A very flat, open park with multiple sports fields including at least 6 soccer fields and several baseball fields. If going for a full day of sports maybe consider packing a shade shelter as this park is VERY exposed with very little cover from the Texas sun.
On our first visit following overnight storms, it was apparent that this park is prone to flooding as there was quite a bit of standing water and it was very buggy.
We were drawn to this park due to its position on a portion of the Campion Trail South. We did at least 2.5 miles out and back from the middle of Trinity View Park to the dead end at the 13-mile marker.
One of the most pleasant surprises of the walk was a strip called Rosebud Pass (minus the smell of sewage) between Trinity View Park and the 13-mile marker which had many patches of wild winecups, along with a few scarlet peas and some lantana--all Texas native wildflowers! read more
