfriend and I came here and had a wonderful lunch on the patio. Both of our meals were great and very fresh. I got the strawberry poppyseed salad and bravo sandwich, both were great and all the fruit was fresh. A young gentleman tried smoking on the patio and the manager came out and handled the situation very well. For the inconvenience the manager gave us both free cookies. This location is the food redemption for all failed Panera's in the area. Don't divorce Panera yet until you come here. I have never received less than hot food and great customer service. I have what I paid for!! I want to jump up and click my feet in the air! I wish my camera can capture the steam from my food delivered from this location. I get excited when I get hot food. This bowl was 13.99 w tax, got it to my car and was super sad - reason you ask, well I don't normally order chicken dishes anymore because I don't trust the chicken. This dish is why, all dark meat, not remotely appetizing. I'm pretty picky about the meat o eat from restaurants and was just hoping this one would be different. With the change of management, things went south in this location. Kids work behind the counter and they won't even notice customers waiting in line . They continue to listen to their AirPods and work on online orders. On top of that, I found a piece of onion in my oatmeal!! That is disgusting. I was very upset by my experience at Panera today. First, my bowl of Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice soup was MISSING from the order. In my order there was a pick two cup of soup as well as an order of a bowl of soup. My sister was very disappointed to find her meal was completely missing when we arrived home. **warning*** I have repeatedly (only x3 times) over the past six months followed delivery drivers back to this location to complain to management about their employees complete disregard for human life. Today however, while walking my dog, their delivery driver Zachary blew threw a stop sign in our family friendly neighborhood, while he did so I said loud enough for him to hear "stop sign". He made the delivery, chirped tires as rounding the same corner (10mph zone) and shouted out his window at me. When reporting this time , manager blew me off. No apology. The fast lane kiosks caught my eye as I was waiting in line. The thoughts of minimum wage increase came to mind. I thought about how Virginia did not do an increase and that when they do, more of these kiosks were be in more stores to cut down on paying actual people. The chain reaction following these kiosks make a long unpleasant road. This is my second time in this store and it is a nice Parera Bread. The area is still in development stages, but eventually there will be a subway station near here. This store is very clean from what I have seen and the staff seems friendly enough. With the COVID virus concerns and protocols, I ordered a Cobb salad from this location. When I got it home, there was little to no salad dressing included. Interestingly enough, there were two containers of dressing included with the order. Both were less than half full. This was a dry salad! I learned my lesson. I will check from here on. read more

This location is subpar. The food looks sloppy and not well prepared (sandwiches look like preschoolers made them). They offer curbside pickup, but NEVER come out so you'll have to park and go inside. Hand washing is a low priority- multiple times I've witnessed the manager handle the register and then proceed to the kitchen to handle food without stopping to wash his hands. They will replace bread without informing you and I have allergies so by the time I get home and see that I don't have the bread that comes with the sandwich, I'm not going back so the sandwich goes into the trash. Honestly, I prefer to drive pass this location even though it's 2 mins from my house and drive to the Panera bread at Potomac Run. The actual rating is more like a 2.5 star rating. Honestly I am not a huge fan of the Panera Bread chains. The reason being that Panera Bread is known for their sandwiches but for the life of me I can't understand why when I purchase their different kinds of sandwiches why the bread on the sandwich is as hard as a rock. When I bite into the sandwich feels as if I'm biting a brick. However on this particular day my wife and I made a last minute decision to come here instead of Tropical Smoothie which is right next door. When we entered we both told each other that we weren't extremely hungry and didn't want anything heavy, so we both ended up ordering two Grilled Chicken Cesar Salads with two mango smoothies. The smoothies weren't bad but seemed a little watered down. Then again it could have been the way the guy made them. However I can say that they have absolutely nothing on Tropical Smoothie. Now as for the Grilled Chicken Cesar Salad it wasn't bad but there were a few problems in regards to the salad that I had, one being that the croutons were hard which I'm not a fan of so if I ever go back again for a salad I'm going to tell them to hold the croutons. The other problem was that I thought they were a tad bit stingy with the Cesar dressing. I mean I don't want my salad over saturated with it but I don't want to eat dry salad either. The final problem I had was the bread that they served with the salad, once again this thing was hard like a brick I had to just eat the inside of it otherwise it would have probably chipped my tooth. The reason I did give this place an overall rating of 3 stars is because the atmosphere is very peaceful. I mean if you wanted to come in and read a book or do some work then this Panera might be right up your alley. Now if you ask me do I see myself coming back again the answer is yes however only if I'm with someone or a group that absolutely wants to go. Soups, sandwiches and salads oh my! Bagels, pastries, coffee, and more! Panera is the perfect spot for a quick meal. I enjoy many of their soups, but my favorite item is the Thai Chicken Salad. It is perfection every time! There is a free wi-fi but only a 30 minute limit during busy lunchtime hours. There is outdoor seating as well for those nice summer days! Also, there is a cozy fireplace to sit next to...but keep in mind that is my spot. ;) They do put a few toys out in a corner, which my kids love. Anytime I mention Panera their first reaction is "the one with the toys?" Service at this location is great. read more

I rarely write any reviews and almost never give a five star review because to me that means perfection. However, in the case of our local Panera Bread and its manager, John, it is as close to perfection as you can get. If there are ever any problems all of the staff from the managers on down are quick to correct. Everyone is helpful and courteous. The food is decent and prepared hot and fresh, just what you would hope for. Other local Panera Bread locations are good but this one is clearly the best, breakfast, lunch and dinner. read more
