They saved the day! My garage door failed at 7:15 am as I was trying to leave for work. I called Adam at 7:45 am and Mychal showed up about 90 minutes later, right on schedule. My door was stuck in a partially open position, and after my attempts to *fix* the problem by disengaging the motor and trying to force the door down, I was left with bent tracks, several rollers had popped off, and the door was now really stuck and crooked with a 2' opening on one side and a 3' opening on the other. Mychal quickly diagnosed the problem and went to work. A couple hours later my door was back in business, opening and closing more smoothly than it has in years! Mychal installed new cables, new cable drums, and new rollers. He also adjusted the torsion spring, realigned the tracks, and recalibrated the door stop position. He even lubricated the tracks and programmed my remote for good measure. Awesome service and very professional! All at an incredibly reasonable price. A few years ago one of the springs broke on my garage door. The original installer I purchased the door and opener from was no longer available so I searched online for another garage door company. I read their reviews and decided to call the one I felt comfortable with and plus it was local. The service tech came that same day and changed out both springs, he was absolutely great. Once done he also pointed out a few issues with the track's rollers. I decided to change them out and what a big difference in noise reduction it made. Anyway, I've been wanting to replace my torn and rodent chewed bottom seal for some time now. I couldn't remember the name of the company that replaced my springs a few years ago nor locate the receipt invoice, I resorted to an online search again. Like a few years ago I went for a local company and gave them a call. I spoke with Adam from Trinity Overhead Garage Door. Told him of my problem and he asked me to take a photo of the door's bottom seal's track area to ensure he had the right part in stock. I took a few photos and texted them to him. The next morning he got back to me with a price quote and a time frame for installation - that day or the next. I chose the same day and the service tech arrived within a couple of hours. I stayed around and watched him remove and replace the seal. It's definitely a task left to a professional. As I watched him I realized that I remembered him from the broken spring repair a few years back, it was Mychal. The installation was completed but there was a broken panel bracket that required replacing, he took care of it. He also adjusted the springs to make the door "lighter" which reduced stress on the motor and allowed me to lift it easier when it was disconnected from the motor. Adam's price quote from yesterday's phone conversation stood , only adding $10 for the panel (no charge for adjusting the springs. I needed my garage door motor replaced earlier this week and I'm so glad I called Trinity. They were able to come out within a few hours to get the door working (temporarily) and came back the next day to install the new motor. My door is much quieter with the new motor, I now have a battery backup in the event of a power outage and I can even open and close the door from an app on my phone. Also, I was very happy with the price. Adam was great to work with for scheduling and Mychal was an excellent installer. I will certainly call them back when it's time to replace my door. We went to open the garage door yesterday, and to our unfortunate surprise, it would not open. Using the red rope, I got it open and closed, but thereafter, could not get the motor to reengage and open the garage door. I expected a draw-out repair process and significant repair costs. The last thing I wanted to hear in the morning was the garage door opener die as it came to a crashing close. I was referred to Trinity about a year ago when I was considering upgrading the opener but decided to hold off. The customer service then was wonderful when we were working options and quotes so they were the first business I called when this happened. I called Adam on a Tuesday, and his technician Michael was able to get it up and running the next day. Both are awesome. In short, I have nothing but praise for Trinity Overhead Garage Doors and Jonathan Solis; they are the best! I plan on calling them next year for the suggested tune-up. However, please read on, I promise it'll be worth your time. When the garage door wouldn't open, I didn't panic; just thought the remote needed a battery. When the keypad didn't get the garage door up, but I heard the motor working, a tad of concern crept in. It was only when I discovered none of my house keys worked when panic set in (that's a story for another time). The next logical thing I could do was call my neighbor for a flashlight and crowbar...it was after 8 p.m. Well, after an hour or so of my sensible neighbor (who didn't bring a crowbar) and me getting the door up, which miraculously hadn't locked, and working on it, frustration replaced the panic. It seems the cable was tangled and parts had rusted; a clamp wasn't moving the rod; the motor started sounding sick; the top portion had come off the track, and, the door was becoming a tad heavy for a 66-year-old to continue to hold up. All in all, we got the door up and down for me to get inside the house with all my packages. Then the hunt was on for the closest, most reliable and affordable garage door repair service. Thanks to the internet and Yelp, since the Yellow Pages are a thing of the forgotten past, I found Trinity Overhead Garage Doors the next afternoon. My initial call to Adam at Trinity the next afternoon resulted with an appointment the next day...oh-oh, I couldn't leave a loaner car out (putting my car in the shop the following morning), but I faced the situation and accepted the appointment. Well, low and behold, less than an hour later Adam called saying he could send someone out that day by 5 p.m.....all based on the sound of my voice! Thank you, Adam. Less than an hour later I met Mychal. He diagnosed the genie silent max 1000 as a blown chipset. The quote was $700 for a top of the line lift master but the bulk of the cost is the labor. It's not a 5 star review because $60 was charged for a pair of cables. For $700 upfront cost, I would think those replacement cables should have been included. I called several garage repair companies for help but no one responded except Adam at Trinity Overhead. I believe he is local in Lompoc. He was the 5th company I had called and he came out in about an hour, when I could not get the time of day from anyone else. He took care of business and had everything working and good to go. These guys are my saviors. My husband and I were dismayed to find out that the loud metallic bang we heard on Friday night was the spring on our garage door snapping. The next day, the garage door motor was not able to lift the door. It was far too heavy for us to lift it either and my car was being held hostage. I had to get to work on Monday and we needed it fixed urgently. I tried calling a local company that claimed that they were open 24/7. He said that we were too far away to help us. When I pointed out that they were only 1.5 miles away from us. He said that the crew was too far away on a job to get to us. He said they would be able to come out on Monday and when I told him that I needed to get to work on Monday, he told me that I would need to take an Uber! I called another local company and he said he would be right over. He never showed up and never bothered to confirm but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I finally came to the conclusion that he was not going to show and called Trinity at 4:30. These guys are 22 miles away from us but he talked with me and had me send some pictures and take a few measurements to see if they had the parts we needed. He said that he could have a technician out on Sunday morning between 9 and 11. Mychal showed up at 10:00 and fixed the spring and answered a few questions. He was polite and did not seem to be angry about having to work on a Sunday morning. I contacted the owner to give him my credit card number, like we agreed and he even ended the phone call stating that he appreciated me. I appreciate them helping me out in a pinch more.
