Amazing park just to walk and clear your head. Very clean park, people pick up after their pets which is awesome. This park is amazing . I love taking scenic photos here. I mean why wouldn't I?!?
Visited mid-December to see the lights. Went early on a week night to avoid crowds and get parking. Parking is free but can be crowded after dark. Great to walk around, admire the lights and enjoy being outside. An addition this year was one of the apartments along the path had lights galore and timed to music. This was my 2nd visit in 5yrs and I'll be back again,
I love this park during Christmas time. I used to drive up here from downtown Dallas to see the lights during the holidays when I lived in DFW. I remember when there was nothing in this area! I got to drive through while visiting my friend in Addison - you can drive around but there is ample parking to get out walk around during the weekday. As my friend said - it is mainly just trees but it's the sheer volume of decorated trees and the fact there's a river that goes through the park that gives reflection and a nice cozy holiday vibe. It's a lovely spot - you can stop for a few minutes or longer. There are lots of eateries and vendors.
Still a great park all of these years later...for running, hiking and biking!! Looks like most of ya'll have caught on to salsa in the park, which still goes on in the summer time. Great event to bring a date or friends. If you enjoy getting outdoors for a workout and live in the area this is a solid option. You will feel safe yet at the same time get some nature in and feel like you're not quite in the city. Bring your furry friend so they can "get their steps in" as well. There's also a huge lounge area/pavilion under a big beautiful tree and is open to the public so you can have a kickback, picnic get some shade or what have you! So glad DFW is providing spaces like this for those of us who care to get in a little SELF CARE you feel me! Come here and come often!
This is an absolute must see when in Dallas for Christmas. The lights are spectacular - photos don't properly capture how cool this exhibit of decorated trees is. Christmas weekend we arrived right after dark and it was already pretty packed. We had to "invent" our own parking spot. We spent about 45 minutes touring around and taking pictures. One of the nearby condos got in the act and was blasting out Christmas music so there was some audio ambiance. :-) It is stroller/handicapped accessible - look for the ramps by the bridge.

Hubby and I took our baby here for the first time opening night of the Christmas light show! Upon walking in I was mesmerized, the lights and scenery were so beautiful! They had around 5 food trucks to choose from, we got elote, and tacos from the Mexican truck and lobster bisque from the cousins. The food was great. They had a live choir singing all the holiday classics, they sounded amazing. I loved that they had a live reindeer for the kids to see and the had complimentary photos with Santa and Mrs. Clause. This was a super fun holiday event and everyone should take their kids and check it out, make sure to look on the visit Addison ig page to see when the choir is performing again. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, there's a lot of walking. And an early arrival is a must! Parking can be extremely tricky and the lots charge $15-20 to park. It's a bit of a walk from the lots to the park. Entry is free so it's a great option to bring the entire family!
This park is always so clean and well kept. My wife and I used to come here before we had kids and it is just as nice now as it was then. We really love the little bridges that we can walk over and enjoy the Christmas lights when they are turned on during the holidays. We went with our kids in the afternoon and stayed until a little after 5pm. The lights turned on just in time for us to enjoy them a bit before we had to get the kids home. The kids loved seeing the waterfall-fountain, bridges, and going under one of the bridges. There were ducks and geese so they got to watch them, too. If you don't want to hit tons of traffic for the lights then I highly recommend that you show up before 5pm and stroll around for a bit before the lights get turned on. By the time you explore a little the lights will be on and the sun will go down in no time!
This is a great park when you're looking for a little escape for an hour or more. My family and I visited during the holidays, and we were able to walk through a magical world of lighted trees. It was a stunning sight to see. The lake really enhanced the experience. There are shops to grab a bite to eat near the water-walk as well, which is nice if you want to make the most of your visit. I highly recommend you check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
Regular spot these days for evening walks with mom. A walkway meanders along with creek and connects to other greenbelt trails within Addison and adjacent regional trail systems. Park Amenities ----------------- Architectural Fountains Flexible - Use Lawn Space Gathering Lawn Overlook Parking - Dedicated Pond Restrooms Tables, Chairs, Benches Trail Note: Best time is during Christmas when they light up all the trees which is an amazing sight.

Every holiday season the entire park gets lit up with christmas lights each night. I have been coming for years with my family and it's a wonderful experience. The parking can be tricky, but its worth it and it's entirely free read more

Magical feelings of nostalgia! It's a vibe Dogs, kids, adults being kids. So many bulbs and colors and trees and sounds and the evening weather is just perfect right now for this! Live music on the weekends. Great photo opps. read more
My review is limited to Christmas time, but the only word I can possibly imagine using is MAGNIFICENT! The trees are lit up 7 days a week, so you can enjoy them anytime. The trees are absolutely gorgeous! But the time you absolutely must go is when they have live music. Just imagine live music in the amphitheater, 10 food trucks lined up in the street, vendors with lighted toys for the kids AND hot chocolate for sale. Santa Claus is taking pictures with the kids and families. Wandering the paths among the hundreds of glowing beautiful trees. People are singing along with the Christmas carols while the kids dance and laugh in front of the stage. There were thousands of people there and everyone of them had a smile on their face! If you love Christmas lights as much as I do, this is a must. If I can talk Glenda into going again, maybe I'll see you there! read more
The park is beautiful during the holidays with all the lit up trees. Highly recommend! It's a small park so you can easily walk the whole loop in 20 mins. There is a small parking lot in the park so if you're coming on a weekend or peak hour, it might be full. read more

Vitruvian Park is a beautiful park that is inbetween two apartment complexes. During the winter colorful lights are wrapped around a ton of the trees and makes for a great place to stop by and enjoy. I went around a Friday night at 10:30 and the lights were still on. There's even a restroom at the side of one of the park. Parking shouldn't be a problem since there is a free parking lot on one side of the park and even some free spots along the apartments. read more
Great place to walk laps, share a picnic lunch, take out the pups, and enjoy being outdoors. Experiencing the Vitruvian lights during the holiday season is a must. The park also hosts food trucks, concerts, and other family friendly events. read more
Came to this park for the lights during the holiday season and definitely didn't disappoint. With a beautiful tree-lit display over a sizeable pond, it's a great place to bring your family or that special someone. Just remember to bring a camera! Keep in mind though that there are two parts to the park. This one was over a bridge from Vitruvian Way, and this is the one that features a parking lot. The other location is mostly grass and trees and acts mostly as a display. It took us a little bit to realize that, so if you're new to the area keep that in mind. I'd imagine this is a great place to have a picnic as well during the warmer season, and definitely plan on returning in the future. read more

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Me and my daughter went here and it's a really cool place to go as a family, couple, or alone . We really enjoyed the scene and the Christmas music. There was also a photographer for pictures and it's pet friendly. When I looked this event up it said they would have food trucks but we didn't see any.. they could be waiting til later in the season. We took lots of pic and videos for our YouTube channel vlogmas. Beautiful area to walk around and enjoy the scenery. You can walk around the water area where all the lighted trees are or there is a pathway that goes further back into a wooded area. There are apartments all over with great views. There is a bar Addison Ice House i believe which has good food and drinks. There use to be another spot across the way from them but it has since closed down. There is a doggy daycare place with open windows facing the street. Everyone loves to look in while walking by. I think they hold events here sometimes as well. There's a volleyball court and wide open fields. The most beautiful time of year is around Christmas time when they light up all the trees for Vitruvian lights. This is a great place to come and walk and then grab a light meal on the patio of the bar! read more
It's such a cute little park! I went when they decorated the trees with all the colorful lights, and it was really peaceful. There were quite a few couples, friends and families walking the paths, sitting in the grass, and of course taking pictures. I've heard the park has little events like concerts, food trucks, and pictures with Santa etc, but even on nights without anything scheduled, sometimes there are people playing guitars and different instruments. Last time I went, there was even a group playing some music and dancing the night away. Overall, it's a cute place to go breathe in the fresh air and admire Christmas lights on a calm night. I wouldn't mind going for a walk or short run here if I lived closer. Both parking and admission are free! read more

Wow! This park is fantastic for events and to just hang out and chillax. I visited this park for the holiday lights and festival....one word...BEAUTIFUL!!!! The lights were amazing, and I love food trucks. You have to come out here for events. read more
I live right around the corner from this park and admittedly had never seen it until I saw all the trees lit up with Christmas lights. There are small retail shops surrounding the park, along with new apartments. It has become a favorite place for me to take the kids and walk the dog. I think you will enjoy it too. read more

Beautiful, lively park! If you are a runner, this may not be the best place, it is a smaller park. I think I ran around like 4 times and 1 time around Brookhaven College to get 6 miles done, so very repetitive. But it's still a great view! read more

First time here was for the Spazmatics Summer Concert nights. I must say, it's a very impressive park! Clean. There's a nice bridge with a small river running underneath. Paved walkways and grassy sitting areas. I drive through/eat out/bar hop in Addison and never ran into this place until now. It's located between 2 trendy, upscale apartment complexes. (it looked upscale). There's a bar in the area (forgot the name). Kinda like a mini Shops at Legacy. Nice! Will definitely check this park out again. read more
Lots of people with dogs! Christmas lights were very unique and distinctive compared to other DFW lights. I recommend strolling around the park. I give 4 stars, because shops nearby were not as appealing. To feel more holiday festivity, we had to drive out of there and head towards Addison Circle or DNT/belt line area. It still is worth visiting more than once if you live close to the area! read more

The picture does not do justice. Events happen all the time. Aside from the events and lighting that happens that park is large enough, with an outside volley ball field, bike and running trails as well as an outside seating area. Been here a few times, it's become one of my favorite parks. read more
